Hi Michelle, I have said it many times but I believe you offer the best coaching advice in UA-cam. I find if I’m super inconsistent it’s usually because I haven’t been practicing! You can’t get good at anything without practice. I have also invested in shots scope which offers myriad types of feedback and areas fro improvement. Michele, I live in California near Sacramento. Yesterday I was practicing putting and was talking with a lady who was setting up a practice area for the junior golfers. She told me she is from Malaysia, I told her that I’ve been watching Michele Low on UA-cam. She said she used to play against you years ago, she had nothing but nice things to say about you. I am a high handicap, I remembered the good shots where each shot came out exactly as I planned it. I feel good when I can walk off the course with 1 or 2 par, plus a few good approach shots. THEN.. I practice more on where I didn't do well. ie. Driver off the tee, 75 to 50 yards approach shots and putts. Practice is work..... play is for fun. Nicely said Michele... "Enjoy the GAME when you are on the course".

Playing golf is fun! Except for taking manual stats, which is why I always intend to do so, but admittedly never do.
Maybe I'm over thinking it and next time can try just tracking fairways hit and number of putts since I can put that on empty lines if I take a scorecard for myself.

For me is really "all" about flexibility.... the change of how i END the swing = lil stiffness in my back... neck... shoulder.... even around the knees causes so many errors/problems to finish my swing freely. Golf is a game of million micro errors coming together as one big one = 1cm off at setup OR less turn back/finish CAN cause draws/fades or even thin/thick hits.... so for me to feel more like "myself" in my swing is about staying fresh and flexible around ALL areas that make any twist or turn ;))))) Love ur videos as always .... such great reminder of things... wake up calls ;)

I am just having trouble avoiding a big number, usually in the first few holes. I think it’s due to the (not so ideal) Spring conditions (chilly, windy, wet, grass not fully grown in yet, or mowed).
For example, yesterday carded a 9 on the 5th hole, a tight par-5. Two GREAT shots, middle of fairway, then my 9-iron took a bad bounce into the bunker. Wet sand, left it in the bunker. Then soft sand over the green. Thick rough, left chip short. 3-putt! 😩 Argh! Parred last three holes of front-9, but the damage was done.
Looking forward to June. Always do our best scoring in June & July. Courses are finally getting in mid-season form. Now I need to. 🙄

My friends are better and they complain that their scores range from 95 to 105. The best player in my group is unhappy every time his score hits 86-88 because he usually scores around 80.

Darren Clarke once shared something to the effect that you get about 10% improvement for the effort you put into practice. The point is golf is a challenging, stingy game, so don't let it beat you up. If you can find ways to practice effectively at home on a consistent basis, it will pay dividends, especially if it's during the "off" season when you're not playing.
