Nah. I don't think this will take off like the O11 did.
Yea this is ugly in my opinion
Agree
Looks flimsy and poorly built compared to the O11.
Also a lot of compromises and not very well thought out. This ain't it, sorry Nick.
Facts, but it is another design that’s wild. If they released this and the 011 at the same time 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨
He woke up and chose violence.
the long flat cable is so weird, hasn't anyone come up with a better connector? something like a riser to rog xg mobile (I know it's proprietary, but it's an example) adapter, but for internal usage
thanks.. hope your trip is great.
I f*cking love how opinionated you are in your reviews. I love it so much. Not a generic "lets keep this neutral to keep ALL advertisers happy" - your reviews have personality. Please dont change.
Yeah let's just hope Nick doesn't go all the way down the rabbit hole like Steve from GN, where every video is an outrage piece.
It's about his opinion and review after all.
Haven't watched a Gearseekers video in ages because of a packed schedule, I'm very glad this video was here when I returned :)
I love the very last frame of the video. So wholesome. 🤗
I am a big fan of cases that use a smaller footprint and build higher instead of wider. The less space it takes on my desk the better.
And I like big because more air but I don't have it on the desk anyhow. What is a must is 140mm fans for less noise too!
I have been tempted to replace my NR200 with an Antec NX500M for this reason. Almost the same footprint on the desk, but built up taller to support larger coolers and bigger GPUs. Looking at the dimensions of this SUP01, it is basically the same footprint at the NX500M but taller again.
yeah never got a fishtank dual chamber for this specific reason. I use an ultrawide monitor so desk real estate is already pretty precious to me.
"The 87 km long riser cable.." Yikes, where to put 86.99 km's of cable =/
They should have put PSU in the upper part and delete the bottom area
Really nice to see some innovation for a case manufacturer, its honestly not for me, but i still like it. Klaire's Aorus advert was on point. Looking forward to watching your comptex coverage.
I really like the way this case looks, think I'll build a smaller pc into this case, like a stream pc or a pc for my kids ... love the content as always! keep it up
“I thought mirrors were supposed to be on the roof” bwahahaha. I love you for this.
This case looks like fun to do a custom loop in
Facts
Thats my next Case for my next build
Very cool! Just one question: can you plug a standard PCI card? Say I want to add usb or storage expansion via a PCI card
While I am not crazy about this case, I did enjoy the video.
10/10 will seek gear here again.
I love everything about this case... But that weird open space where the riser cable is. I would love to see this case in matx with the board rotated and keep everything else how it is. That would be awesome.
I still love the 011 family/style of case
Killer content lately!
Hey Nick! What would be the issue if I were to use a Corsair Shift PSU in that case? Would the cables (specifically the CPU power) be too short?
Very interested to see if both of those brackets can house 240-360mm rads. Independent cpu and gpu loops could work. Also seems like enough room for pump/res. Also knowing Lian Li, wouldnt be surprised if this gets some sort of distro plate with a liquid cooling partner at some point.
the xlr8 card looks like it was made for this case. looks awesome with the glowing x
My biggest concern about GPU riser card since the first time is that the big flat cables will block the pcie expansion slots. We need the pcie expansion slots for pcie capture cards, etc.
Outstanding Video & beautiful build! (you made it look easy)...just from "eyeballing", this the innovations look great...love the external rear fan capability...the ability to improvise & adjust fitment, especially consideration for the Radiators/fans & daisy chaining built in to boot, "whoa!", the Graphics Card & thorough physical support of the Vid-Card, wow!...for myself, as far RGB goes, I personally am not an aficionado of this concept, it would be really cool if Lian Li were to offer this case with a sans/RGB option for a lower price point, otherwise I would just opt to turn off these features...all & all, good on Lian Li for the product & yourself for the demo....thank-you muchly for the above!...jo'c
Love you guys, God bless. Hi Klaire ❤❤❤
I look at this case, at how weird it looks with those long pcie cables, i think it has more optimal looking if it was made for matx and smaller form factor.
Lian li responded to my message about the AIO clearance on the new Lian Li SUP 01.
76mm and the Arctic freezer 3 is 63mm with fans while most AIOs with fans are only 55mm with fans.
What is the maximum GPU height support? I ask as GPU water blocks need some extra height clearance for those terminals and tubing / fittings. So what works length wise for a waterblock GPU may not work in height, it looks like it should have ample space given the ability to slide the card around but I was curious what it would fully allow.
Nice design but,
What will happen if I try to plug in some extra pcie devices on the mb, like rog hyper m.2... Does it really wide enough to support them
Nice to see that you finally started to mention AU prices.
The fan connector reminds me of the Arctic P12 / P14 fans.
Since i air cool this case would not work if i'm looking right, i mean i could use a LP air cooler but not my kinda thing.
Watched the entire video, still not sure how to remove the panels. Do i lift and pull them away from the case?
You forgot the little wobble, mate
Very efficient use of space. I agree this will kill the dual-chamber design.
My only gripe is shifting front IO to the side. I use my case on the floor and they'll be blocked by the legs of my desk
I love weird designs. This case is unique and awesome !
Looks nice but seems like a bit of a hassle to build in plus not sure about GPU clearance
The legacy of Gear Seekers will never die.
I’m going to be honest.. I just watch these videos to hear “Away from the case” in as many ways as possible.
Is the exhaust fan, uh, intaking from the rear? Nevermind of course it is.
Omg BEATUFIUL!
