I could go somewhere else or read up on it, but I think it'd be cool content and you could mix it up with Sox players stats. Thanks bro. Great video and the trade looks 🔥
Not speaking for Corbin, but his channel mainly focuses on breaking Red Sox news since most of his audience already knows the basics of baseball stats. I feel like the Twins would want more than this in a trade. I'm ok with the Kutter, Hamilton deal but I really feel you could have the same upside potential with Buehler on a 3 year deal and that only costs money to bring in.
@ you are absolutely right. Seen too many shows where the lead makes it seem like a trade has been made and then what follows is pure fantasy. Let’s wait and just see if they finally do something. I’m growing more skeptical by the day.
@@nbeutler1134 funny because that is probably the biggest part of an argument against Nolan Ryan. They always point out him barely having more wins than losses. The only other than that is his walks total. Ok now if pitchers today would come close to completing every game for 27 years I wonder where the totals would be.
i love it. would love to have pablo. i do think given price of SPs this offseason, the package could even be Kutter + Wilyer. Would be an overpay but frankly I’d take it. Could then focus free agent $$ on Teoscar plus bullpen and not worry about paying a FA SP.
I said a month ago they should be looking at the twins. Correa and Lopez. Both have 20-30m contracts. Twins lost their RSN. Ownership is trying to sell. Owners tend to look to get off of long term deals in lead up to selling the team. It kind of perfectly lines up. Wonder if Kutter/Abreu/Hamilton and a bullpen piece or prospect in the upper minors gets both of them. Then you can move Grissom or Campbell to the OF and your lineup gets balanced pretty quickly.
Pablo would be really great. I think we’d have to overpay on paper to get him. Sending Wilyer would be ideal to make room. Hopefully keep the new big 3 intact. He’d be great in our rotation.
I was lukewarm on Lopez when I first heard about this idea, but you convinced me of his value. Since I see the Sox's true window for contention to be 2026-2030, I prefer someone with a higher ceiling over that period. But given that that's likely not available, this sound solid.
I truly love this idea of getting Pablo Lopez to Boston however, I have a feeling that the Twins are going to want a bigger return then the players you mentioned.
I like Lopez. His era last year was in the same ball park as Pivetta. When you look at the whole story though I think he's a better pitcher than Pivetta. That would work for me. 28 years of age is good. I prefer to keep Richard Fitts in Boston. If Minnesota wants to relieve some salary it might work. I would definitely not send any of our big 3 over there. I bet Minnesota would try and pry loose one of the big 3. Just saying.
In your wish list hierarchy you left off Jared Jones… if you could get either Lopez or Jones but not both which would you choose? I am assuming Jones but the cost to get him is higher which may change your decision. The Red Sox could reduce the cost a little by agreeing to take the Christian Vazquez contract in a Lopez deal which is one year at $10 million. The Twins are on record as wanting to reduce payroll. I know Vazquez’s bat has dropped off but looking at his savant page he is still an above average receiver in terms of blocking, and framing. Could help a young pitching staff and allow Narvaez to develop at Worcester. I feel the Sox need more depth at catcher.
Crawford gave us 180 innings 175 strikeouts and is far cheaper than Lopez. Lopez is better no question but it’s always the money with our front office.. . I think they like the direction Kutter is going not sure they would trade him. Just don’t know about this trade…great video though
Refsnyder fits in the lefty vs righty strategy.. that Cora prefers.. which I am in favor. One question is.. Is Crawfords' ceiling higher than this guy ( Lopez ) from the Twins' ? I am not trading Abreu.
Crawford and Hamilton seem like a fair trade. I really like Hamilton, fastest guy in the league, but Story and Mayer will play shortstop and Campbell and Grissom will play 2B. Romy in reserve.

