Bro you make no sense. So you guarantee that a rookie 4th rounder will be better than the lineman we already have. We do need o linemen but think about what you saying. Every draft pick will not be a hit. We need help on d line as well. Or we don’t control time of possession and Caleb Williams will never be able to put points on the board.
@youngmindelevation1176 i fully agree with your last sentence. And honestly, I do believe some of the draft picks we could get in the draft would be better than Coleman Shelton and the rest of our interior offensive line (outside of Jenkins obviously). And that's why I said trenches because we need the help on both sides.
Carter at #11 is a stretch, but they said the same thing last year about Dallas Turner and he fell. I like this idea Nic. Really good stuff as always and great detail!
Dillon gabriel will go before abdul carter by a long shot with the new draft order. All QB needy teams are before the Bears. Theres only supposed to be 2 picked early. Sanders will go to Cleveland 💀
I’ll be shocked if Carter falls to 11. I’m hoping we move up in the draft order after this next week. We may have to draft a OT in the first and get EDGE OR DT in 2nd.
Here’s my first mock with a couple of trade backs to get more picks. 10. Nic Scourton De 37 Walter Nolen DT, 40 Wyatt Milum G, 72 Josh Conerly T, 74 Parker Brailsford C, 146 Cam Skattebo
Love the trades. Allows for more picks and addresses the same needs with top talent. Well done, I'll give you a A- on this. Not a fan of the WR pick at the end but then again you raise good points if we don't bring back Allen
Centers don't normally go in the 1st round. Left Tackle is by far the hardest position to find. I'd go LT in the 1st round or 3-tech. Center can be in the 2nd round. So LT 1st round, Gaurd/DT 2nd round, 2 picks in round 2.
👏👏 Let’s hope we get some real Offense Lineman? I say we keep the #7 pick and get the best O Lineman there is out there But again you make sense with your thoughts
We’re picking 9th. The only way we’re moving up is if a few teams above us win which unfortunately I don’t see happening but anything’s possible right? Lol
Carter is a top 5 pick, but agree with the trade back. None of the O-line prospects are worth a top ten pick, and both DL that are worth it, will likely be gone, so load up with more picks. Get the best line prospect available in the middle of first round, several will be available.
I really like this draft !!! It’s just what the Bears need for getting into the playoffs. Thanks Jay !!!!! Now let’s talk about the Bears Jersey i’ll win 😜🤗
Jake Majors played HS ball at Prosper High School in Texas my son was a Freshmen on the team when he was a Senior. Good dude and family. Was a beast in HS, played both ways. Would love the Bears to draft him. Not sure if he'd go in the 2nd round that would be a bit rich for him.
At some point Braxton Jones needs to be replaced. However, the bears need all interior lineman. 2 guards and a center. I don't agree with drafting a tackle in round 2. I like the center but they need a guard more than a tackle. If they address one of the guards in FA, they still need to draft a young guard early in this draft.
Nic great research on your picks, we have some differences but nothing in areas of need. I believe that if Caleb is the guy then we need to give him the best protection possible and for me that starts at left tackle. Your number1 Carter is a beast, watched 4 games this year, he is clearly the best player on the field in almost every game. trade back 2 spots not if the top O line left tackle. is available. Next up center. Yes, I'd be thrilled if your picks come to be. Happy New Year!
B+, o line pi cups sound good. Like the d line picks however I'd address int d line first and I'd pick a receiver a little sooner since Allen my walk in off season.
Booker never was. I never saw what all the buzz was around Booker. Maybe a catchy name?? But for where he was drafted, that shows every team passed and passed and passed on him
I don’t hate this mock draft, would rather we kept the later picks, and maybe another trade down in the second round, and still get Majors in the later half of the second round and add another pick in the later third or early fourth range to get another LB/pass rush guy. I like the concept of this mock though.
I had heard O-line was thin in the early part of the draft so I like Carter at DE. I think both our second round picks should be O-line as long as they are not a reach. I can’t help thinking about the cliche of drafting the best available talent regardless of position though. We need depth too so that philosophy is still the right approach.
You are very thorough and do your homework/research as always. There's not much dispute about needing to draft for the offensive and defensive lines plus looking to bolster the same through free agency. The Bears haven't ben able to convert enough on 2nd/3rd/4th and short. So, if the back from West Virginia is better than Roshon Johnson, maybe we should draft him. Or is Roshon okay, and it's just that the O line is so bad?
I love how all of these guys complain about the O line and go with a defensive player with the first pick lol We need Will Campbell with our first pick!
Agree with an Edge in the 1st RD, Pearce Jr. or Jalon Walker. DT with first 2nd RD pick. Bears need to look at Xavier Watts if he's available in the 2nd RD and address OL in free agency. Brisker's health and Byard's age makes it a need and Watts is a playmaker. An O-Line full of rookies isn't going to help anything. Use later rounds for O-line depth.
Yes all 4 first picks better go to the lines. Depending on what free agents they sign. Don’t sign a backup linemen to start. Go spend top dollar on veterans. Poles has basically done nothing in the trenches.
Mock looks solid, trades sound good, if they would work out. Why not try Stevenson as a safety , Smith at CB if Brisker has issues next season? They NEED to get this draft and FA right, along with the HC, tired of rinse and repeat every 3rd year
Let's see if Jake majors can play against Arizona. He went down with a knee injury. I like princely from Ole Miss more. Bigger DE and we need some big DTs more than a OT. Also this guard class is better than OT imo. Love the ideas and the trade back for sure!
Depends on what's available. If supreme talent is available at linebacker and running back, and the available lineman are bullshit, I'm getting the Dick Butkus or Brian Urlacher today, and deferring the defensive tackle pic till next year. Same thing with the offensive line... If I've got a Walter Payton or a Larry zonka type back in the first or second round available, a generational running back talent, but the offensive lineman available suck, I'm getting the running back that can make his own hole or get his yards without the probowl front and take that pressure off my quarterback today. The bears offensive line is probably good enough with proper coaching to make do. Borom is 6'5", 325 lbs,... All he needs is proper coaching and conditioning and he could be a probowler. But he needs some serious work. The Bears would be far better off investing in high quality coaches and bringing in some scheme designers to fix their current problems. They've got the athleticism to compete with anyone already. The Patriots of the Superbowl era, had a guy in the back room, who designed and analyzed plays. He worked with the coaching staff and made the difference between Superbowl champions and 8-8 seasons. The Bears are evidently not being properly conditioned to remain healthy. This must change or they are doomed to mediocrity, regardless of coaching and talent.
So I did a draft with no trades. I came up with: Mason Graham DL Tyler Booker IOL Landon Jackson Edge Jake Majors C Sebastian Castro S Bhayshul Tuten RB Jimmy Horn Jr. WR Tonya Hemingway DL I’d rather get RB Cameron Skattebo
They need 2 guards rather than center or tackle...even if you sign one in FA...I doubt you can trade a late 6th and 2 7th round picks and get a 5th round pick (145). Even the Bears would not do that.
Jake Majors is awesome! Carter won’t fall to 11th. Also, your GM has been bad with early picks the last two drafts. Velus Jones (71) cut. Stevenson (56) ruined season and Flus wanted to cut him. Pickens (64) healthy inactives. The Jones one actually isn’t that bad because the rest of players have contributed from 2022. 2023 it looks like most of them have failed. 2024 71 Kiran instead of 85 Puni and 4th round punter over RB Bucky Irving 😢
Like this video if you want the Bears to go all-in on addressing the trenches, along with commenting who you want and your thoughts of this mock!
Happy holidays 🥳
Bear Down 🐻! We need wrecking balls and road graders out of this year's draft. I'd rather grab a proven center in free agency.
Carter
Deone Walker. 6'6" 330 and hasn't hit the gym yet!!!! 👀
I'm in China, following the Bears to keep my spirits up while working a demanding job. You're the best of the UA-cam commentators, thanks!
Thank you for your support and hope you have a great New Year!
I will be SOO disappointed if the Bears don't address the trenches with AT LEAST 75% of their 1-4 round picks
Agreed
That's why fire Poles now!!

