I missed you guys 😃 For those of you who are sticking around, Thank you! You are absolutely amazing, and I cant wait to post more videos! For those who are leaving, Thank you! You made me who I am, and I'm so grateful for you! I hope you go on to do amazing things!
Love to see ya back brotha. You were always my go to when I was learning Davinci and it's helped me out tremendously in my YT career so HUGE thanks for everything you've done.
I'm actually a missionary in Japan, started a UA-cam channel as a hobby, now it's turned into a little bit of a "tent making" scenario, but I definitely feel the tension between trying to balance the channel, ministry, and family. Looking forward to seeing what you got coming up next!
Oh, Wow! You have struck a cord for me. I quit my channel for multiple reasons and I've been trying to regain the confidence to start up again. Your story has inspired me greatly! Thank you so much for being vulnerable and for sharing your true experience and feelings. Think Media is one of my favourite channels! Good for you for getting in there and gaining some new experience. I'm glad that when you departed that there was no bad blood. I look forward to seeing what you come out with next. I'm a new subscriber. All the best! Janice.
What a genuine account. I'm just seeing your videos for the first time and the 18 minutes flew by, feeling like I was spending time with an old friend. Keep it up, your new path gives you so much more to share. It's clear that your struggle has come with lessons to teach others, what a gift... 🙌🙏
thank you Billy for your honesty, you are a good person. Social networks are unfortunately modern-day slavers. You also have to know how to stay free. Jim From France
Hey Billy, God bless you for your transparency! Let me encourage you by saying I watched dozens of your Da Vinci video tutorials during COVID and you helped me keep my church online through the pandemic. I’m a Pastor in Toronto and You were a rock for me during that crisis, and I am eternally grateful.
Fantastic video. Burnout is real and something I've experienced myself. Excited to see what's next for this channel. Congratulations to you and your family as well!
This is very personal for me and making me cry now. I started out watching your video tutorials for DaVinci. Those are the times when I lost my corporate job and didn't know where to get rent and food. Now, I have my own clients for video editing. I even remember seeing your job posting in OLJ from a year ago... You may not know it but there are people out there like me that you were able to help! Thank you so much and I'm glad you are back!
Probably one of your best and most useful 'tutorials' Billy.... a lot of people don't see beyond the screen and don't realize that time is our most valuable asset. This video will help a lot of people, it certainly helped me keep things in focus.... I am not a youtuber but what you shared today applies to any job or activity you do. Dude you are really young and have learnt so much in so little time, you are already rich, in knowledge and wisdom. Thank you for sharing.
You helped out so many people man, and were a part of their growth. I hope you know it. Youll find your balance for sure. Thanks for sharing a little bit of yourself, makes it even more important.
impressing story billy, wish you good luck and much success for the future, you deserve it & your tutorials helped me to grow with davinci resolve, so thanks for this journey, I will support you and your videos in the future🎥✌
Man good to see you back! I saw the way you grew from less than 1k to over 150k 😁 I'm glad to hear that even though a lot of negative things happened to you there's a new chapter in your life with you wife and baby so congratulations on that. I really hope you keep growing and achieving all of your goals.
I have watched a ton of your videos and never subbed. I almost didn't watch this either because I'm busy... busy for the exact reasons you discuss being burnt out and drowned in stuff. Your story is shockingly similar to mine in a lot of ways, aside from the fact that I haven't become numb to what I'm doing and I've mostly just continued to branch out and chase the topics and ideas that fascinate me to stay inspired. However I do have all the "lack of processes, no procedures, no systems, etc" which I've been slowly fighting to build for the past year with a team of 6 people. This video made me sub though. Will be paying closer attention now and I think the pivot you have made is smart and valuable. Hats off, wish you luck.
