So would I be right that this doesn't work if you have auto layer? I can't seem to get it to work except by adding a physics to the auto layer, but then there is only one sound. Adding physics to the other layers doesn't work unless I delete the auto layer, but then my landscape is a mess. Is there a way?
I am trying this in UE5 and don't know if the process has changed or if I am missing something but it constantly crashes my editor. Would you be able to do another video for the updated UE?
There should be no issue like that, it runs the code once when the animation hits the notify point. You might have done something different with the notifys.
@@ItsMeBro Thank you for your reply. It seems the sounds were messed up on import to be longer than they actually were so it was the delay. A reimport fixed that! Great tutorial
I cut the out of different audios. Search on youtube there are quite a few compilations of different sounds. But I will be posting some sounds on my website in the month of december.
friend, the tutorial worked well to a certain extent.. when I need to go down a slope or go up (landscape structure), there is no step sound.. only when I'm walking on a flat place.. I looked for a tutorial but I couldn't find it anywhere someone talking about it
Thank you!!
I've watch so many videos where they said this can't be done . Thanks bro

You used the BreakHitResult but did not end up using it. Is it necessary?

Ok, so I did multiple runs after quite literally each step, and figured out it only causes a crash after the part added to the Animation Blueprint.
This was great, thank you! Is there a way of making it update faster though? Some steps don't produce sounds or play 2 at once

And as a challenge for you. How about an auto landscape layer with physics material output and footstep sounds ;-)
Can you please leave a link to where you found the footstep sounds