And that's why I said trenches because we need the help on both sides.
@youngmindelevation1176there are certain picks that are almost 100% hit. We need the OLine fixed asap.
No way Carter falls to 11
Anything can happen
They had Dallas Turner top-10 on draft night and he went mid-1st.
@@TonyS-g3zTurner fell because of the QB class, otherwise he would've been top 5.
That's all right, take an OT instead.
He will be gone in the first six.
Carter at #11 is a stretch, but they said the same thing last year about Dallas Turner and he fell. I like this idea Nic. Really good stuff as always and great detail!
My thoughts exactly
Dillon gabriel will go before abdul carter by a long shot with the new draft order. All QB needy teams are before the Bears. Theres only supposed to be 2 picked early. Sanders will go to Cleveland 💀
@@alexgeidl9139no way. Gabriel is overrated.
Turner wasn’t the clear cut favorite at edge like Carter. No way he goes at 11. But we can dream
If Graham is there at 7, I ain't moving
Big fan of the 2nd round picks, and like the idea of addressing RG in FA as your video a few days ago shows there's a ton out there!
I’ll be shocked if Carter falls to 11. I’m hoping we move up in the draft order after this next week. We may have to draft a OT in the first and get EDGE OR DT in 2nd.
One can hope. Dallas Turner falling gives me that hope
Here’s my first mock with a couple of trade backs to get more picks.
10. Nic Scourton De 37 Walter Nolen DT, 40 Wyatt Milum G, 72 Josh Conerly T, 74 Parker Brailsford C, 146 Cam Skattebo
Good point on the ASU RB he is tough
I like this mock
Thank you!
@JAYChi_Bears Bear Down!
Love the trades. Allows for more picks and addresses the same needs with top talent. Well done, I'll give you a A- on this. Not a fan of the WR pick at the end but then again you raise good points if we don't bring back Allen
Caleb has been sacked 67 times. I don't want to hear anything about d line until the 3rd or 4th round
Centers don't normally go in the 1st round. Left Tackle is by far the hardest position to find. I'd go LT in the 1st round or 3-tech. Center can be in the 2nd round. So LT 1st round, Gaurd/DT 2nd round, 2 picks in round 2.
Exactly
ALLLLLL TRENCHES BABY. LET'S GO!
Liked the content, looking forward to next mock draft.
👏👏 Let’s hope we get some real Offense Lineman? I say we keep the #7 pick and get the best O Lineman there is out there

