We keep saying these players can't play. I don't agree with that. They were good before they came to the Bears. Some get better when the leave the Bears and play on other teams. It has to be the coaching. There is no way someone like Gerald Everett just forgot how to play football. This is what constantly sucks. Our coaching staff sucks so bad that good players suck when playing for the Bears.
HC: Johnson O-Line: Braxton Jones, (Will) Campbell, Ryan Kelly, Trey Smith, Wright. Kiran Swing Tackle & Shelton Swing IOL. Next players in the draft would be either TJ Sanders/Walter Nolen with an Edge rusher good against the run. My pick is Jack Sawyer. WR 3 either Keenan or Demarcus Robinson. I want to see RJ & Tyler Scott more involved overall. RJ doesn't have the speed but he can BULLY people and was good in pass pro in college. Later draft positions in no particular order: Safety (Brisker has injury history & want a young free safety after Byard), RB, TE2, LB.
I sure hope the new coach has more player of choice over Poles.. I mean, just an example.. we picked Swift over Barkley, Henry, Jacobs, etc.. and those were best RBs.. we just always go for the "cheaper" route.. i just think we never try and get THE guy at any position.. I sure hope we can at least put some effort into trying just a little harder at constructing a solid roster all around.

Based on pressure rate, he’s the 9th most pressured QB in football. How does that equate to 10 more sacks than the next guy? A 10% completion percentage vs Daniels? A generational talent shouldn’t be last among starters across the board.
Ideal scenario for me is: Hire Ben Johnson, don’t extend Keenan or Tev, extend Pryor, Shelton, Darrell Taylor, then give Trey Smith however much he wants, trade back from 9 to the mid 20s and get a second and third. draft Walter Nolen, with the three seconds take Hampton, Umanmielen, and Jake Majors. In the third, take a receiver and Membou and kick him inside. In the later rounds take a tight end and kicker. That’s four new pieces on the o line, a run stopper to work in with Dex and Billings, and one of the best pass rushers in the class opposite Sweat.
One thing I see from the Bears this season is that they don’t work on speed training in season, they look slow overall. No deep threat all year and Tyler Scott can’t get on the Field. DJ Moore Can’t get open deep either. Linebackers look slow. The Bears need a speed coach and that needs to be an emphasis this off season
@Gatf4 - D.J. Moore thrived in Justin Field's system of throwing darts and many passes on the move. DB's can't guard D.J. Moore after the initial route. He is very shifty.
@@YT-Holdings I 100% agree on shiftyness but not a deep threat to get past anyone. 100% have been questioning all season of not have a play action under center game and then also not getting Caleb on the move more often with designed boots and roll outs. nothing has made sense all year as far as offensive coaching goes.
I wouldn't mind us picking up Tyler Warren, TE from Penn State If he slips to the second round. Shades of Brock Bowers... Use all other pics on offensive line. Bring in an offensive coordinator with vast experience in running 2 Tight End packages. Warren and Kmet would be tough to deal with. Kmet is so underutilized.
My recommendation is they better do a deep dive interview with Ben Johnson. What’s his plan on his coaching staff, his plan for Caleb, his plan on building the team. Really get into the nuts and bolts. Reason being this guy is a flake. He was hot last year too and really flaked out and came up flaccid in interviews. Whereas Dan Quinn came in with a plan, a vision and a deep Rolodex that allowed him to build a pretty great staff. We Washington fans all wanted Johnson last year and were disappointed that we “settled” for a “retread” but quickly learned , as DQ put together his staff, that he was the right hire. Our owners and new GM knew what they were doing. So it’s critical that the Bears ownership and front office also do their due diligence. Yes the Detroit offense is absolutely gorgeous, but you aren’t bringing that talent with Johnson. The Head Coach needs to build a staff and have a vision and be able to lead men. I don’t think Johnson is that man. At least not based on his flake out last year.

