- Lying to and insulting your friends and their bikes is obviously not a good idea, but it's something we all do sometimes, even unintentionally. That's why Rich and Blake decided to create a video showing you the worst things you can say to a mountain biker. By watching the video, you'll learn what to avoid saying to your friends when you're out on the trail. @@zedddddful same here..nearest mtb trail is 10 km away. But I cheat most of times; on the way there I most times have my boyfriend bring me and the bike halfway by car, sometimes even closer ( then it's about only 2 km left for me to get there, else it's about 5,5 km's left), so I don't have to go by road so many km's. The way home I always bike the full length, but 9 out of 10 times I got wind in the back, so the way home is not so bad.

Yep. It's scientifically proven that it's always the last ride that fudges ppl up. Guaranteed. Lads, never do the last run and you'll be way safer.

After a crash, in French we say : "C'est le métier qui rentre", that one may translate to : "Chalk it up to experience!" 😩
12 year olds are quick because the bikes they have, as well as the pro skill progression and access to "how to" videos are at the l such a higher level than we had in the 90s. Don't get me wrong talent is talent but set up one of these kids on an mtb from 99 and they'll complain about how horrible it is

Gears: ACTUALLY, we have with 1x12 less than half, as the peak of gears, 3x11... And our shortest gear ratio is longer too.😅
This must be a British MTB thing... I've never heard that. But if you wan't to pedal and climb back 3000 feet up into the night, then do it.

As for 'too many gears' - I say that to myself. Who really needs a 53 sprocket??
One more run made me quit MTB after a bad crash that initially seemed nothing.
2 years after that crash, still can't fully use my arm and I'm now lacking power on left arm

@Alan-75 I would say, "Yeah, but I don't have to pay for gas, insurance and registration." They're killers out here in CA, and the reason why I'll probably never be able to own a car. I can get to all the same places w/a bike....it just takes me a bit longer.

I actually had a friend laugh at me once because my rear shock was squeaking. A year later he bought a Giant Glory, but instead of not sayng what i didn't like i told him, and the biggest thing that bothered me about it was that the paintjob looked like something straight off a walmart bike. He was really pissed after that XD. It still is the best bike i have ever ridden tho
I actually hate people who think "one last run" curses you. It's tiring whenever you say to the people you met on the trails, that's it's one last run for you and they all go crazy as if I called their mother a hoe.
No mate, It's my last run, because I need to go back to hotel, get my stuff and make a 25 km ride to the train station so I can go home thats 200km away and I want to do it before midnight so I can get some rest before waking up at 6am to go to work.
