  • Start your own video membership with Uscreen! geni.us/katie-uscreen 📹 Five years ago, I graduated from university and decided I wanted to pursue entrepreneurship - I knew I always wanted to be a full-time UA-camr, but the only problem was, I had about 2,000 subscribers. I knew that wasn’t enough to make a full-time living so I used the skills I had gained from making videos for the internet and started freelancing. This was the beginning of my journey to building a six figure content business. Today, I'm going to talk you through the ups and downs of my business journey - with a few lessons on what I'd do differently if I had to do it again.

As always Katie, I really appreciate the transparency in your content. Too many people sell the dream without any actual substance or proof of what their journey was truly like. I really appreciate your content 👏

New subscriber here. I don't wear makeup or watch makeup tutorials of any kind, but for some reason I love hearing you talk about your business and growth strategies while getting ready for the day and putting on makeup. No idea why, but it's working and fun to watch!

Every single one of your videos gives me hope and obviously tips I can use in my own journey! I love seeing where UA-camrs started their journey compared to where they are now. It’s fun seeing how they’ve grown and improved! Because we can’t start out doing this perfectly from day one. We all grow and learn through this process

I'm a teacher which had been my dream career since I was a teenager but after years of studying at university and some years at work now, I'm just bored af, cognitively. Thus, even though teachers here in Germany earn good money (net: 3.500€/Month), I want to have a second income source to stay flexible and make things possible. However, it can't be a job where I've set work hours because 12hrs days (morning at school, afternoon at second job) will burn me out eventually (it really does, I'm in that position right now).
So I just finally decided to start that youtube channel, I just bought a tripod and am watching a lot of your content to create a good plan. Many thanks for the advice!

First of all, 6 figures of profit is mad goals! Thank you for making that distinction between revenue and profit because most people don't when talking about this. I'm going to hit 6 figures in revenue this year at year 3 of my business, but am very far from 6 figures of profit.
That mental health aspect has been huge for me to really accept so that I'm not constantly working on the brink of burnout. My current focus is continuing to build my digital income streams so that I can eventually step back from my in person services.
Always love your transparency, authenticity, and content, thanks so much ❤

I‘m currently at the place where you where when you finished college/university and decided to go freelance to finance your creative online job: Was it difficult for you to make that move? How did it feel to you to explain the people in your life (other than your partner) that you won’t work whatever you studied but rather go down the path of social media work? I would be so grateful for your insight 😭❤️❤️

To piggy back on the beginning of your UA-cam career. I am interested in starting a UA-cam channel. For me, this will not be something I have to depend on to make money. I am retired and I already have income.
My question to you is in order to start a profitable UA-cam channel, how long will it take me to actually see a profit? What are some of the things you should be thinking about before I actually start investing my time into this. Are there other income streams?😊