Let’s Cast Blame where it belongs. If you blame Ryan Poles which I do let’s get it right what to blame him for. Try on a reality biscuit. Poles let his ego get in the way. As. GM he wanted a Qb he picked even though we already had a Qb. Fields Stats through 6 games 4-2. 10 Tds 5 Passing 5 Rushing 1 Turnover. That’s it one Pick that was a popup. Before u start lying about why my man is benched it’s because wait for it the Pick if he played 9 Ganes as the Starter We get a 4 th Round Pick if Less we get a 6 that’s a smart move. Even Steelers fans know Justin is better than Wilson and here’s the fact Fields is 4-2 and Wilson is 6-4. Poles should have simply traded the Pic 2 maybe three times. We could have built a Line in one Season. Instead Poles Drafted Caleb who is not an NFL Caliber starting QB. Take Coaching out of it and Look at Caleb’s actual play. He has thrown for more yards than any other Bears rookie. He has also had way more attempts so all stats should be up. Part of that is because Caleb has been terrible in the 1 st half of every game save 4. He has been shut out a league high 5 times. Caleb also has a league high Overgrown passes at 26% just over 1 in every 4 throws he misses the mark that is astoundingly bad. He has taken the most Sacks in the League so fools will blame the OLine. But if you watch the film the Oline gets 1/3 of the blame for some sacks Caleb gets 1/3 for holding onto the ball he is refusing to hit the check down or intermediate throws. Caleb gets one third of the blame for calling the wrong protections as he can’t read the defense right. This makes it look like the line missed a block but it’s not you can hear him audible the play and the line players are confused. This also is why we have one of the highest delay of Gane stats in the league. Most of you idiots and sycophants will try to say well he only has 6 INTs. Yep with 9 fumbles for 15 turnovers which is about 1 per game. You will never win that way. In the Second Half late in the 4 th Quarter Caleb’s stats go up but that’s because most of the games are already over. The teams are either playing prevent defense and let him hit underneath stuff or they have 6 players injured say in the first Lions Game. lmao. When it’s over he is a killer but when it matters he is terrible. So step one Bench him and sign a free agent.

And therein lies the problem with Sweat. You said it, he's not a blue chip player, but Poles paid him like one. He dropped off massively after getting paid.

We keep saying these players can't play. I don't agree with that. They were good before they came to the Bears. Some get better when the leave the Bears and play on other teams. It has to be the coaching. There is no way someone like Gerald Everett just forgot how to play football. This is what constantly sucks. Our coaching staff sucks so bad that good players suck when playing for the Bears.

I want to see RJ & Tyler Scott more involved overall. RJ doesn't have the speed but he can BULLY people and was good in pass pro in college.

I sure hope the new coach has more player of choice over Poles.. I mean, just an example.. we picked Swift over Barkley, Henry, Jacobs, etc.. and those were best RBs.. we just always go for the "cheaper" route.. i just think we never try and get THE guy at any position.. I sure hope we can at least put some effort into trying just a little harder at constructing a solid roster all around.

Harry, what’s the excuse for these numbers? Based on pressure rate, he’s the 9th most pressured QB in football. How does that equate to 10 more sacks than the next guy? A 10% completion percentage vs Daniels? A generational talent shouldn’t be last among starters across the board.
Ideal scenario for me is: Hire Ben Johnson, don’t extend Keenan or Tev, extend Pryor, Shelton, Darrell Taylor, then give Trey Smith however much he wants, trade back from 9 to the mid 20s and get a second and third. draft Walter Nolen, with the three seconds take Hampton, Umanmielen, and Jake Majors. In the third, take a receiver and Membou and kick him inside. In the later rounds take a tight end and kicker. That’s four new pieces on the o line, a run stopper to work in with Dex and Billings, and one of the best pass rushers in the class opposite Sweat.
One thing I see from the Bears this season is that they don’t work on speed training in season, they look slow overall. No deep threat all year and Tyler Scott can’t get on the Field. DJ Moore Can’t get open deep either. Linebackers look slow. The Bears need a speed coach and that needs to be an emphasis this off season