Thank you so much for this video. I had tears in my eyes and could relate so much. Im not at 150k, just recently crossed 10k on this channel. But in the UA-cam and Online Business Game since 2015. Always Pay-check to Pay-check. 2020 all my income from my first Travel Business stopped…. 5 years of grind. And i guess where the tears came… is when you mentioned you did not have friends. Just employees. I travel now since 2015. Always hustle… And this constant feeling of no meaning inside of me… but somewhere has to come the money to eat food. I totally relate. Cheers Daniel ❤
Thank you for sharing. You are very young and able to be so honest about these personal things, which is something some of us wait until our late 40s to lower our ego enough to do. I appreciate that. It is good to see @JasonYadlovski and @CasayFaris supporting you here. All three of you have been very helpful to me. Thank you and God bless.
Hey Billy, Thank you for all you are doing, I'm a fellow video editor and youth pastor. I really thank you for your tutorials. they helped me a lot. God Bless
it's been awhile since I watched a video from beginning to end. I've studied and watched a lot of your Davinci tutorials and have found them very helpful in my progression. I'm stoked for you and where you are today. Never knew that you were working for a company that was created from my hometown and I've followed for years as well. I'm excited to see what you're bringing to the table. Being a videographer and editor there are things I always wanted to learn about creating a UA-cam channel and can't wait to see your content. Cheers!
glad you found your peace again homie!! can't wait for the videos to start up again!! the yt struggle bus is def real, but it's also fun! welcome back!!
Hey Billy, great to have you back! Congrats on the baby! Man, it takes a lot of courage to be so vulnerable. I've been posting on UA-cam for almost 2 years now and facing some similar issues around burnout and doing other business to support my content creation. Your Da Vinci Resolve tutorials were super helpful, so thank you! I'm excited with your new direction and am rooting for you!
An absolutely amazing story Billy! I am a mailman for my full-time job and I tried to do UA-cam in my spare time but it doesn't feel like I have any. I am married and like to spend a few hours in the evening with my wife. I get up at 5:00 a.m. to work on UA-cam for an hour to an hour and a half and then I work out for an hour before getting ready for work. I'm not good enough at DaVinci yet to do the kinds of videos that I want and even just editing seems to take a while. I'm glad I caught on to you and subscribed when I did. I love your shorts and I have a whole folder full of Da Vinci tips between you and Daniel and Casey and a few others
Still using all the resolve purchases I made! So they’re still to good use. Sorry to hear you’re burnt out. Know from experience it’s not fun. But glad to hear that you’re bouncing back and look forward to seeing your new content!
Miss you Billy. You are one of the best Davinci Resolve mentors for me. Don't push yourself too much. You and your family must come first. Greetings from Thailand ❤
Wow I feel this! Good to hear from other people who go through the same things I do. Not a subscriber but I am now. I went the route of starting a 2nd channel to try to do 100k again, and while doing it am trying to help other creators in my industry grow their channels. Thanks for this video!
I had wondered what had happen, good to see you are back and I can relate although on a much smaller scale. I learned a lot about Davinci Resolve (and still learning) from you but when you disappeared I actually unsubscribed but the good news is I have resubscribed and look forward to learning from you again !
Billy! This is a great video. I had no idea you were a youth pastor. As a fellow pastor and UA-camr you have been my go to channel for learning Davinci. I’ve also enjoyed your templates. Thanks for sharing all this. Looking forward to continuing to follow your journey and learning something different from you!
Great to hear an update from you. I have learned a lot from your videos, and you made it all so much easier to understand with your fast paste learning.
Dude. Welcome back. I loved your videos and couldn't believe you just stopped. You don't owe anyone an explanation but glad you posted this and let us know. I loved your DVR tutorials, learned a lot. Looking forward to what's next.
Glad you are back! Also, glad I stayed subscribed over the years, I knew one day you will be back and I'll learn a few more tips and tricks on DR.. Awesome to see you again! Congrats to you and your wife with the baby as well!
