Your cutting technique reminded me of a stylist that used to cut my hair when I was in my late teens/early twenties. I was a Kelly Rowland, Halle Berry, Toni Braxton, T-Boz Bomb! Unfortunately, After that Stylist, no one could or maybe they just wouldn't style me without having my hair look like somebody's old auntie. So I stopped going to salons. I'm a natural 4c now but if I knew of a stylist near me who was passionate about cutting and styling, I would still have my relaxed short hair now in my mid 40s... I know I said a lot 🤭 but thank you for the video. Job well done. 2024.

I don't mean in age. I mean that (not the case here), but when you deal with clients that have damaged hair or hair loss you are always mature & kind. You don't harp on the problem like many do making the customer feel worse as if they don't slready know. Yes! Isn't that the worst when you go to a stylist and they make you feel bad because your hair is in bad shape. Nothing wrong with being honest about the situation but tact is everything! DMS always dose a dope job on these vids💪🏾
Damasterstylist I have a license as well, and I wouldn’t jeopardize the client’s hair combing a relaxer through it, regardless of what some schools don’t teach. I don’t know of a reputable school that would teach you to comb a relaxer through a client’s hair. You use the flat side of the comb to smooth the relaxer into the hair but never comb it through the hair, it can cause breakage.

Wow just in the last 20 years the way we work black hair is so amazing. Ive been doing hair since the 1960s and we didnt have the technology or the tools to make all that work at once.
I have a style cut too, relaxer. But want to start putting color in my hair (just at the top). Don't want to over process my hair with too many chemicals from the relaxer and color. So decided to stop getting relaxers. But was debating if I should do a partial relaxer or let the whole hair be natural. Thanks to this video I'll do a partial relaxer! Thanks!