@Gatf4 - D.J. Moore thrived in Justin Field's system of throwing darts and many passes on the move. DB's can't guard D.J. Moore after the initial route. He is very shifty.
@@YT-Holdings I 100% agree on shiftyness but not a deep threat to get past anyone. 100% have been questioning all season of not have a play action under center game and then also not getting Caleb on the move more often with designed boots and roll outs. nothing has made sense all year as far as offensive coaching goes.

I wouldn't mind us picking up Tyler Warren, TE from Penn State If he slips to the second round. Shades of Brock Bowers... Use all other pics on offensive line. Bring in an offensive coordinator with vast experience in running 2 Tight End packages. Warren and Kmet would be tough to deal with. Kmet is so underutilized.

My recommendation is they better do a deep dive interview with Ben Johnson. What’s his plan on his coaching staff, his plan for Caleb, his plan on building the team. Really get into the nuts and bolts.
Reason being this guy is a flake. He was hot last year too and really flaked out and came up flaccid in interviews. Whereas Dan Quinn came in with a plan, a vision and a deep Rolodex that allowed him to build a pretty great staff.
We Washington fans all wanted Johnson last year and were disappointed that we “settled” for a “retread” but quickly learned , as DQ put together his staff, that he was the right hire. Our owners and new GM knew what they were doing. So it’s critical that the Bears ownership and front office also do their due diligence.
Yes the Detroit offense is absolutely gorgeous, but you aren’t bringing that talent with Johnson. The Head Coach needs to build a staff and have a vision and be able to lead men. I don’t think Johnson is that man. At least not based on his flake out last year.

Let’s Cast Blame where it belongs. If you blame Ryan Poles which I do let’s get it right what to blame him for. Try on a reality biscuit. Poles let his ego get in the way. As. GM he wanted a Qb he picked even though we already had a Qb. Fields Stats through 6 games 4-2. 10 Tds 5 Passing 5 Rushing 1 Turnover. That’s it one Pick that was a popup. Before u start lying about why my man is benched it’s because wait for it the Pick if he played 9 Ganes as the Starter We get a 4 th Round Pick if Less we get a 6 that’s a smart move. Even Steelers fans know Justin is better than Wilson and here’s the fact Fields is 4-2 and Wilson is 6-4. Poles should have simply traded the Pic 2 maybe three times. We could have built a Line in one Season. Instead Poles Drafted Caleb who is not an NFL Caliber starting QB. Take Coaching out of it and Look at Caleb’s actual play. He has thrown for more yards than any other Bears rookie. He has also had way more attempts so all stats should be up. Part of that is because Caleb has been terrible in the 1 st half of every game save 4. He has been shut out a league high 5 times. Caleb also has a league high Overgrown passes at 26% just over 1 in every 4 throws he misses the mark that is astoundingly bad. He has taken the most Sacks in the League so fools will blame the OLine. But if you watch the film the Oline gets 1/3 of the blame for some sacks Caleb gets 1/3 for holding onto the ball he is refusing to hit the check down or intermediate throws. Caleb gets one third of the blame for calling the wrong protections as he can’t read the defense right. This makes it look like the line missed a block but it’s not you can hear him audible the play and the line players are confused. This also is why we have one of the highest delay of Gane stats in the league. Most of you idiots and sycophants will try to say well he only has 6 INTs. Yep with 9 fumbles for 15 turnovers which is about 1 per game. You will never win that way. In the Second Half late in the 4 th Quarter Caleb’s stats go up but that’s because most of the games are already over. The teams are either playing prevent defense and let him hit underneath stuff or they have 6 players injured say in the first Lions Game. lmao. When it’s over he is a killer but when it matters he is terrible. So step one Bench him and sign a free agent.