Thanks for sharing! I’m glad you are well. I have personally benefited from you channel as well as your templates. You were so gracious to me when you helped me out with some issues I had with the templates and you also gave me some valuable tips on using Resolve. Thank you for all you do. Bless you and your family.
this is the first video I get to see from you, I don't know how you end up on my feed, but I hope you will teach me this in your future videos, I can't wait for your next video. no rush though, family and health come first so take your time, UA-cam is not going anywhere, we will wait for you
Thank you for sharing your Story. You were one of my favorite Channels for Davinci Resolve - learned so much from you. Looking forward to hear more from you and your journey! All the best from Germany
Thank you for the update. Your videos and the Starter Kit have really helped me when it comes to editing for my YT videos. I look forward to your pivot helping other UA-camrs. I hope to learn a lot. I want to grow my channel as, like you, I love helping and informing people as well. It's definitely hard with a full-time job on top. Wishing you many successes!
Welcome back man! I was just thinking about what is happening and why you don't post videos anymore. Great to hear you are doing well now. Keep up the good work and stay healthy. 👍
Amazing story, especially a peak into others going through similar difficulties even though it looks everything is so perfect and shiny from the outside. Thank you for sharing! Hope the best for you 💪🏻
Thank you so much Billy for all your help and answering to my emails. I started watching your UA-cam channel since you had a very tiny amount of subscribers. I did learn a lot from you 😊
Nice to see you again Billy! I had wondered what had happened to you because I absolutely loved your Davinci Resolve tutorials. You explain things in an energetic way that's really helpful. Whenever I had a question I'd be like, "Does Billy have anything on this?!" Glad you had a nice rest though and were able to "reset." Burn out is no fun, for sure. Thanks so much for putting out this video and best wishes.❤
Thank you for what you have already done and how you have helped in many problems. I congratulate you on what you have already achieved and wish you happiness, as they say in my country, "on the new path of life."
Your honesty !! Waw!! Thank you brother! God has great things for you! I've been discouraged with my channel because of my lack of knowing an this video was awsome!
This video was very good. Perhaps my favorite of your videos which I have seen. I would love to see you make videos of how you learned each of the new skills you've described.
Missed you a lot Billy. I'm so glad you were able to learn so many big lessons out of all this. You are stronger because of it. I really appreciate your candor and filling us in.
Just today I watched first video on your channel. And found attached this. You made BEST decision - not burn out. Because no one can learn and know everything. (20+y ago I was Youth pastor too)
You've learned a ton for your age. Failing and overcoming difficulties like these is what make people really grow. And it's good that you're that young because you are can recover more easily too. These experiences are going to help you all your life. Good luck for your future.
Thank you so much for this video. I have seen many channels come and go in the years since youtube started, but I always wait and hope that my favorite channels will come back one day, when they go silent. And listening to your story now warms the heart of an almost 60-year-old computer nerd. All the best wishes to you and your family, from northern Norway. :)
I stumbled upon this video and I listened carefully until the end, the story was so inspiring and relatable in some way. The struggle is real. I am happy to see genuine people that inspire others, counting on the what you teach in this platform from now on. God Bless you and your family.
Sometimes ya just gotta do what ya just gotta do! Nothing wrong with a screeching halt to recollect your thoughts. We all are glad to see you back and doing well! Thanks for all you’ve done for us.
There are many take aways in your story for many other professional areas as well. Really appreciate your openness and transparency. Family time never returns and your decision might even have saved you from other, harder consequences. Good choice and good for you! 🎉
Fair play for posting this video. It’s so hard to balance work and life. I thought growing my UA-cam channel would be easy. Wonderful to hear you have a child and you are enjoying being present for your family.
Thank you for this video. I feel the same for so many of these points. One put so much effort in a channel and then you look at it and think is all the time worth it? You feel tired. Then you try to reach out to people and companies, but you don't get any feedback. This also why running a day job. And then you think you want to do this permanently, but what you are getting is basically nothing. Is it worthwhile to keep on going? And sometimes you just don't enjoy it anymore.
Definitely missed your videos, I love your style and thank you for your honesty and sharing what has been going on! I pray God will continue to guide you and your family
I am so glad you posted again. I always liked your style and teaching skills, let alone your enthusiasm. We'll be praying for you and your next season in life.
