Nike literally did a flash forward of how football would evolve in the upcoming years, now a days we are in these times. Very tactical, no mistakes, no individuality, no fenomenal football, more… robotic

This video pretty much sums up what football is becoming.
"You play like it's just a game, they play like it's a job."
Scaloni “ "Of course, there are no dribblers. There are no dribblers because as soon as they receive the ball you say 'Pass it!'. Imagine if Messi when he was eight years old had been told all the time 'Pass it!' by his coaches, we wouldn't have him today.”

This advertisement really hits different if you watch football today on how robotic it’s really become!! Nike really saw the future
But unintentionally. In this ad the individualism, flair and risk-taking football wins in the end. In reality, the robotic, controlled, risk-averse, modern style of football has become the status quo
Imagina a match like this would be played in real life, this would change the world and would be the biggest football game in history.

@Justin G yes nice woke friend I have met yeah entertaining is for distraction
Watching it years later refreshed my memory of my childhood dreams of being a world-class footballer
such a nostalgia
So the clones in this ad predicted how many modern teams play today. Reduce risk and chaos, control the game, make everything as predictable as possible.
The clones won, youth academies coach out freedom, individuality and risk taking. Saka is a fantastic player, but he is emblematic of the modern game. Young players a decade ago would never be as efficient and play as safe as he does. The state of football today is more results > entertainment than ever. Crazy how this aged

8 years after the Last Game commercial was aired:
Franck Ribéry
He sadly did not participate in the World Cup due to injury . However, he continued to play for FC Bayern until 2019, winning 5 more Bundesliga titles, 2 DFB cups, and 3 DFB Supercups. He moved to Fiornentina and then Saleritana in 2021 before retiring from football a year later, age 39. He is now Saleritana's technical collaborator.
Andrés Iniesta
His team crashed out of the group stage in the World Cup. He continued to play for Barcelona and won the treble in 2015, before adding 2 more LaLiga titles, 3 Copa del Reys, 1 Supercopa, 1 UEFA Super Cup and 1 Club World Cup to his collection. He is also included in the 2018 World Cup squad, where Spain lost to Russia on penalties in the RO16. He left Barca in 2018 for Vissel Kobe, where he is still playing today. He retired from international football after the 2018 World Cup
Tim Howard
His team lost to Belgium in the R016. However, he made 15 saves, the most in a World Cup match. He continued to play for Everton in 2016 before moving back to the US for Colorado Rapids, and then Memphis 901 in the second division in 2019, where he hung up his gloves in 2021. He retired from international football in 2017, but not before winning the Gold Cup that same year.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
He played for PSG for another 2 years, where he won 2 more Ligue 1 titles, 2 Coupe de France, 2 Coupe de la Ligue, and 1 Trophee dés Champions He moved to Manchester United, where he won the Community Shield, League Cup, and 2017 Europa League. He then moved to LA to play for Galaxy from 2018 to 2019. In 2020, he moved back to AC Milan and won the Scudetto in 2022. At the age of 41, he still plays for Milan, albeit through injuries.
Wayne Rooney
His team crashed out of the group stage in the World Cup. He continued to play for United until 2017, where he wone the 2016 FA Cup and won the Community Shield, League Cup, and Europa League in his last season with the club. He played for his boyhood club, Everton, for a season before moving to the US to play for D.C. United and then back to England to play for Derby County. He retired in 2020 and is now the head coach of D.C. United
David Luiz
His team lost 7-1 to Germany in the semis. He was bought by PSG after the World Cup, winning 2 domestic trebles in a row. He returned to Chelsea in 2016, winning the Premier League in 2017, the FA Cup in 2018, and the Europa League in 2019. He then played for Arsenal for 2 seasons before moving to Flamengo in 2021, winning the 2022 Copa Libertadores. He retired from international football in 2017.
Neymar
He was injured when his team lost 7-1 to Germany in the semis. He won the treble in his second season with Barcelona before adding 2 Copa del Reys, 1 LaLiga title, and 1 Club World Cup. In 2017, he moved to PSG with a record transfer fee of €222 million, making him the most expensive player ever. He won 4 Ligue 1 titles, 2 Coupe de la Ligue, 3 Coupe de France, and 3 Trophee des Champions as of 2022. He played for Brazil in the 2018 and 2022 World Cup, losing to Belgium and Croatia both in the quarters.
Cristiano Ronaldo
His team crashed out of the group stage in the World Cup. He continued to make a tremendous career for Real Madrid, winning his second LaLiga title in 2017, the Supercopa the same year, 2 Club World Cups, 1 UEFA Super Cup, and 3 Champions League titles in a row (2016-2018). He moved to Juventus from 2018 to 2021, winning 2 Scudettos, 2 Supercoppa Italiana, and the Coppa Italia on his last season. He moved back to United in 2021 but is now more a bench player than a starter. However, he would still go on to win 2 more Ballon D'ors and 2 FIFA Men's Best Player, all in a row (2016-2017). In 2021, he became the player with the most international goals. He played for Portugal in 2018 (losing to Uruguay in RO16) and 2022 (losing to Morocco in the quarters) World Cups
(Update: Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr in December 2022)
