      Blue Spooky uploads every day & you can expect the same type of stories & even the same stories at time's. Let's Read is my Drug of choice, but Blue Spooky will definitely suffice on those day's I'm unable to get my Let's Read fix & keeps the withdrawal symptoms at bay until Joel is back on deck. Mortis Media is decent as well, & always uploads long compilations, largely centered around the paranormal, but there's other types of true stories mixed in. Honorable mentions are: Being Scared, Southern cannibal, Bad Vibes Storytelling, Creepy Fox, Interscare Sleep, Swamp Dweller & then there's Mr. Ballen who's a tad different where as his content on UA-cam has him in the video, but the man can tell a hell of a story.

    Cats don't necessarily eat owners that die because they're hungry. It's a natural instinct for them to consume their own placenta when they give birth or to eat a kitten that has died. They obviously can not cremate or bury their dead, and leaving a kitten to decompose would attract predators, maggots, and bacteria, which would kill the surviving littermates. Obviously, they don't actually think through this or understand why. It's just an instinct that has evolved over time. So if an owner passes and the cat can not leave the environment, they'll eat them. If there's a cat door, they actually prefer to leave. Likewise, if they cat has an owner and a kitten passes, the cat will bring it to their owner rather than consume it. It's not a desire to consume like hunger. It's a last resort. Essentially, they saw their person as family and treated her death as they would their own kitten.

      @Dmitrikrotchlikmyov Рік тому +2

      Yeah cats are weird. Mine sprints away from the litter tray if she's been particularly smelly as she thinks it will attract predators and then the other one won't even hunt a fly let alone anything bigger, he gets bullied by the rabbit.
      Not all cats are born the same.

      @@thechuckjosechannel.2702 Thank you for your respect of veterans. They go through some unimaginable 💩. If you look at people's faces before and after war, the difference is shocking sometimes. Haunted eyes, rapid aging. I saw a comparison photo of Abraham Lincoln before and after war. It took it's toll. I saw a video yesterday of before and after war photos.
      I'm sorry that you didn't get to hear stories from your grandfather.
      For anyone reading this: I know that you're young but time flies. The older you get the faster time flies by. If you still have your grandparents and you love them, don't wait to spend time with them. Enjoy them *now,* while you still have them, please. I know that when you're young you think you'll have plenty of time to get around to visiting and that they'll be around forever but unfortunately, that's not the case. I promise you, you'll be glad that you did. Regret is hard to live with and you can't change it.

    The story about the lady and the carbon monoxide poisoning strikes kinda home. I live in a rural area and a couple years ago, in a neighboring town, several people died (one of the a six year old boy) due to a leak in a tankless water heater. There's a lot of scary stuff in this world. But these types of silent killers...it's a whole new level, imo...

      Having sensors in your house is a must,it’s a shame that more people don’t have them installed. They are relatively cheap and easy to set up and they are there to save lives. It’s really scary how easy it is for these gasses to build up and kill you and it can happen really quickly too. If you don’t have any I would really recommend you get some,especially if you have children and/or pets, they are really vulnerable to such things. Small children and your pets have way less lung capacity and they will succumb to the effects way faster than an adult that has a large lung capacity. It doesn’t take long for these gasses to build up and render you immobile and unable to get yourself to safety out of the house!

    My aunt was a Sargent for NOPD in New Orleans. She’s seen some horrible things. New Orleans, like LA is a very dangerous city. Anyway she was responding to a homicide, the dude had been dead for a while and his body bloated so much it EXPLODED into a million chunks bc of the humidity and hot temperatures. Her and her partner had to smoke cigars to cover the smell at the scene. She’s seen dead kids and so many things that has made her heart into a block of ice. She’s hardened. Much more tame but when we first moved in the gangs (VNE, and 8th Street, 8th street being the rival gang) were at war and long story short, our first morning in our new apartment, we woke up to a car that had been burned to a crisp. Apparently it belonged to someone in the rival gang. VNE were sending their message for shooting one of their own. Crazy times

    When I was a kid, there was this movie called Creepshow. (Kinda humorous and terrifying at the same time, with a host that was an animated freaky looking skeleton.) One of their short horror stories involved an elderly woman passing away in her sleep. She had a houseful of cats and they had started eating her body. The story about the cats reminded me of that show. It was horrifying to me as a child so of course, it made quite an impression on me. 😱🤢
    The story about the violent schizophrenic: I'm gonna say that "silent words" to me meant the cop's body language and how the perp was interpreting the look and expressions in the cop's eyes. As I'm sure everyone knows, you can tell if someone is judging you without a word being spoken. Another way would be reading between the lines, I suppose.
    Excellent storytelling from our hero, the legend, the one and only, Joel of Let's Read. Don't worry, I'm not fangirling. I'm old enough to be your mom and I'm proud of you just like one too. (a mom 🤣)

      I think you mean the show Tales from the Crypt because it was hosted by a skeleton. Creepshow didn't have that story because I still have the graphic novel by Stephen King, but I will say the last story in Creepshow is disgusting and can relate to the kitties eating the old lady. The last story has to do with cockroaches...blech! 🤢 Tales from the Crypt was awesome though, miss that show, watched it all the time as a kid. 😊

Anyways, he was on the swat team at one point and they were responding to a call about a domestic disturbance (yes, it was bad enough to need the swat team, although I don't know all the details). I do know at some point he gets taken hostage by the dude, has a shotgun pointed in his face, luckily they got the guy and my cousin didn't get hurt or killed. I do know he was in therapy for a bit after (it's mandatory when something like that happens). He ended up quiting the swat team and finished his career as a regular deputy. A good friend of mine that I use to game with from time to time is a police officer in New Jersey. I remember he told me and some others in our friend group about a homicide he had reported to a few weeks prior. A bodega owners wife called the department when her husband never came home after a day, so my friend and 2 other officers went to the bodega to search for the owner. When they arrived, some windows had been smashed/shot out and the interior seemed to be a mess. My friend and the other two officers draw their handguns and proceed to enter the bodega, slowly clearing out the small amount of isles in the bodega before approaching and entering the office in the back. Upon entering the back, they found the corpse of the owner. The owner had his genitals blown off by multiple gunshots and the back of his head had also been blown off

We had to wait for LE enforcement to conduct an on scene investigation before we could touch the body and they had to keep shewing the cat away fromn( fragments) what was left of dudes head
