  • Let's do a Review the Dewalt Reciprocating saw and see how it has performed over many years of use and abuse. I'll use my Dewalt Reciprocating saw to do a comparison between Corded and Cordless Reciprocating saws. A while back a subscriber asked me to compare Corded vs Cordless Reciprocating saws. So I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to do both a Long Term Review of my Corded Dewalt Reciprocating saw and Other Cordless Brand Reciprocating saws that I have reviewed in the past. I will go into detail on the things I believe matter when using these saws and give you my impression of the Corded vs Cordless Saws.

I made this video per the request of a viewer to do a comparison of reciprocating saws. He wanted me to compare corded vs cordless saws. I hope this helps you better understand the difference between the two if you are in the market to buy one but can only afford one saw. They each have their pros and cons as I explain in the video. If you have a video idea you would like made, just comment on one of my videos or send me an email and I'll be happy to make one for you.

Great review, I just bought an older Dewalt corded DW-304 sawzall at my local pawnshop, it’s the older model single position blade, it had a broken blade in it but an easy fix, it is a great saw runs flawlessly and built like a tank, I would put it against any newer saw any day. Thanks for sharing & Take Care

Stopped at my local lowes this evening to buy one,but they were out. I settled for a craftsman they had in stock. I got home and read the reviews and it wasn't good. I haven't taken it out of the box yet so it's going back. Did a search and found a store 20 miles away that has them in stock. I think it's worth the extra $20 and extra drive to get what I want. I tryin buy the best tools I can afford, and craftsman just ain't it.

Craftsman is just a Stanley rebranded tool now anyway, so you're better off with a Dewalt. I've had my Dewalt for around 15 years with no problems.

My cordless Ryobi recip just croaked.... chisel bit got stuck and I destroyed it trying to disassemble to remove it. I believe the current Dewalt version will be the winner. Don't care if it's corded... almost prefer it now.
