Before carrying out the repair please note:
The CP1 fuel pump operates at extremely high pressures, more than high enough to cause serious injury or death. Follow your vehicle manufacturers guidance on depressurize the fuel pump before commencing repair.
The repair needs to be carried out in an ultra clean environment; any contaminates greater than 2 micron (0.0002mm) that enter the pump or pipework can cause irreparable damage to the injector system. Customers have noted success in the past carrying out the repair submersed in pure and filtered diesel using latex gloves to handle the components, with the pump being thoroughly flushed through with clean diesel before being refitted to the vehicle. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure a sufficiently clean environment for this repair.
The Problem
It is common for the seals within the fuel pump to fail causing fuel leaks.
It is a common fault for the seals, gaskets and orings to deteriorate within the CP1 fuel pump leading to leaks around the pump. These pumps operate at extremely high pressures so even the smallest deterioration in a seal can lead to substantial fuel leaks and associated vehicle faults. Our kit includes replacement seals - those which commonly fail. Enabling you to repair the fuel pump you have without the vast cost of a new / refurbished unit.
Symptoms of the fault
Fuel leaking from the fuel pump, commonly from the heads of the pump, poor vehicle running or vehicle failing to start.

this video saved me £180+vat..many thanks😁😁😁
It's a good video. The only improvement I could suggest is stressing the need for absolute cleanliness.
your videos are very helpful...

At 7:00 remember that the ring should be faced with the cone down in the head!
Would be nice if you told us the torqu on the axel shaft and sensor too. :-)
Thanks

Thank you for the clear and helpful video.
May I ask please what is the Torque setting for the T30 torx bolts that secure the fuel pressure regulator?
How do you change the two small o rings on the fuel pressure regulator? One is teflon and can break when removing and installing. Why didn’t you I change these as they commonly fail it seems.
Can you order them on ebay? Is there a link please
@@edenhomesdesign I answered my own question by doing this job myself. My video here: ua-cam.com/video/l0kEew05Vw0/v-deo.html
Do you know the maximum pressure achieved by this high pressure pump?
No unfortunately not, apologies. - Georgina, X8R Ltd
Saved me 220 thanks
What do you call the brass fitting where the pipes go over?
Mine is leaking from there
Wow nice ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ muy bien explicado gracias
I did this recently and the HP pump still leaked. The fix? I 'milled' the rust off the cylinder heads and mating faces using a piece of glass and 400 grit alox paper. A good clean up and all was well.
The vid doesn't show replacement of the pressure regulator O-ring, a very common failure point.
Hi, thank you for the feedback. We're always looking to improve our parts, we shall certainly consider the addition of the pressure regulator O-ring.
To whoever is still watching this video in 2020: DON'T use latex gloves to work with diesel, as haydrocarbons break down the latex (that's the same reason why you don't use vaseline as a lubricant on a condom, btw). Better use VITON gloves, or NITRILE gloves when working with fuels and oils.
Hi there, thanks for the great tip! - Georgina, X8R Ltd
Hi dear, all videos are very helpful.🌻🌻🌻
so no need for assembly lube on the drive shaft.?? Just to assist the pump lubrication during the first start.?
they should soak all the internal parts with some clean Diesel, as the lubrication is realised by Diesel
@@uweeduinkorte1937 yes you are correct. I optted for assembly lube on moving parts until the diesel makes its way into the chambers. Then diesel takes over on prestart for new rebuilds.
@@jasonputtock4428the issue bro is that fuel systems, petrol, diesel and LPG even, are never rated for anything other than fuel. There are surface coatings on these parts that might dissolve in vasaline lube but not diesel oil, there's positive-displacement pumps squeezing known volumes of oil out of tiny injector holes, it really couldn't be a worse place to put some goop. I mean these Bosch pumps were pretty solid, they can allegedly run on straight vegtable oil, not simply B100 but, like, olive oil. Got to have the right seals and gaskets though.
@@cannaroe1213 Well I rebuilt my own PUMP and used assembly oil in it. Smeared a thin film over all metal surfaces and the van runs great. Now been running for 3K km and no issues what so ever. Thanks for your reply.

What about changing the shaft seal - simmering ?? It Can leak too !!! ! !!!
These do leak. Very often. I've had 2 leak into my engine twice !
Where is it?
@@booring2 on the shaft. My 1.7 Hyundai was 2 fuel pipes the wrong way around return on the inlet, so pressure was blowing it.
I`d a sudden high pressure fuel leak due to an broken tube. The broken tube is replaced, but no high pressure anymore. How do I restart the fuel pump?

hello there on 09:41 secund, what and for what is senzor?
@@dusanmarkovic4265 That sensor can connect with the ECU and tell it if the high pressure is absent due to the low pressure pump not delivering fuel to the high pressure
pump. Mercedes Sprinter has a similar safety that protects the high pressure pump from running dry.
How do I place my order?
