Universities should teach TRUTH and FACTS. Instead they decided to get Political (Far Left/Democrat) and decided they could be the Virtue-Signaling decider of what is RIGHT and WRONG for all of society. Well now you either support humanity and an end to the war because all war is bad and this war is clearly over (which the powerful, rich, elite Zionists that fund/run these Universities will not allow until they occupy all of Palestine/Israel while committing true genocide and clear war-crimes according to the agreed upon Geneva Convention) or you support your $$$ cash-cow, powerful elites/rulers that are Jewish mostly that act only in ways that benefit the Zionistic agenda at all levels of society (which the Left and College students/customers will not allow because they act only on emotion like a cult) hahaha. I LOVE it. I hate BOTH sides so this is fun to watch. The Hypocrisy/Priorities come full circle for BOTH evil groups. I knew the Left/universities would eventually consume themselves but didn’t see this coming. Even the rich, powerful Zionists will regret coming out of the shadows (by flexing their power/influence in such clearly hypocritical ways) in about 5-10 years when these college kids start VOTING because they wont forget who secretly rules them (and the American Government, Media, Banks) ever again. Daughtry has presented to the world a book picked up on campus entitled 'Terrorism: A Very Short Introduction' as if it were an ISIS manual. He used this to demonstrate a tendency on campus. Trouble is, that's a book published by the Oxford Press in a series of sociological studies, other 'very short introductions' in the series including 'violence' and 'organised crime'. Not only should Daughtry not have condemned their presence, but he really ought not to have been ignorant as to their existence and probably should read them himself if he is so ill-informed. If we are to tackle terrorism - or violence, or organised crime - we need to study such phenomena and where are they going to be studied other than at university campuses, through what media other than publications by the academic press? Daughtry could, of course, go public, say he made an honest mistake in equating the publication with some sort of ISIS manual, and tell everyone to calm down. Or he could, if the disinformation was deliberate, say nothing more. In which case he is INTENTIONALLY stirring up heat and anger which, the last time I looked, isn't what the police are supposed to be doing. So, I await his self-correction and apology with interest as an honest cop doing his job. Until I hear it, though, I won't trust a damned word he says about these protests and neither should anyone else.

How is all of this protesting helping or solving the problems between Israel and Palestinians? These are American colleges being thrown into chaos by concern, contempt, and rage over an international conflict. Private institutions make their own rules and policies, within the confines of American law. If you aren't there to learn and go to class then GTFO. The right to peacefully protest under the Constitution does not mean you can disturb the peace or engage in disorderly conduct. These protesters don't seem to understand their limitations. They are not ending any human rights abuses in the Middle East by engaging in this behavior. No one has fear of consequences anymore. No one respects LEO or listens to their lawful orders today. No violence should be tolerated here on U.S. soil regarding an international conflict that we aren't directly involved in. The protesters are more than welcome to go to Gaza for that.

Protesting at a government building makes sense. Protesting on a college campus actively hurts your cause. It's like blocking roads, do you honestly think stopping random people from going to school/work/hospital etc is having a positive change or makes people resent your cause?

I was there. The protest was totally peaceful then the riot police came thru and rushed the encampment. Students got maced and arrested. It was a very bad look for the NYPD. The faculty was the first line against to riot police.