I subbed to you because of your davinci tutorials but i stopped watching because i also stopped doing videos because of my job and personal issue hahah but thinking to get back as im more stable now, such a good timing for your video. Thank you for sharing! Stay blessed :)
Great to see you back brother!!! Great to see the Lord's help on your life and recovery! All for His glory!!!!! Will you keep your past Davinci tutorials here? I would love to still learn from them as I believe still relevant and has helped me so far. Best of blessings on this new journey! I'll be sticking around as I am trying to start UA-cam and apart of Think Media VRA program. Not fully following yet, but just practicing the editing side with Davinci.
Thank you so much Billy for sharing your story. I hope you are spending quality time with your baby and family, which is the most important. God bless you!
Good that you took time off. I took off all of 2024 (and a couple months late 2023) from content creation. I REALLY needed that break. I, too, became numb from making videos and missing out on life for 12 years prior.
I’m fully understand your burnout. I’ve recently stopped posting videos to my main UA-cam channel. UA-cam is not the same as it used to be, also the revenue is much less. I used to enjoy posting the videos as a hobby but not anymore.
I missed you guys 😃
For those of you who are sticking around, Thank you! You are absolutely amazing, and I cant wait to post more videos!
For those who are leaving, Thank you! You made me who I am, and I'm so grateful for you! I hope you go on to do amazing things!
i can really relate
We missed you too!
Look after and pace yourself. Congratulations on getting that position with Think Media. They got lucky.
Billy, thank you so much for the update… totally missed you, the best davinci channel there ever was! The inner quality is your integrity and honesty.
Under charging will suck the life blood out of you. Grinding only makes sense for a select few.
Ahh thanks for sharing man! Looks like a lot of healthy things are in your future. Proud of ya man!
Appreciate you bro! Happy to see you crushing it!
Good to see you back man! We’ve missed ya!
Thanks brother! Glad to be back!
That's so true

Billy, watched your stuff long time ago. Glad to see an update. GOD IS GOOD ALWAYS! Can your knowledge help a family content channel?
Thank you so much for this video. I have seen many channels come and go in the years since youtube started, but I always wait and hope that my favorite channels will come back one day, when they go silent. Welcome Back. I was really wondering where you've been. I learned a lot from your old Davinci Resolve videos! I am glad you are back.
Good for you billy. you are doing better than you think. you have learned so much and you are still very young.
Such an honest video. I think everyone with a channel can relate. Best of luck Billy!
Welcome back!!!
Glad to hear you are doing things on your terms.
By the way, what font were you using that popped up in this video?
Sometimes ya just gotta do what ya just gotta do! Nothing wrong with a screeching halt to recollect your thoughts. We all are glad to see you back and doing well! Thanks for all you’ve done for us.

So good to see you here again! I was kind of wondering what happened. Congratulations on becoming a father, and God bless you! 😀👍
... wow what a learning curve for you. Great to see you coming out the other side stronger than ever.
Good to see You are OK and I wish you good health and well-being 👍
I am so glad you posted again. I always liked your style and teaching skills, let alone your enthusiasm. We'll be praying for you and your next season in life.

Thanks man! It's great to be back. Yes I'll be keeping all the tutorials on the channel :)

Good to see you back dude, seems like you've gone through a lot of ups and downs. hopefully the future will be a lot better.
So happy you're still alive and doing good! I kept checking back and was worried after the recent trend of UA-camrs packing it in.
Glad you are back! Thank you for all you do!
😢 wow I know how it feel try and try and don’t make it the way we want to , God bless you and keep fighting
Thank you so much Billy for sharing your story. I hope you are spending quality time with your baby and family, which is the most important. God bless you!
Thanks for sharing your journey ~ first time to your channel, and I just subscribed. I look forward to the next one. 😊
Great to see you are in a better place. Always put your self and your family first !!
Good on you Brother!!! We have to be Spirit-led! I am so proud of you for not walking away from the ministry!!!
