    I’m not a stylist, I just enjoy watching tutorials. Very professional. The cut and style are gorgeous. I recently went from waist length to a pixie cut and I love it! My stylist is a professional and I’m grateful for her skills. She keeps me looking on point. Maybe I’ll grow my hair back out, maybe I won’t. I’m loving my cut which is very versatile.

    I followed your technique and I cut my relative's hair and it came out all good. Thanks really needed this. Had no idea what i was doing and you helped. My relative didn't want to go to a salon cause of the pandemic and you helped. Gracias. Thanks.

    We followed this and I cut my baby girls hair! She's 10 and mixed and she's had a hard time between wanting to grow it and the maintenance of it. As she's gotten older her texture has changed a lot and she's just kind of given up trying and will throw it in a ponytail 100% of the time, no matter the condition;wet/dry/tangled or not. So when we saw your video she actually got excited! I'm not a professional, just a mom at home in quarantine. Thank you so much for the inspiration and instructions! She has some more curls than your model so we made some adjustments along the way but we LOVE how it came out! 😍

    Watching you flat iron her hair was so satisfying. She has beautiful thick hair and the cut framed her pretty face perfectly! I learned so much just hearing you explain your cutting method. Not a stylist myself but it’s useful to know when someone is taking the right steps on your hair.

    This video just gave me 2nd thoughts about cutting my hair. There is nothing worse than being stuck with a bad haircut. That's a nice cut for someone in their 50s but I would have been livid if someone gave me an outdated cut like that. The cut itself isn't terrible but it's not becoming on the client at all.

    • @amberjackson4017
      @amberjackson4017 4 роки тому +4

      Yeah I think it’s how she styled it because when she combed it in front of her face and gave it that edgy look, it looked better!! When she combed it to the side it definitely looks old fashioned. You’re right it’s not the cut it self, but I think it’s definitely the style of the cut.

  • @melissathomas2590

    Meechie you're always the bomb!!! You gave your model a versatile cut. She can do three or more different styles with her hair. I love it!!! I would want my hair to go forward or backward. I love it! Nice way to start off short for those who want a new look, but not too drastic. I enjoy watching you teach your work!!!

    I really hate how hard y'all go in her comments. Y'all have a right to an opinion but to be so disrespectful is unneeded as fuck. Her hair looks healthy as hell even while relaxed and although I'm not a huge fan of the style on the model, the cut still looks great and it doesn't mean that you bash her shit in the comments. Damn y'all are rude

    I am so nervous and scared but I’m cutting all my hair off and this time, I don’t mind getting a relaxer. Haven’t had one in close to ten years. I am ready for a new beginning and fresh start with my hair. It is so damaged due to having it pulled out and putting heat on it or simply just pulling it back tightly in a ponytail which makes my head hurt. 😞😞 love this cut and style!

This haircut is not only beautiful but the way you taught it makes me smile. I have been struggling with short haircutting and your tutorial is the first that helps me understand not only how but why I am cutting in a certain way in certain areas. I'm a cosmetologist and went to beauty school, I'm sure when going natural to relaxed , you first my apply 1 inch away from the scalp first to make sure sure the ends are processed first , doing it in sections, after that section is changing that's when you go to the roots just so the clients doesn't burn up before the entire head is processed. I'm not being rude but her hair wasn't processed . everyone works differently of course.

    • @elijahsmith2238
      @elijahsmith2238 4 роки тому

      Keisha Lewis actually that the way they teaches in school which just the protocol of the schools to give you the basics such s angles and points of a haircut. Just like coloring they say start on a certain side or whatever that’s the basic most cosmetologist’s once graduated starts where ever they want to the main thing to remember is when coloring is to apply mid shaft to ends alway around then apply to roots last why because the roots processes quicker do to the heat comes from the scalp will process the hair quicker which same when doing a virgin relaxer but once you become an experience cosmetologist you know how to do things differently without using school protocol because you knows the process one thing is as a cosmetologist you also have to know hair which means i don’t have to apply a relaxer at the mid shaft to ends first then go back do close to scalp I can put relaxer on entire hair smooth it all around rinse out wash why because I may just going after a certain outcome that may not need me to go to the school taught protocol reason going to school is to learn the hair and how some things work for some hair not on others so now that said she did the client hair according to what she knows as a professional cosmetologist school teaches you certain haircuts but not how to cut others as a cosmetologist you get creative and create haircuts that school don’t teach you as long you know the angles lines and points of the haircut you’re trying to achieve may ask how I know because I’m in school now

    This is beautiful,she look gorgeous! I usually don't like short hair styles, but this really brought tears to my eyes! Due to sickness,my pass the shoulder hair has fallen out, actually it's still falling, some people have told me my needs olive oil, castor oil, even coconut oil. And most definitely my hair will have to be cut off! My question to you is, did your model have an issue with her hair, or did she just want a change. I will highly appreciate any,and all suggestions you can give me. Thank you in advance, May God continue to bless you, and your gifted hands of creation! 🙏

    Just curious.... Why didnt you relax her hair bone straight?

    • @honeybun7890
      @honeybun7890 7 років тому +19

      At 3:10 you'll hear her say that she didn't leave the relaxer in for long because she wanted to keep the volume/thickness

    • @relaximdointhis
      @relaximdointhis 7 років тому +14

      Because to be honest as a professional you learn in school (or at least I did and many other ppl I know) that you only relax the texture out to 75-80% straight, boy completely because that runs the risk of over processed hair and unnecessary damage.

    • @jneve2340
      @jneve2340 7 років тому +3

      Most times when you put a relaxer on natural hair it won't get it bone straight the first or maybe even the second go around. That's kind of good and bad all at the same time.

    • @kekebaldwin6089

      Bone straight equals over processed hair. You done killed the porosity and all talking about bone straight.

      Yeah old fashion. She shouldn't had cut it wet. Black hair draws up when wet. So I like for my hair to be blowed dry straight first then cut, because you can cut tooo much off if it's wet.

    SUBSCRIBE 🔥🔥🔥This video was beyond detailed. You told us reasons why you cut certain ways, chose to cut some before the relaxer, taught me how to cut hair properly & more. I loved how you didn't just name the angles but showed us exactly where the angles were. Your Presentation was amazing.... I can go on and on. I like to learn step by step, hands on.... THIS WAS EVERYTHING! I've watched thousands of tutorials but this is the BEST by far!!!!
