545 lb Deadlift @ 198

  • Still need to lean out before clean bulking back up so I can hit 585 at 198, but then again when I do my next meet I can actually be around 204-205 and drop a ton of water the day out and rehydrate/eat after weigh-ins. The real goal before going back to 220 is hitting 600+ at 198, then I'll hit 700 the next time I'm back up to 220.

      Alex Wolstencroft been off for a bit. Me and the wife had our first baby so training took second place. Starting to get back into it now though.

      +Destroyer TV thanks I know I could still improve and get a bit more upright and hips lower, but I feel like I've improved my form over time. When I drop to 5 plates and rep it I feel like I can dial it in tighter.

    Try taking the slack out of the bar before you pull, otherwise no matter how explosive and strong you are, the bar speeds up then slows because you've hit a sticking point before it's even left the ground. the bar will shake uncontrollably and throw you off balance. It may feel like it comes off the ground slower but your speed will be consistent. Course I'm just an internet guy, don't take my word for it...

      +pbhenry3 This is a gym lift, I've done 585 at my first meet and a 600 gym lift with just chalk so my grip is there I just didn't have chalk. And since when is beltless a requirement? troll/10
