Some Long Distance Routes like Lake Shore, Sunset Limited, Texas Eagle, Southwest Chief were still remain with Genesis P42DC, and soon in the next few months or years, they’ll soon receive ALC-42 Chargers, as well as soon for Auto Train

The 2 Metroliner cabs coupled facing says it all about why the diaphragms should never have been removed and the cab ends plated over.
Did some people fall out?
@StefanWithTrains no it doesn't allow people to pass between cars when coupled mid consist.
