The greatest thing I just heard you say: I just know, I don’t know how I know but I just know. You have the Inventors Spirit. I’m always tinkering with things around my home and I’m also behind with my hobbies and today while looking at my chord cutters email I somehow found you out and you just got me thinking outside of another box. Thanks

What’s up Danny Hodges? I built one of your antennas and placed it inside my attic, but I’m only getting about 13 channels on it, and 5 of those are in and out. It’s all good though, I put the RCA amplifier on it, then ran it through my Plex Server, which allows me to watch all my local channels via the internet, on my Plex app, on my phone, on my Samsung Smart TV, and on my Roku, any where in the world..... so the concept works great! I just need to get me one a little Higher up in the air. I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to post your videos. Half the time, I watch just to listen to you talk, you’re my kind of people. Wish we lived near one another, I’d love to hang out with you some brother. North Carolina Fan Here! Thanks, and keep em coming Big Danny!

Thank you, Danny! Channel Master is here in my town just outside of Phoenix. I talked to them the other day and they said they have switched suppliers on a few things. I think in general they are pretty good. The guy I talked to knew his stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with! Thank you!

His antenna is mostly plastic which doesn't hold up in sunlight! You can purchase an equivalent antenna locally that is mostly aluminum and it will last far longer and be cheaper!!!

I have a challenge for you. Danny, have you ever built this style antenna, built like a cell phone tower? The type of cell phone tower that has circular repeaters that send or receive signals 360 degrees, I wish you tube would let me post a picture, I’m curious how many tv stations you antenna would find if you made it with 5 of your antennas mounted on the pole in a round circle, have you done this, or is it possible, could be a crazy rich mans antenna, but it could also be your newest strongest most channels received antenna.
P.S. This could be called: ( Hodges 360degree Extreme Ultimate Antenna ), worlds strongest tv channel receiver antenna. 🔥🔥🔥 super hot idea 😀.
    Peace Crazyhorse. ✌️

I had some stations come into range on my TV the other day from 200km/124mile+ away, there was a bit of tropospheric ducting around that morning. The transmitter has a fair few stations (about 8) that my local transmitter doesn't have

Question sir? Have you tried connecting the elements Like the Channel Master CM-4228?
I made a Double Gray-Hooverman in a vertical configuration The elements are directly connected, using only one balun. + Channel Master CM-7778 preamp Super signal pulling power.. "Signal comes in, and stays in.

It's the second one down.. There is a single and double. Peace!
What I love about this style of antenna is that it only requires either 2 [single] or 4 piece's [double] of copper wire bent at different angles. Easy Peasy .. :)

Danny they make splitters that are brass with nickel plating for extra conductivity. I see you used twin leads from the individual antennas and brought down both leads into a balun. Am I correct in my thinking ???

There is websites that have testing of antennas. You build an antenna that you have in your mind on the screen as far measurements. And it tells you the RF gain in the frequency range. I can do some research if you're interested

Danny if I have tv stations from the north and the east do I need two antennas? Also the last time they said we needed to rescan to get the new broadcast signal I lost those stations. I don’t know if they have weakened their signals or what. I enjoy what you are showing. I just wanted to know if I should build two antennas to point in different directions to receive the stations from both directions?

Your right on the TVs having some good tuners and some just not that good. Even if you have two of the same models one may have a better tuner then the other. I have a high dollar Samsung 65" top of the line and I have a little 32" LG brand but the LG has a better tuner then the Samsung??? By the way on the video when you was making this antenna the rat story cracked me up!!

    Danny:
My ole double antenna picks up Knoxville about 50-85 miles away, but since the broadcast antennas are physically separated by quite a distance, i can only pick up two of three major stations at one time. Don't know about Macon stations physical separation.
BTW, I pick these stations up better with the antenna pointed the wrong way (not sure why this works, but it does).

Danny was talking about the smaller beam angle of this antenna. This is caused when two identical antennas are combined side by side. The horizontal beam gets smaller. If the two would be stacked vertically one above the other the vertical beam will get smaller instead and the horizontal beam would stay the same as a single version. A version of this antenna can be made with 8 bow ties all on the same two phase lines. It would be as powerful as this with easier construction. The transformer would be soldered in the center with four bow ties above and below.
