The Shoei VFX-EVO Helmet evolved from Shoei's successful VFX-W to take this off-road motorcycle helmet to the next level. Featuring Shoei's exclusive Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus (AIM+) construction combines high performance fibers with organic fibers to create a shell structure that is lightweight, rigid, while extra front intake vents combine with rear exhaust outlets and an enlarged neck outlet vent to maximize flow-through ventilation. Other standout features include the 3D Max-Dry Removable Liner System, M.E.D.S. (Motion Energy Distribution System), a flexible insert that helps absorb sudden impacts, and expanded rib shapes across the rear for increased strap holding performance for goggle wearers. Have worn a Shoei VXF-W since 2015 or so. Guys like Windham and Josh Grant made that one look so damn cool lmao. Havent considered anything else but the EVO for my next upgrade. Best styled helmet shape out there too.

Switched to Shoei after wearing Fox, LS2, EVS and Fly and will say for now, I’ll continue to wear a Shoei. Best fitting helmet for me and given I woods race, the venting is also nice along with the safety aspect.
Can you tell real weight of helmet? I’m considering between this and vx pro4

Does anyone know if the VFX-Evo can have a Cardo EDGE Bluetooth installed inside this helmet? Are there pockets for the speakers like street helmets? If not, what helmets for mx can? Tia
I have a Bell, Shoei and TLD. What helmet do l feel the most comfortable and safest in ? Shoei
The Bell is the easiest to use and clean with the magnetic pads and D ring strap magnet. Shoei has the least amount of vents, but each one actually works and obviously was tested in a wind tunnel. Other helmets have got vent holes everywhere, but the don't do very much.
Was between this n the moto 10 got the 10 because of the mips plus spherical system and the two piece shell it breathes really well
Chase, great review I will say and appreciate your honest opinion on the helmet. I tried this helmet on a few months back and completely agree with you on the fit, however I am stuck between the Bell Moto-10, Arai's VX-PRO4, and the Shoei VFX-EVO. My question is which of this helmets would you go with out of the three and why? I'm also curious if you are ever going to do the vs. with helmets?
Hey! Sorry I never responded to this. Unfortunately, comment slip through the cracks sometimes. Did you end up making a decision? If not, I would choose the Shoei out of those three. It doesn't have newer advance technology as the Bell, but the fit and the comfort, in my opinion is better than the Bell and Arai. The Arai is also dang comfortable, but I'd go with the Shoei - Chase
@@rmatvmc Completely understand and I did end up going with the Shoei just based on fit and comfort which was pretty accurate.
What would you choose? This or the FlyRacing Formula Carbon Prime?
Personally, I would choose the Shoei. The Formula is super light and comfortable, but the way the Shoei fits is hard to beat. And personally, I love how the look. - Chase
Just got a moto 10 t h wondering if i spent $ for no reason n could have got this if all i care about is safety and venting
The moto 10 is a great helmet but they are pricey. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. - Chase
What the difference between the shoei evo and the WR?
The WR is the European version and I believe they call it the WR to separate it from the EVO based on the safety certification. The WR version is not SNELL or DOT. Instead, it's ECE and, I believe, SHARP.
What are the differences between Shoei VFX-WR 06 and VFX-EVO? Are they the same helmet just the WR 06 is the European version and EVO is American? And what is Shoei VFX-WR?
That is correct, the WR model is for international markets.

I love the fit and looks, but don't like the liner system. I wish they made that better.
Yes, the liner is a little pesky and difficult to remove and put back in correctly. Bell are super easy, but still feel the Shoei is the most comfortable and I feel the safest in it.
Yeah, I hadn't taken it out until after this video but I get where you're coming from. It isn't the easiest to put back in but I can live with it. If only all helmets had the Bell magnetic cheek pads. - Chase
Chase always respected your reviews felt they where very honest, however when this helmet came out in 2018 your product spot light you said you owned a shoei helmet before. This ride review said it’s your 1st riding in a shoei helmet. What gives conflicting reviews discredits your opinion?????
You know what, you're right. After I read this I remembered that I had the old Shoei VFX circa 2013ish. That being said, It was so long ago that I don't even know if it would still be relevant haha. I understand your concern but it wasn't done on purpose. - Chase
Only Shoei and Arai are hand mad in Japan. All other shells are made in China or Indonesia.
