Cats don't necessarily eat owners that die because they're hungry. It's a natural instinct for them to consume their own placenta when they give birth or to eat a kitten that has died. They obviously can not cremate or bury their dead, and leaving a kitten to decompose would attract predators, maggots, and bacteria, which would kill the surviving littermates. Obviously, they don't actually think through this or understand why. It's just an instinct that has evolved over time. So if an owner passes and the cat can not leave the environment, they'll eat them. If there's a cat door, they actually prefer to leave. Likewise, if they cat has an owner and a kitten passes, the cat will bring it to their owner rather than consume it. It's not a desire to consume like hunger. It's a last resort. I have a cousin that used to be a cop, well county sheriff's department deputy anyways, he's retired now though. Anyways, he was on the swat team at one point and they were responding to a call about a domestic disturbance (yes, it was bad enough to need the swat team, although I don't know all the details). I do know at some point he gets taken hostage by the dude, has a shotgun pointed in his face, luckily they got the guy and my cousin didn't get hurt or killed. I do know he was in therapy for a bit after (it's mandatory when something like that happens). He ended up quiting the swat team and finished his career as a regular deputy. Crap like that changes you though and I don't blame him.
A good friend of mine that I use to game with from time to time is a police officer in New Jersey. I remember he told me and some others in our friend group about a homicide he had reported to a few weeks prior. A bodega owners wife called the department when her husband never came home after a day, so my friend and 2 other officers went to the bodega to search for the owner. When they arrived, some windows had been smashed/shot out and the interior seemed to be a mess. My friend and the other two officers draw their handguns and proceed to enter the bodega, slowly clearing out the small amount of isles in the bodega before approaching and entering the office in the back. Upon entering the back, they found the corpse of the owner. The owner had his genitals blown off by multiple gunshots and the back of his head had also been blown off
Story 7 ,as former EMS ive seen this exact thing happen on a self inflicted GS to the head victim. In his backyard and it was a random cat. We had to wait for LE enforcement to conduct an on scene investigation before we could touch the body and they had to keep shewing the cat away fromn( fragments) what was left of dudes head
That short story about Romeo the house-climber is appalling. The first shot, I get. Home defense is legal and necessary, especially if your kid is involved. Every single subsequent shot was psychotic and evil. Wow.
Yeah, don't know how much you know about firearms, but that particular story throws everything else into question. "Had his chest cavity blown wide open..." Yeeeeeah, starting to smell a little bit like an uncleaned stable with that manure...
@@derekreer8625I don't know anything about guns, but considering it was like 12 shots all in the same spot, couldn't that be possible? They said he emptied the entire gun on his already-dead body, then reloaded and did it again.

I witnessed a car legitimately explode on Wednesday. Not police٫ just freaky. Then my school was shot up. Twice.
Wow, what kind of wild was it that a domestic disturbance needed a whole SWAT team
Sooo, why didn't the girlfriend stop the father from shooting her boyfriend? Did she just want him dead?
I think the father wanted him dead from the sounds of it.
Bf was gonna surprise her, she didn't know until dad fired the first shot and at that point was probably in shock.
"Police officers are not well liked in the city of Los Angeles" yeah, for good reason.
yeah, they refuse to jail the criminal populace.
@@travisdeppe9172they are the criminal populace!
Wow o can’t believe it’s been 5 years I been listening🎉
Wow, salute to these law enforcers for helping the community to be a better place for society
The owner had his genitals blown off by multiple gunshots and the back of his head had also been blown off
Thanks, Joel
Powerful stories.
I have respect for the men and women wearing blue. It's not an easy job and the stigma that comes with it. I am happy to hear you guys are safe
The stigma is more warranted than you'd think and more warranted than I'd wish. We all have different experiences and see different things though.

I have waited so long for another one of these
Good lord, that last story broke my heart.

Good evening Joel and let's read family
I love the end
That short story about Romeo the house-climber is appalling. The first shot, I get. Home defense is legal and necessary, especially if your kid is involved. Every single subsequent shot was psychotic and evil. Wow.
While all of these stories are horrifying, this one made my mouth drop open.. and then when it ended I was like 'uhhhhhhhh.... wait what?'
Yeah, don't know how much you know about firearms, but that particular story throws everything else into question. "Had his chest cavity blown wide open..."
Yeeeeeah, starting to smell a little bit like an uncleaned stable with that manure...
@@derekreer8625I don't know anything about guns, but considering it was like 12 shots all in the same spot, couldn't that be possible? They said he emptied the entire gun on his already-dead body, then reloaded and did it again.
@@derekreer8625 If he really didn't know that was his daughters bf I am ok with what he did, if he really believed it was an intruder entering his daughters room, a man has a right to kill someone who breaks into his home period, let alone sneaks into his daughters room, regardless that is tragic as heck and now instead of saving his daughter and having her respect she likely will hate him forever.
I'm so thankful for the people risking their lifes day after day that I can live in safety.
Top notch ❤👍
These were good. Another one would be great.
Calm down. Be sure to exercise moderation. Not doing so might lead to a debilitating addiction to Let's Read episodes, & he doesn't upload enough to maintain a functional addiction on a day to day basis.

I know it's kinda selfish but I wish this video was like twice as long. When let's read gets in his bag, there's no better youtube for me, especially at night time.
24:40 hyperbaric oxygen has been showing such incredible improvement and brain healing that a carbon monoxide poisoning is one of the medical indications and it’s covered. After seeing what it did for Joe Namath and Howard stern that clip of a video that has changed my whole outlook on many brain health issues.

I once met a rescue cast who ate his previous owner. He was a great cat but he always seemed haunted.
"Being a cop sucked" I feel you brother lol
Horror stories about cops…already scary. Probably the scariest/deadliest stories you’ve ever read!
My Favorite Narrator Reading Plausible Stories for Grownups!!
I wonder how long, in the first story, that the officer had been doing his job? Because silence doesn’t mean scared, it means that you’re in danger!!
