I've always said and heard u-m-p
ALOT of people called it the ump back in the day, it's faster than saying u-m-p. I think more people who played MW2 back when it was new say ump and more recent players say u-m-p maybe, that's my guess. I've always said both
I always said U-M-P back when MW2 was prime. But I'd been playing since CoD2 at that point, and we always just said each letter individually for each anagram name. But it just depends on the person.

Same with Black Ops, all suppressed Assault Rifles sound the same
That's how it's been for most of the COD games. They just choose a few class specific suppressor sound effects and use those. So suppressed SMGs would all sound the same, suppressed pistols, etc.

The Gun Sounds in CoD is definitely one of the best aspects of the entire series. Some really give you Goose Bumps.
The FAMAS gets my vote, but I also like Scorpion EVO from BO2

The M1 Garand ping is on point. When I shoot it (in real life) it feels like you are actually in WaW.
Why not the MORS-1 From Advanced Warfare
The m16, commando and Galil from BO1, the desert eagle from cod 4, the mg42 from WaW are all awesome

The desert eagle from cod 4 is hands down the most iconic gun sound in the history of cod
I'm glad I agree with a lot of the guns here because usually I don't lol. My personal favorite is probably the QBB LSW with rapid fire.
I'm still partial to the SCAR-H from MW2, something with the echo after each shot got me, and the metal on metal sliding of the reload noise? Damn.
Just some picks that I would throw in, the M14 from COD 4. That thing belonged in my hands, music to my ears. and then strangely, the G11 from BO1, had an oddly satisfying rip to every shot.
Where's the Mors or Ballista? I always knew they were trouble when I was in a lobby hearing them. Or the LSAT from BO2? that thing's sound with a target finder made it the noob's #1 gun.
the intervention sounded like a laser towards the end of the shot. it just sounds wicked.
If it's any gun from bo3 it's the drakon it had such a menacing sound that you could here from any where on the map

I personally thing the Remington R5 from ghosts should be on this list. While there a lot of great sounding guns listed, the R5 had a very high authoritative sound when it was shot.

The scorpion with rapid fire in Black Ops 2 sounded flippin' insane.
mp7 mw3, ak47 mw2, dsr50 bo2, silenced p90 cod 4, silenced m4 mw2, scar H bo2, bal21 AW, Springfield waw, acr mw2, barett 50 cal cod4
That AN94 tho. I think he forgot to bring the audio back up.
Mine are the QBB LSW from BO2, the Enfield from BO1, the Five-Seven from BO2, etc.

mida multitool on destiny has a very similar sound to the garand, made me so happy when I first pulled the trigger
The Remington or the AK12 from Ghosts, both tied for my favorite assault rifles in that game.
Any LMG sounds amazing. My top would be the suppressed MP5 from MW 2019.

Don't know about any of you, but I personally love the sound of the gorgon from black ops 3. The slow rate of fire and the deep meaty boom of the shell makes it sound like you are holding an AA gun in your hands.
Always loved the M60 from COD4, and the AW Atlas 20mm
I think that the M1911 from BO1 should have been on the top 10. Sounded so realistic!
Dessert Eagle and the Barrett should of for sure been on the list
I know this is a new game and its not the best but the KBAR-32 with a silencer from infinite warfare sounds amazing!

scorpion evo from bo2 should be in the top 10. With rapid fire it sounds like a pissed off woodpecker who's been on a diet of caffeine, sugar and some form of drug
I gotta go with the MSR, but the honorable mentions are way up there too.
I loved the sound of the death machine from bo2 when you held down the trigger
I love the sound of the mk14 from mw3, but if the series covered every gun I would say the scavenger from cotd zombies is hands down the best sound
I swear if theres no Intervention, Barrett 50.cal from Mw2 and Deagle from Mw... Im gonna be so mad... Msr and Mw2 G18 also sounded really good
Peace keeper Mk 2 from bo3 you can hear it across the map and just sounded great
