Equal fighters, and that is final. I grew up with Mario and switched to Sonic. I know alot about them. they r pretty much equal, no doubt about it.

I can honostly say that Mario is my favorite character ever and i think he is better than sonic but it is unfair to compare them. Their individual style of gameplay is COMPLETELY different. Sonic is about speeding thru a lvl. Mario is about exploring a lvl, solving puzzles, and getting the full experience out of each lvl. Mario's moves are based off of power ups except for the jump, punch & kick, groundpound and spin jump, thats just the way it is.

This is iggystoneman400's 2nd channel in reply to shadowwolf149. I agree that sonic and Mario should be friends, but Mario wouldn't just sit there, he would do something. When sonic goes super, Mario would either use his final smash and/or his starman power. If you think he is cheap doing this its just what he does, same with Sonic's final smash. In my opinion, sonic would kill luigi, Mario would sonic, and shadow would kill Mario, and vegeta would kill shadow. Sonic saves the animals, which is nice, and you guys think that Mario is just saving the princess because he is greedy, but the reason that bowser kidnapps peach is because she is the source of good. If taken away from her castle too long, sonic and Mario would turn evil.

Oh sure, Dr. Robotnik had various great creations, but if you wanna go about abilities, he falls short compared to Bowser, who is capable of many feats such as sorcery as he was able to disguise his minions as clones of himself when he debuted. He was even capable of messin' around with galaxies.
Dr. Robotnik builds his armies, but Bowser commands various races that make up his entire legions
While Ike's my best fighter overall, I don't think he's the best. It's how you play the character that determines your skill, not the other way around.
However, I am saying Mario is a better fighter than Sonic, but that ultimately depends on your overall skill level
I'd have to disagree with you on a couple things. I outsmart level 9 computers almost all the time, so I never really seen how awesome they are until watching computers go head-to-head. I also disagree that the computers are unimpressive watching them like this... this video is pretty impressive! I mean I can beat LV 9 CPUs like nothing, but if I had some of their intuition on attacking choices, I'd be a lot better than I am.
I never said he didn't have any weaknesses. He just doesn't have an serious weaknesses.
Overall, Mario's strength differs on the skill of the player who uses him because he has all the basic stuff that a character and then some

It's a Nintendo game, of course they aren't gonna let their rival character win in a CPU fight! Every single Mario vs Sonic death battle it's always Sonic who gets all the wins so Mario deserves to win more than Sonic does.

Smash Bros is very good, but to determine a winner is irrelevant. Sonic is faster than here, as the same as Mario and his games' characters (Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, Wario, DK, Diddy Kong). Mario is much faster, jumps higher and stronger than in Smash Bros.
Mario also can move faster than sound, it has been seen sometimes, Sonic can move faster than sound, but not ever, most of the times he doesn't move at that speed, or at least it isn't seen.
This was a pretty good fight though

Not much dood, and one of the Shinobi games I was referrin' to was the PS2 Shinobi game. But tell you the truth really, I haven't really heard or seen any good Sega games that interest me lately that isn't Sonic-related. Oh sure, there's Virtua Fighter, but then again, I've never played the series nor cared much about it XP
Epic fight. I think that had Sonic been around as long as Mario in SSB, he would have had a wee bit more strategy and the upper hand due to speed, but still, a loss is a loss.

It is only a matter of preference of whom you're better with. That does not determines who is better than who overall.
Sonic's Final Smash can be avoided completely with good timing.
With Mario however, you can get most enemies knocked out by just jumping in the air and then simply let loose from there.
Thats why he's fast. So you can rack up quick damage then off them with his side smash.

If you wanna go about Shadow and Wario, then Wario has my vote. Don't get me wrong, Shadow is my favorite character in the Sonic series, but even time-altering abilities sorta fall short compared to what Wario could do. Yes, Wario appears heavier than Mario, but once again, you judge a book by its cover. Wario possesses cunning and is a man of many talents. In a game released only in Japan, Wario was able to manipulate Mario's actions in some instances and also reality warping powers

I'm one of those people. This game is so over-rated. It is still my favourite game but there are so many inexcusable flaws. A brief excerpt: tripping for no reason, pity smashes given to people losing in 2nd-4th place, no music from Starfox Adventures, no Port Town music on Port Town, no Krystal, the Smokeball, anti-human computers, computers knock away human items easily while it takes a legion of attacks to rid of their weapons, not enough things in Custom stage. Need I say more?

cant we alll agree that there both awsome personally i like Sonic better buts i grew up playing his games and after Sonic Adventure 2 Battle i've been a fan ever since but mario has amazing games that i love. So all this debating between each other isnt necessary and we should just all agree that they are awesome and shaped the world of gaming

I once faced 3 levels 9 marios and on my friends copy they team you even when they aren't on teams and i managed to beat them all after a few tries,but when i put them on teams i got wrecked(i managed to eliminate 1). And then after that it became easy facing level 9 without using my best characters(link,kirby,sonic,mario,luigi, and Game and Watch)

I havven't played just Sonic games, dood.
I've played some of the Shinobi games, Vectorman, which was a favorite of mine, Mortal Kombat I and II, Virtua Cop, Golden Axe and Altered Beast
also, eggman is not the only human sonic has fought, he has also fought the military, G.U.N. in several of the games. sonic saved the world about how many times? he saved it so many times i cant remember, all mario ever did was rescue peach from some perverted turtle.