Exactly. Why I drafted them early and got some in FA
We’re picking 9th. The only way we’re moving up is if a few teams above us win which unfortunately I don’t see happening but anything’s possible right? Lol
I was just going to ask, when did we get the 7th pick?
I love it Carter is a dawg
Me too!
I hope he falls to us
They need a dual threat bell cow HB in there too. Roschon sucks. Like it or not we need a bell cow HB to go with the oline upgrades.
Carter is a top 5 pick, but agree with the trade back. None of the O-line prospects are worth a top ten pick, and both DL that are worth it, will likely be gone, so load up with more picks. Get the best line prospect available in the middle of first round, several will be available.
Yes getting people for both lines in the draft. But also in free agency.
Edges are tempting but we need Mason Graham or Will Campbell with our first. We need some power and size, we get bullied too much.
I agree with your thinking
Yes, let’s hit the trenches hard!
Bear down!!!
BEAR DOWN!
I really like this draft !!! It’s just what the Bears need for getting into the playoffs. Thanks Jay !!!!! Now let’s talk about the Bears Jersey i’ll win 😜🤗
🙏🏾🙏🏾 man I hope they really take care of the trenches
Me too!
I just hope the bears get offense line help in this draft they need it or it will be the same season next year
Me too!

B+, o line pi cups sound good. Like the d line picks however I'd address int d line first and I'd pick a receiver a little sooner since Allen my walk in off season.
Thanks!
I thought they had Austin Booker, Why do we keep looking for defensive players when we need to get that offensive line together?
Austin Booker is more of a depth guy. He also got 2 top OL and said he's getting more in FA.
Booker isn't a top guy, but I see what you're saying
Right, these guys just saying things to say things, we’ve invested in the DLine plenty it should be an oline focused draft IMO
Booker never was. I never saw what all the buzz was around Booker. Maybe a catchy name?? But for where he was drafted, that shows every team passed and passed and passed on him
supporting from Germany #DaBears
I don’t hate this mock draft, would rather we kept the later picks, and maybe another trade down in the second round, and still get Majors in the later half of the second round and add another pick in the later third or early fourth range to get another LB/pass rush guy. Love you picks! Hope Poles feels the same way about the draft etc.
Thank you! Happy New Year!
All trenches and one DE. Maybe a safety. They have basically done nothing for the O line in a few years.
Agreed
Great breakdown, Nic. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Styles would be sick. We need a big safety again!
I had heard O-line was thin in the early part of the draft so I like Carter at DE. I think both our second round picks should be O-line as long as they are not a reach. I can’t help thinking about the cliche of drafting the best available talent regardless of position though. We need depth too so that philosophy is still the right approach.

big hopes for 2025. go bears

Thanks for the comment! I think the O-line is just really bad
I like the aspect of going to offense but I think we need to address the guard issues
Would address that in FA
Love the picks u made
Thank you!
I wouldn't care if Braxton Jones was in a hyperbolic chamber he's a backup at best
I agree, but I am called crazy for saying he's not a top guy
If Carter is there at 11 it’s a. Brainer you can still get a center guard or tackle with your other picks
Hey buddy, I love the show, but that's a lot of good information.I didn't know major's hasn't allowed a sack all year. That's incredible
Thanks for tuning in!
Don't think Carter makes it that far but I like it
We need a stuf MLB also. Maybe adress it in fa but its becoming a need for 3rd or 4th
Fair
I love how all of these guys complain about the O line and go with a defensive player with the first pick lol We need Will Campbell with our first pick!
Would he play LT or OG?
@ LT and sign Braxton jones as a backup to a team friendly deal for depth. Braxton can’t handle a bull rush but he’s still serviceable.
Good points, agree with Watts.
Yes all 4 first picks better go to the lines. Depending on what free agents they sign. Don’t sign a backup linemen to start. Go spend top dollar on veterans. Poles has basically done nothing in the trenches.