I would be fine with a trade for Lopez but i DON'T want to see Fitts in a trade package, not keen on Hamilton or Abreu headed to Minnesota in a package either. I'd be ok with Crawford and some prospects headed north for Lopez......
Pablo Lopez definitely fits the profile the Red Sox should be ultimately looking for in bolstering their starting rotation ... A decent young arm with contractual team control over the next three seasons ... However, I'd hate to see Craig Breslow having to part with young arms in return ... I would prefer seeing another "four for one" type package deal as was needed in landing Garrett Crochet ... The Red Sox currently have a surplus of very promising young prospects along with Wilyer Abreu and David Hamilton to potentially get this trade accomplished ...
I agree the Red Sox need pitchers who can go deep into games. I am not sure why everyone is hating on Kutter Crawford. The first couple months in 2024 he was great. I am not against moving any names you listed. The Red Sox need to move a couple men off the 40 man roster. Sandal needs to go on it before he can be transferred to the 60 man Roster. So this trade makes a lot of sense.
Sox still dont have a #1 pitcher. Crochet is nice but to make him a #1 like Chris Sale was, I really don't see it. Sox grasping for straws at this point.
How many guys does Crochet have to strike out for you to be impressed? He put up video game K numbers last year and his FIP was a sterling 2.89. If he's healthy, he's an ace.
Crochet has demonstrated legitimate number one status. Don't make every number into a top 5 MLB pitcher. There is usually 20-25 number 1 starters in the MLB.

Then you may have not watched an inning of Red Sox baseball this year. And for that matter you probably had no idea what Goldy looked like this year either if you think he is the reason the Yankees are so much better than the Red Sox
On a few of your live shows, when Lopez was still on the Marlins, I talked about Pablo multiple times as a “dream trade” acquisition. Love this possibility still!
I doubt this trade will happen. Here's what I think the Red Sox are thinking. The additions of Campbell, Anthony (at some point) and healthy seasons from Story and Grissom are likely better than signing anyone from the thirty-something brigade - Bregman, Teo, Santander - to big contracts just so they can say they are more right-handed, and effectively balance out the lineup R/L. Offensively, the talent is in-house. And now that we have Crochet, I don't want to trade Abreu. All we do is complain about how bad the Sox defense is, and then we get a guy who wins a Gold Glove and we're like "Trade him." No! Let's keep him in right and let Anthony polish his game in AAA. If they both have good seasons and there's no room for Anthony in 2025, that's the proverbial "nice problem to have." There will be injuries and it's nice to have quality depth in AAA with Anthony and Mayer. I think Campbell breaks camp with Boston as the starting CF and has a Jackson Merrill type rookie season. Forget 2B for Campbell. I don't want this explosive a player limited to 2B. I want him at a premium position. Move Ceddanne into a super sub role, sign Grichuk as insurance if Ref has a down year. I'll take my chances with that group.

What’s with all these trade proposals? Why don’t we blame the owner for not spending on the top pitching free agents . Save the prospects where we drafted and developed. What a waste of years if we now start reading them for pitchers . Spend red Sox’s
Nobody seems to want Alonso. He bats Right I think. We could sign him (8years 200M I think he will take this. He turned down 7 years 156M fr9m the mets then got no other offers) then he could play first base. Trade Casas and a mid prospect to Seattle for Luis Castillo. Then I believe we will be set.

Again with the middle of the rotation stuff when you need a proven, bona fide front of the rotation starter (like Corbin Burnes), who BTW is there for the signing. Also why is there so much talk about trading away young talent when there are free agents out there? Keep the players on the club and in the farm system and spend some money. That is how you keep your team and system strong. How does it help long term if you KEEP trading talent for talent. The key is to develop and keep talent and keep acquiring more. Not to trade one position to get another or to mortgage your future to make the playoffs now (we are not even talking about winning it all). ???
baseballtradevalues is vastly overvaluing Lopez with 48 million player value. Try more like 25-30 with his 64.5 million on his contract. The current 48 player value has Lopez 4.5 WAR per year at three years. His past performance doesn't justify that value. Abreu for 5 years for Lopez no more!

@ if you nail one, I will humbly return, apologize and be a faithful subscriber. And I mean that. I’m a Red Sox fan not a troll. I wish you well.
Don’t need your apology man. You don’t like what I make don’t watch. I know I don’t clickbait in what I do. I hope you find what you like elsewhere.
