It could be said that the light show looks futuristic by today’s standards; but this concert took place 30 years ago in 1994. This is another example of Pink Floyd being ahead of their time.
Pink Floyd is the Greatest Live Performance Band in the History of this planet. They are the one band that sounds as good live as they do in the studio. The lights synchronized with the music to latch onto your emotions and pull them to the surface.
I saw PF in 1972, in Germersheim, Germany, at the Second British Rock Gathering! They opened with One Of These Days! And they had a light show, just not as ornate as Pulse.😊 their music is just as relevant today as it was 50+ years ago. For 100,000+ attendees, it was electric....in more ways than one!😊
I went to this show. I went to their last U.S. tour date in New Jersey. I was alone, I bought a ticket from a scalper, a hit of acid, and a pretzel. I had no other money. I will never forget that show. When your there, the vibration of the music goes right through you. A magical trip it was.
Saw the show in Denver with a group of friends. One friend was tripping and didn't remember most of the show the next day. So, he bought a ticket to a show in Chicago and took a Greyhound bus out and back to see it. (And got robbed at the YMCA, but hey... he saw Pink Floyd. Again!!)
I was there in '88 in Australia. It was as though angels were singing that night. God made David Gilmour then did a mic drop and walked away smiling to himself.
When they announce 14 days in a row sold out Earl's Court made me think this was going to be their last. saw 5 times. Tell me any group will be relevant today in 30 yrs. Should give Gimours 2 solo 's videos " live at Gdansk" & "Live at Pompeii" not the big Mark Brinkman stage but more Dave's playing. Gdansk 'comfortably numb" Dave has an orchestra backing this up. Amazing
Props for doing the uncut version with the extended guitar solo. Most people don't even know this version exists. I saw this tour at BC Place in Vancouver Canada and it was exactly as incredible as you think it was.
I saw Pink Floyds' "The Wall" Concert at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, NY in February of 1980. It was the most spectacular performance I've ever seen,... of any kind,... in all my 68 years of life! Floyd is the most incredible Rock band ever, and no one put on a Performance/Show like Pink Floyd did. I've been to a lot of concerts of some of the greatest Classic Rock bands of the 1970s, and nobody was in their league putting on a Show, nobody!
My all time favorite live concert that meant a lot to me when the concert arrived on April 17, 1994. Los Angeles concert at the Rose Bowl. Partner's birthday was 2 days prior to the concert the show was her birthday present. I got tickets on the floor 15th row almost dead center, $400 a seat and the show was worth double that price to me. Forgot to mention she was 5 months expecting at the time. 🙂.... Great reaction ELG!
Phoenix, Arizona ~ Sun Devil Stadium, with 65,000 friends. And PULSE was ever better live than it looks on video. Pink Floyd put speakers around the perimeter of the stadium, so sounds could come at you from above, behind, or from across the venue. Also, the lights were VERY tightly synced with the music all night long. They were almost another performer. And in some songs, the bass notes SHOOK an American football stadium. And that STAGE!! Far and away the best concert I've ever seen.
I was at Earl's Court and the video doesn't do it justice, the lights overwhelmed the camera at times, there's over 20,000 people at the concert and over the 12 nights it ended up with over 275,000 who attended, it was a night I'll never forget. Enjoy the rest of the concert it's 3 hours long and contains the entire 'Dark Side of the Moon ' album.
I really regret never having seen Pink Floyd in concert. However much I love the videos from the show, I’m sure it will never be like seeing them perform live.
Whoa! I am 72 and grew up with this group and used my bi-weekly paychecks to buy concert tickets for close to 5 years. Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd are still my fav groups! Thank you for the trip down memory lane totally awesome, love sharing this with you sir!
Huge kudos to you sir. You reacted to the uncut version. Whether by luck or diligence, you have done what very few reactors before you have managed. 👍😁👍
Saw them at Knebworth Park UK in 1975; they played a combination of the albums Animals/Wish You Were Here/Dark Side, with Echoes as an encore. At one point a scale model of a WW2 nimbler crashed into the stage on a wire from about 250 yards away. They were spectacular even then!
Here's a few for you.. Pink Floyd "Echoes" (Part1) Live at Pompeii 1972 No Audience, No Lights, No Pyrotechnics just Gods playing to the Gods Portishead "Glory Box" Live. Celebration of being a Woman just so cool. The Cranberries "Zombie" hard hitting about the conflict in Northern Ireland, brilliant vocal!
I saw them at this venue on this tour but not this night. It was pretty much mind blowin actually sitting there watching this show. They sold out 14 nights in a row at this venue.
There certainly was something about them doing it live. I was actually over on the left, upper tier. I have people keep on about it today and how jealous they have always been.
u said “Tool”… i will help u… since i am a rock fan of this music from the 70s-90s… it went “concept rock” Pink Floyd, Rush, Queensryche, Pearl Jam, Tool…. all were in this line and all were amazing
I'm afraid to have to disagree with you my friend when you said tool have taken this kind of music to another level absolutely not in my opinion there was and not now has there ever been a band that can compete with Pink Floyd play the same or even better them, the greatest progressive rock band that their has ever been and ever will be just dive into their massive catalogue of greatness and you will see what i actually mean.😊
Tool just performed in my hometown el passo tx. In front of maybe a crowd of 15,000, i saw pink floyd here in el paso at the sun bowl stadium in front of over 55,000 in attendance. You cant compare the greatness of Floyd to Tool. Tool may be great in their on right but not like Pink Floyd.
If you experience almost any track from the “ Pulse” concert you’ll be seduced into wanting to experience everything and I do mean everything they have ever produced, I personally prefer the live versions, some purists prefer the studio versions and that’s fair enough, but the live versions always seem to have something extra, enjoy you journey into the Pink Floyd rabbit hole, it’s very very deep.
@@steveboyes2090 It was the 4K 'untouched' version, which includes about 90 seconds of additional guitar solo where David was a tad pitchy (which he chose to edit out, in the two most popular UA-cam versions.) The sound is noticeably clearer and cleaner.
I've heard quite a few guitar solos, but this one is among the better ones. Check out Gary Moore also an amazing guitarist. But always come back to this one. Is something special about David Gilmour. But surely something to say that it was my favorite in my youth, same with Gary Moore. I am 55 years old now. Greetings from Norway. 😀
You can just re-edit a blocked video and upload again. A lot of influencers reacting to videos put a blur or text over the screen to avoid blocks. Idk if this is a better option than Patreon but I watch these videos ALL the time and that semis to be what most influencers do
Hey, you should watch "The Chilling Demise Of Syd Barrett" by Factinate. It covers the early history of Pink Floyd, and how the slow decent into insanity of bandmember Syd Barrett inspired Dark Side of the Moon and especially Wish You Were Here. Please check it out!!
The best band ever!!! Thank you!
It could be said that the light show looks futuristic by today’s standards; but this concert took place 30 years ago in 1994. This is another example of Pink Floyd being ahead of their time.
Don't remind me how long ago it was! Lol. Its mad when I think about it.
1994 wasn't 30 ye...... No.... No.... NO!
@@joshritz7067 You too, eh? LOL!

