Your a natural brother and I can tell that you have a strong passion for cutlery and I think that’s awesome. Keep up the good work. You got this like a boss. I thank you and my family thanks you for your service to our great nation 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸many blessings
Hey Donavan thanks for the support brother! Ive been down with the flu this past week but hopefully can get some more videos going next week! Probably gonna do the Condor K Tac and the BPS HK!
Hey Ralph! Thanks for asking! Due to the EKGH having wooden handle, I would give the best chance of durability to the Condor KTAC! I also has a metal pommel on it which will protect the micarta handles when throwing!
I've been looking at a traditional style kukri from EGKH The only thing worrying me is the rat tail tang it has I know traditional kukris have rattails but i wanted to ask if this may be a issue.
Just in case this is still an open issue for you: The short answer is no. Especially with reasonably khukuri work, you won't have anything to worry about at all if the maker does it proper. But, that being said, if you plan to beat up on the thing and have it for hard bushcraft (batoning and prying), a full tang wouldn't hurt. I don't have any EGKH blades to speak to. All of mine are Himalayan Imports or more recently, Kailash Blades and only one is full tang and I prefer rat tails myself. The bigger issue I see with traditional khukuri is making sure the spine thickness and edge geometry is right, along with consistent heat treat. Give Kailash a look if you haven't already.
When you put it in the sheath, push downward towards the khukuri edge, and it should lock it in. It's a Nepal thing. Take care, brother, and stay safe out there.
that is awesome dude! Make sure to get one with the flare out end! It really does help with the massive weight! It wants to fly out your hand without it!
@@torgomax if you are using it on green wood ( for chopping) you will be ok. I smacked that really awnry seasoned maple there and it did not come loose. Wood is always a liability when it comes to abuse. Batoning you will be fine! Handles can always be repaired, it’s the blade you can’t replace, and with this thing you will have no worries about the blade!
You don’t really need a full tang. There are plenty of rat tail tang khukuris that are over a hundred years old that were used in wars that still have tight handles.
I would agree that most Americans believe they need a full tang for it to be considered “quality” . Our Famous Kabars are stick tangs and they are very durable
That rice paper is edible lol. Nice blades bud. Thanks for being there for us.
Hey Bruce! Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for more awesome knife videos!

@@gustifer0311 The only thing that worries Me is that the wooden Handel might crack under heavy use.. What do you think?