Trenches baby
Carter is the top DE in this draft.
Like your draft
I would like either Banks or Will Campbell in the first round.
I want the Virginia tech dl had 16 sacks from Portsmouth VA 6'3 265 perfect
Your #2, #3, & #4 are good. You shit the bed on the 1st pick cause that dude is NOT available at #12
One can wish, Dallas Turner fell big time last year
Mock looks solid, trades sound good, if they would work out. Why not try Stevenson as a safety , Smith at CB if Brisker has issues next season? They NEED to get this draft and FA right, along with the HC, tired of rinse and repeat every 3rd year
Not sure Carter makes it to 11 but plan sounds great.
I hope so!
If Carter isn’t there, I’d like to see them draft will campbell. They need a good OT to protect Williams. He might not make it that far down though
Let's see if Jake majors can play against Arizona. He went down with a knee injury. I like princely from Ole Miss more. Bigger DE and we need some big DTs more than a OT. Also this guard class is better than OT imo. Love the ideas and the trade back for sure!
I would also like to see the Bears look at Nic Scourton, not sure if you could get both A. Carter and him...
Tough. Would need to not take Sonny
I read that Shemar Stewart tested well but he doesn’t have the results that others in his position have.
Connelly would be solid at Tackle
I am big on Jeanty with a first rounder. All free agency and 2nd round on is for the trenches
Mmm.....
Yes to Conerly👍👍👍👍👍
I like him a lot too!
I wouldn’t trade up, plenty of safeties and RB’s to add to our depth. A line prospect will slip too in those slots.
Best Mock I’ve seen so far!
we need all three, 1 center, 1 left tackle & Guard
Facts
Agree with comment that Carter will be long gone by 11, or by original 9.
Anything is possible

Love majors
We will be signing at least one OL free agent and either a DL or another OL. Let's us draft another useful player on day 2
Facts
So I did a draft with no trades. I came up with:
Mason Graham DL
Tyler Booker IOL
Landon Jackson Edge
Jake Majors C
Sebastian Castro S
Bhayshul Tuten RB
Jimmy Horn Jr. WR
Tonya Hemingway DL
I’d rather get RB Cameron Skattebo
I like this
Maybe U should be the next Bears GM Ryan Poles will likely used the #9 pick on a long snapper and the rest of the draft on RB's & WR's
Javon Holland is the safety we need to go after
Need to address the holes
Facts
Unrealistic, in no mock I’ve done has Carter fell to 11 and if he’s there when the bears pick and they trade down, I will be livid
I would be mad too. But it's still early and guys will flex up or down
We need Abdul carter but don’t see him falling to 11 but I see us at 7th pick so it’s possible we get him
You never know!
BEAR DOWN BABY
ALWAYS BEAR DOWN
Hopefully they get 3 new Trench guys
Agreed!
Poles will screw it up !
I hope not lol
OSU os a freak athlete but needs polish. Situational player to cover TE at first. ?!?? 👀
I would NOT trade #9 maybe others not that one
Who you taking?
Is that a Terry Bradshaw signed football?
Bears need to trade down and break the gap from 71-144. You lose competitive edge when you don’t pick once every 32 pics.
That's fair
I agree, Carter will not be there at 11. If Graham is there at 9, take him.
Very early! Draft stock falls and rises
LT with first pick
Who you picking?
Banks 1st round Booker 2nd round
If Banks is there...yes
I like it
Thanks Randal! Happy Holidays!
Better get a GM and HC first!! Retool the entire roster!
Man I would do it haha
It's hard to mock the draft without knowing what's going happen in free agency... Bear down
True!
Hey, there's a guy doing Jay videos, but cubs stuff. Is he affiliated with you in anyway
He is! That is the new page I started and I am building a team. :)
They need 2 guards rather than center or tackle...even if you sign one in FA...I doubt you can trade a late 6th and 2 7th round picks and get a 5th round pick (145). Even the Bears would not do that.
I want a bruising back
Facts
Trenches should have already been a focus NOT bargain shopping for it!!!!
I agree big time
Jake Majors is awesome! Carter won’t fall to 11th. Also, your GM has been bad with early picks the last two drafts. Velus Jones (71) cut. Stevenson (56) ruined season and Flus wanted to cut him. 2024 71 Kiran instead of 85 Puni and 4th round punter over RB Bucky Irving 😢
I bet they will pick at least one DB
Probably later
You can.
Get jake major's probably in the fourth round
You think? I see a lot of folks taking him in the 2nd
Go bears
BEAR DOWN
Trade up to get the top LT .
Reach on Majors
You can trade back and get Majors at the end of the second or early third round
