    When you install the jam nut after the new tie rod is installed, wouldn't you try to avoid twisting the tie rod for protection by using another wrench?

      Bo Xing Sure you can do that

    Could this be the reason why my 96 Maxima tends to sway when I hit small bumps on the road?

      Check bushings for sway bar to start. This may help: ua-cam.com/video/JeSvn6J5SP4/v-deo.html

    can the inner tie rods make a rattling or thumping noise over bumps when bad? got a 2000 maxima and the noise is driving me crazy! changed lower arms, outer tie rods and noticed the inners were loose.

    That nut isn't reverse threads, you are just on the other end of it.

      You're correct. I call it reverse threads so people can relate. Cheers.

      CarsNToys so it's not reverse thread at all and I've spent hours tightening the nut. Thanks for nothing

    Are you working on the driver or passenger side ??

    • @CarsNToys
      @CarsNToys  6 років тому

      Passenger side. It's a good idea to replace on both sides.

    • @papoportillo1019
      @papoportillo1019 6 років тому

      CarsNToys I did both sides but now my steerings off like I need an alignment .. I tried aligning it myself made it better but not perfect ..

    • @CarsNToys
      @CarsNToys  6 років тому

      Yeah I go over how to keep the alignment as close as possible 3:45 in the video. Sounds like the tightening nut is in a different location prior to removal.