The entire pulse concert is off the charts even 30 yrs later. Tool can’t hold a candle to this
You got that right!!!!
Pink Floyd are brilliantly different.
Greatest live guitar solo ever Greatest live concert ever!! And this was 1994🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I went to this show. I went to their last U.S. tour date in New Jersey. I was alone, I bought a ticket from a scalper, a hit of acid, and a pretzel. I had no other money. I will never forget that show. When your there, the vibration of the music goes right through you. A magical trip it was.
I saw this tour in Washington DC, best concert I ever saw.

I was at Earl's Court on the night this was recorded.
I saw it in Atlanta the fall of 94 for three straight nights.
I was there in '88 in Australia.
It was as though angels were singing that night.
God made David Gilmour then did a mic drop and walked away smiling to himself.
"Tool", doesn't hold a candle to Pink Floyd.
They only wish they did.
FACT.
tool are not fit to breathe the same air as PF

One of the things that is rarely mentioned is the superb sound quality at this concert - ya had to be there

That solo is the voice of god.
I saw that same tour in 94 at Yankees stadium. Best concert ever. And yes, best, most beautiful, heart and soul touching guitar solo ever.

Dude!!! I was there.2 rows from the top back of stadium and still the best concert I've ever been to.
The big-ass crowd as you put it was sold out 15 nights in a row. That's earls Court in London which seats almost 20,000 people!
I was at Earl's Court and the video doesn't do it justice, the lights overwhelmed the camera at times, there's over 20,000 people at the concert and over the 12 nights it ended up with over 275,000 who attended, it was a night I'll never forget. thank you to have react the uncut version . 😎👍🎶
Great reaction! I would suggest listening to the studio version of TIME, followed by the PULSE version of TIME.
I really regret never having seen Pink Floyd in concert. However much I love the videos from the show, I’m sure it will never be like seeing them perform live.
From the same Pulse collection, please check out SORROW, and also RUN LIKE HELL.
I saw PF in 77' (the Animals tour) in Boston....Pink Floyd Transcends the music
Was at that performance. No words can describe it. Still gives me goose bumps watching the video of that show. Seen nothing to compare since.
Saw Pulse in El Paso! Was my wife's 1st concert lol!
I agree completely. I've seen Tool live twice. Never got to see Floyd live!😞

Early 70's Madison Wisconsin - purple microdot.
I was at the Pulse Concert in Cleveland Ohio 1994
There certainly was something about them doing it live.
I was actually over on the left, upper tier. I have people keep on about it today and how jealous they have always been.
🖤💚
I was there at that very show in Earles Court.
I saw them 3 nights in a row at Bobby Dodd stadium (Georgia Tech football stadium) in fall of 1994. The video does no justice to what I experienced
Earls Court in London UK, 25,000 seats (only place here big enough for PF)
u said “Tool”… i will help u… since i am a rock fan of this music from the 70s-90s… it went “concept rock” Pink Floyd, Rush, Queensryche, Pearl Jam, Tool…. all were in this line and all were amazing
You get your moneys worth at a PF concert.
You have to explain to me how you can enjoy a song by cutting it every two minutes.

It sounded like this in the venue. Just like you were sitting in your living room with stereo on.
The guitar solo sounded different
It wasn’t the remastered or the re-edit version- I enjoyed the difference.
@@steveboyes2090 It was the 4K 'untouched' version, which includes about 90 seconds of additional guitar solo where David was a tad pitchy (which he chose to edit out, in the two most popular UA-cam versions.) The sound is noticeably clearer and cleaner.
I agree. 'Tool' must have been heavily influenced by Pink Floyd (it is possible to appreciate both bands). I'd say Radiohead was influenced as well.
Have you reacted to Ren yet, he's amazing😁

it seems the audio not belong to that video. i think someone mix audio with some pieces from another vídeo ...
this isnt the same as my disc version at all
much better solo
Dude... everybody knows you can't pause a David Gilmour-solo...
You're thinking about needing a psychiatrist, listen to PF and get back on the ground you need to feel alive again.
Why do you stop the solo. 😡 I’m out of here
U like to hear yourself talk!
Shut up 😮
