People should be aware that the d clip can and will shoot off if you do it wrong. Ask me how I know. Now I’m out 20 bucks ordering another. I wish I could shoot it this weekend

thx so much for the vid saved me a trip to the gunsmith and whatever it would cost to install. Getting that C-clip back on was a PITA, then I put the carrier dog leg strut pin (whatever it’s called) in backwards during reassembly. Couldn’t figure out why the bolt wouldn’t rack all the way, so I had to go back rewatch that portion of the disassembly. Gotta pay close attention to those little details, what goes where and in what direction. But I prevailed in the end and next time will be much easier. Thanks again

You just changed my life with the bag trick. Lost so many pins and springs in my workshop….been dreaming of building a “white room” so I could find previously yeeted items easier. This is my new standard. Thank you!!!

Thank you for making this! Beretta doesn't provide instructions to install the pro style lifer, so I am grateful you made this!

Man I have to say a full length review on the 1301 gen2 from you would be great content. How the lifter works vs the standard, how you like the fore end vs the stock beretta one, your red dot setup and full ghost ring vs half cut.

It's one of those videos that I wouldn't like doing mainly because for the most part, I would have to show range experiences (which unfortunately I don't have footage of, but one pertains to sling attachment placement or how a side saddle in general interferes with quad loading, or how mounting the forward sling mount closer to the receiver by the side saddle led to the sling interfering with my ability to load from a side saddle) or explain hypothetical scenarios, some of which only makes sense with actual video footage of my home layout but I wouldn't want to put out in public for security reasons. I can also guarantee it'd be around a 1+ hour video.
A lot of people for example like the RMR on shotguns. I prefer T1/T2 tube styles because I can essentially use the housing as a back up giant ghost ring and shot patterns tend to be round-ish rather than rectangular. imgur.com/QTnzzUX Same reason for full ghost ring vs the half cut "Rob Haught" style. The lifter for example creates a giant funnel in the loading port and you don't fight against the spring pressure on the lifter when loading, however if you're the type that sees that as a potential entry way for more mud/dust/etc to get in, then it may not be a good choice. Lights for example, I use a Streamlight HL-X (higher candela than Surefire M600DF) with Arisaka Defense Streamlight to Surefire Tailcap adapter with a DS00 tailcap combined with a Unity Tactical Hot button (can be used as a side barricade stop on a door frame) and a Magpul Extended Cantilever mount. This allows me to position buttons on both sides at basically the same distance so I can shoot left sided or right sided. The light is recessed behind the muzzle so it can also be used as a barricade stop provided I don't need the light. This pushes the muzzles further past the barricade and minimizes potential shot into barricade impact/frag hazards. imgur.com/WV5W0se
      imgur.com/3YQ9dq8
The Aridus/Magpul foreend for example can interfere with a smooth twins or quad load when your pinky hits the rear ledge imgur.com/x16Yahd however it offers more versatility in mounting accessories and the forward lip of the handguard works as a small barricade stop imgur.com/reToAmd on say a coffee table or dresser that allows me to lean more of my body weight to help mitigate recoil.
The best advice I can offer would be to watch as many of the home invasion videos as you can and see how the invaders move around. Use a tape measure to measure out minimum distance you should be proficient and analyze angles and to determine which type of ammo is acceptable. You'll find that stuff like how you move around, light placement, photonic barriers, door frames, furniture, one handed shooting (injured or if you have to carry a child to safety, opening or closing doors/gates), sling positioning, will force you to set up things in a certain way.

Has anyone ever had their lifter lock into the down position? It seems like it shifts to one side by less than a mm or so. I had to pull it back to center to get it to function normally. Weirdest thing.

I notice your lifter is flat at the end are you using the 3”lifter pro from Beretta ???
I’ve been training with dummy rounds and occasionally I would pinch my finger. Looking for something flat at the end.

    • @Evintos

The lifter in this vid is a 3.5" comp (non-pro style) lifter that I modified to fit into the 1301 tactical. It was an experiment that worked to eliminate thumb pinch but 2 days after I did this, Beretta released the 3" pro-style lifter. I recommend the 3" pro-style lifter for sure.
The Beretta 3" pro-lifter has a small notch cut but because of how it is designed to stay up and out of the way of the magazine tube, you don't get any thumb/finger pinch (at least I haven't, with or without gloves). Depends on how big your finger is.
Video short of the 3" pro style lifter.

What did I miss? You hit the bolt forward but your lifter does not go up for easy loading , its still down!? Or you didn’t do that you just showed how to change one and did not install the pro lifter

    • @Evintos
      @Evintos  Рік тому +1

Last sentence is correct. It's a tutorial for how to switch the lifter out with a important note regarding the D-clip gap width and not making it too wide or your trigger pin will walk out under recoil. I took the lifter off and just put it back on rather than putting the pro-lifter on for the vid but the instruction to install the pro lifter is the same.
