The most underrated guitarist EVER in my opinion. Such tone, such feel, such emotion. The bloke is a genius. Seen Camel many many times and they never ever disappointed, no matter what the line up.
In my humble opinion obscurity of such a remarkable and talented musician as Andy adds to his mystique. Only those who can truely appreciate the beauty and emotion instilled in this gem are really worthy of listen. The radio picks and chooses who to air which reflects the limited and stunted knowledge of their musical ear. Andy, the guitar gods have blessed you. Thanks for allowing we mere mortals the honor of hearing you.
Yea...unreal!!! And probably the least known. If you said "David Gilmour or Andy Lattimer" to most guys in their 40's or 50's. A good portion would know who Gilmour is....F All would know of Lattimer and Camel???!!!

40 years on this is still my favorite piece of music. I remember the first one I heard it was in concert in 1979-80 not quite sure. I was almost at the front of the stage and I remember clearly being stunned, literally speechless at the end. I have seen Camel many times and never tire of Andy. I also remember when they came back after Andy's illness at the Barbican: there was a 10 minutes standing ovation when they came on stage. I have been to hundreds of concerts in my life and I have never ever seen that before and since. From 1:11 is a beautiful illustration of when someone is touched by God

Andrew Latimer is an emblematic Icon of the Progressive Rock History. Even if he has not the nowadays young players speed and technics, he possesses an exquisite, remarkable, sensitive, depurated, charming taste and his own original style, as a first class guitar player.

On the latest tour Andy seems to use a black Strat on "Ice", but in my opinion he allures so much more emotion and feeling out of the Les Paul. I hope he returns to the Les Paul again... All of Camel's records and tours are good, but their 70ies stuff (especially with Pete Bardens on keys) is pure genius.
