- Towing 5th wheel back to west Texas, removed silencer ring from turbo absolutely sounds the same as before. Complete waste of time and don’t recommend it.
15 6.7, fully deleted
You have to have a higher flow intake than stock to notice anything
You see that yellow flashing arrow? that means you have to yield to that car... 0:35 / 2:31
Does it hurt the turbo
I need to find a good cdl job, tanker would be nice, or pipe. Help me....been stuck in old Mexico for over 10 years with occasional trips to the states to make money. Long story short. I married my Mexican beauty 15 years ago. And of course...I tried to get her papers, but what we got was a 10 year bar with no entry into the states. Now we just completed it...only to find out we will have another 3 years for the waiver process and re apply. Anyways...I have oilfield experience in Texas barnett shale, Wyoming the Jonah and Williston ND. All cdl. That's how we have survived. But...it's time to get at it again...any pointers would be very appreciated! Thanks for sharing you videos, these are my eyes in the field for now.
Apply for anything West Texas, plenty work still going on out here no doubt!
I'm sorry how rude of me I retract everything I said. Let me start over. 1. remove your silencer ring 2. Remove muffler go straight pipe 3. Remove tornado baffle in the air intake after your air filter but b4 your turbo. "Whistling Dixie"
That’s what I did…
So you deleted your truck and gave it more power, but you’re still making it suck air through the factory airbox? You don’t deserve to hear your turbo.
I plan to get an intake in the near future now that the truck doesn’t go to West Texas anymore for work.
My truck is not even deleted yet, all I have is an aftermarket air intake. My Turbo spools up much faster than before and is very loud.
I hear in order for this to actually work you need a intake set up if not you won’t hear it much
Can you show a video of you doing a muf delete
I would but trading the truck off a month ago, started having issues
Just put a 467 turbo on it with a straight pipe
You have a cold air intake? Or factory air box?
yes S&B intake
I'm assuming you also took the intake muffler out?
Yes, first day I bought the truck that got yanked.
@@Jankycattlecompany oh alright, I'm glad I found this video because I was thinking about it but then I decided against it because it just dawned on me that if I wanted my truck to make all this noise then maybe I should actually work on it and earn that noise, you know? Like if my current turbo goes out then maybe look for an aftermarket turbo
CheekyKnob.... I've never heard of a INTAKE MUFFLER.....I think you meant EXHAUST MUFFLER...
@@slit4659 no...there's a intake muffler on these trucks. Its a baffle in the intake.
The Turbo probably doesn’t work as well on a base model
Pull them rings and get all the air captivation going on
..... cavitation
God Bless in Jesus Christ Name Amen.
Hi mr. Mike i watched your channel if we could say its the first youtube channel for lease operator so until now we never saw you in action and we want that , you said in previous videos that is a little difficult to take videos in work , if you need any montage in your videos exemple for censoring things like names, tag numbers ...etc i am here to help thanks .
Agree and I will try. Problem is a lot of companies, especially majors have very strict guidelines to follow even if everything is censored if it could be traced to a certain location I could be responsible for it. Definitely a fine line but I’m going to try and get some old dumps/ valves and make videos of how to rebuild them.
I’ll make a better effort going forward as I’ve been swamped cause it seems like we are always short handed because people take vacation during summers while kids are out of school.
Thanks for the support 👍
If you don’t have an aftermarket air intake none of that is doing anything. In fact anyone who deletes their truck and does not put an aftermarket air intake is a fool. It’s like running a marathon breathing through a straw. Of course it’s not going to be louder, it needs to breathe.
There have been study to show stock air can support 500ish horsepower without power declines; but I do understand where you are coming from and a metal intake piping would “echo” turbo sounds in general
Yes! I did it waste of time!
