As a Jets fan since 1963, I can say the Jets team has many more problems than the ones you alluded to. The Jets let two key defensive line starters for 2023 go and can no longer stop the run. Ahmad Gardner has developed an aversion to tackling. The Jets have only 5 interceptions all season. That's right, 5! The defense has blown leads in the 4th quarter 7 times, including to Jacoby Brissett and Anthony Richardson. Haason Reddick has half a sack. That's right, 0.5 sacks! Will McDonald has only two sacks since October 21. The biggest problem, however, is with ownership. Woody Johnson is impulsive and makes football decisions based on his "business experience." David Tepper has been rightly criticized for the same tactic. Johnson's sons treat an NFL team like it is a fantasy football team. Johnson overruled the GM Joe Douglas based in part on advice from non-football people who he trusts to advise him on football moves. Johnson took credit for the strength of the roster yet does not publicly accept responsibility for the team's woeful performance.

Also saleh was reportedly going to fire hackett before getting back to NY but then he instead got fired by woody; there were some rumors that woody’s son was listening to people on reddit about how bad saleh was.

@ he def wasnt the best but far from the problem. He did have issues tho with holding his staff accountable, most importantly the offensive staff. By the end of the season it was very apparent that hackett had no clue how to run the offense with wilson under center. So much so other players were complaining about the lack of preparation. But saleh kept him for this year and for me i felt that was a huge problem, showing how much power arod had in our organization. If saleh wants to be a good head coach in the league he needs to hold his players in check and his staff accountable for basic stuff like game preparation. That being said, having saleh did provide stability for the team, without him we completely fall apart.

It’s absolutely Aaron Rodgers fault. It’s also Joe Douglas fault. It’s Rodgers fault for being Aaron Rodgers. And it’s Joe Douglas fault for giving up on Sam Darnold and not giving him an adequate coaching staff to develop him. I’m more forgiving of Douglas because it’s likely Uncle Woody influenced many of his personnel decisions. Had the Jets properly developed Darnold, drafted Sewell, and hired a HC in the Shanahan/McVey/LaFleur mold, or even Sean Payton. To quote Marlon Brando, “they could have been a contender.”
The difference between Rodger’s and Brady is that Brady cared about the team, taking lower salary than the other qbs to get better talent. Rodger’s just wanted stuff for himself, got 50 million a year, got the head coach Salah fired, got Devante Adams. Won 4 mvp’s but only 1 Super Bowl. And is now 4-12 with the jets

Many teammates that have played with Aaron love him. Aaron truly loves playing football, so he does not want to retire. Warren Moon lasted well into his forties. It is difficult to tarnish his name with play this year. Statistically, it is not such a bad year. The expectations were high.

As a Jets fan since 1963, I can say the Jets team has many more problems than the ones you alluded to. The Jets let two key defensive line starters for 2023 go and can no longer stop the run. Ahmad Gardner has developed an aversion to tackling. The Jets have only 5 interceptions all season. That's right, 5! The defense has blown leads in the 4th quarter 7 times, including to Jacoby Brissett and Anthony Richardson. Haason Reddick has half a sack. That's right, 0.5 sacks! Will McDonald has only two sacks since October 21.
The biggest problem, however, is with ownership. Woody Johnson is impulsive and makes football decisions based on his "business experience." David Tepper has been rightly criticized for the same tactic. Johnson's sons treat an NFL team like it is a fantasy football team. Johnson overruled the GM Joe Douglas based in part on advice from non-football people who he trusts to advise him on football moves. Johnson took credit for the strength of the roster yet does not publicly accept responsibility for the team's woeful performance.
Correction, after the Vikings game saleh was fired even though aaron threw three picks including a pick 6. Also saleh was reportedly going to fire hackett before getting back to NY but then he instead got fired by woody; there were some rumors that woody’s son was listening to people on reddit about how bad saleh was.
And whoever got Salaeh fired Johnson's son and Rodgers, now if they have any brains know Salaeh wasn't the problem they only need to look in the Mirror to know the answer of why their failure Of a season happened...

@ he def wasnt the best but far from the problem. He did have issues tho with holding his staff accountable, most importantly the offensive staff. By the end of the season it was very apparent that hackett had no clue how to run the offense with wilson under center. So much so other players were complaining about the lack of preparation. But saleh kept him for this year and for me i felt that was a huge problem, showing how much power arod had in our organization. If saleh wants to be a good head coach in the league he needs to hold his players in check and his staff accountable for basic stuff like game preparation. That being said, having saleh did provide stability for the team, without him we completely fall apart.

I’m more forgiving of Douglas because it’s likely Uncle Woody influenced many of his personnel decisions. Had the Jets properly developed Darnold, drafted Sewell, and hired a HC in the Shanahan/McVey/LaFleur mold, or even Sean Payton. To quote Marlon Brando, “they could have been a contender.”

Many teammates that have played with Aaron love him. Aaron truly loves playing football, so he does not want to retire. Warren Moon lasted well into his forties. It is difficult to tarnish his name with play this year. Statistically, it is not such a bad year. The expectations were high.
He is not and never will be the athlete that Warren Moon was. Moon was winning championships and MVPS in Canada long before black QBs were able to start in the NFL.