I appreciate Lian Li for trying something different to their usual, but to be honest, I'm not feeling this case. Great work from GS though!
really interesting design, I just don't like the position of the IO ports, makes the side look more empty to me for some reason, it's kinda in the middle of nowhere idk lol
you are always doing that with those grommets 😁🤣
9:46 i sure hope that riser cable isn't 87km, 50km would be better cable management wise.
So if you are building with an AiO you have your cable management sandwiched between the back of your MoBo and your Rad that you then can only bring out so much while the AiO is installed. Dont know if you could reach everything with just removing the panel for the fans.
And while I understand the cooling concept, but wont believe its any better than other cases till the numbers show it, having the GPU up front seems like a very specific thing to do, so imo this seems to be a pretty niche thing for people that want something different which is fair but I dont think it will "kill" the O11.
The o11d is the greatest case ever made.
Luv my 011
About time! I have wanted a case design just like this. The only thing that would have made it the perfect case for me, would have been to have the GPU along the back instead of the front, but, still, it is further away from the memory and CPU, which is a plus for me.
You know, you can always turn it 180° 😜
Sweeeeet video dude
P.S. Hi Klaire 👋🏻
I wish they did a full mesh version. I don't need the TG.
I don't see how this gonna replace the o11 at all lol. It's meh at best.
Dude! The difference from your flashback at computex and now is massive man, you've lost a lot of weight!
Also I just built my personal PC this week and then a cool case came out.. kinda like when you wash your car it rains.. so you guys are welcome for the case. aha
I was looking into this but realised this is not good for VR users who have a Valve Index headset. You'd have to take the mesh side panel off to run the DP to the card and....somehow connect the USB to the back or front left side of the case?
Get a 2 ft dp extension cable and it will work with no issues for the index. It's only when you have a very long extension that it would cause issues
The mirror on the bottom would make more sense if it were under the GPU. Didn't really seem to offer much in terms of view, so not sure why it's even there.
I LOVE THIS CASE OMG. I know the annoyance with some of the issues you mentioned, but this is the case iv been wanting, I was gonna build in the Jonsbo v3, but i think i might go with this once its available.
Hi, i'm so curious how your 7800x3d idle so low...because mine 7800x3d idle lowest only got 40c. I'm use kraken z73 on my processor. Ambient room temp 23c.
It frees up the pcie space!
Would this work with my hybrid gpu (240) and a 240mm cpu aio simultaneously?
0:36 dammit! i like that xD 10/10
This case may become niche if the rtx 5000s series actually goes for a oem liquid cooling setup (no room for tubes in the front)
i mean its nice and all but wont this have airflow restriction??
- The fans locations totally make absolutely no sense at all … ? 🤷🏻♂️
They could've at least put them on the top
If you had an understanding of engineering, thermal dissipation and airflow, you’d realize that this configuration indeed makes perfect sense. It is actually pretty well thought out.
According to YTers & their followers, the mechatronics engineers designing cases at Lian Li don’t know anything about design or fan location. They’re just moving things around in their cases to be different 🤷♂️
@@Jadedx_ Arguably the top PC UA-camr, JayzTwoCents, did an airflow test with positive results. Waiting for GamersNexus’ review.
I can tell all the other case manufactures are getting nightmares.
"pull away from the cassse"
"pull away from the cassse"
"pull away from the cassse"
"rub the lotion on the skinnn"
*"It's not an 011, so I like it."*
This is the shade and pettiness I come here for.
we need to know how much rads does it fit:)
Where is this rumored pcpartpicker link?
it's kinda gimmicky. they just moved components to different areas on the case without actual benefits XD
The only thing this is a nail in the coffin for is itself 😂😂😂
I don't hate the case, but definitely don't love it. Loved your video though!
I would have liked to see the gpu able to be mounted vertically in front of the motherboard so I can use a thicc radiator in the front
The coke mirror is a nice touch
@5.05 mirrors on the roof, not the floor HAHAHA....
and then @5.20 'you gotta load it in the back' :D :D :D
I am absolutely no fan of RGB at all, I always try to keep it to a minimum, if it isn't avoidable at all. BUT! I have to admit at 16:16 this looks actually pretty decent.
"Away from the case" 2:24😂
This case has good thermal solutions. Good to se a vertical gpu with i/o shield at the bottom, cause at the top could have been a thermal disaster and overheating for the biggest part of the gpus. The fan as intake at the back is horrible !!! It's like the last minute solution for a designer who has forgotten to insert it in the project. Bad to see it in a case like Lian Li
Yeah ill get one of those... Thats cool, finally a great reason to ditch my bulky Corsair D5000
Crazy prediction here. It won't kill the 011. The only thing that will kill the 011 is the 011 itself by being around for so long.
YEAAAAAAAH
I really don't see the appeal of a front mounted GPU-seems needlessly complicated.
Finally, another case that won't cover the beauty of the motherboard.
I do like that, but I will stay with my with my Evo..
you had me at "Big A** Aorus"
I’m stilling waiting for that L shape PSU to release
It's a very nice case but I don't think the layout is for everyone! I have the 011 and love it! It's my style. To each their own!
Poah, finally someone else that said 011 is boring 🤣
The 5090 will like the PCIe extension cable, not.
it better fuckin does, cuz its gettin into my meshroom s with 2 rads
I really love the step away from fishtanks which have been the defining factor for like the past 5 years which Lian Li themselves pioneered. Honestly its just too boring at this point. This case looks very Alpha to me atleast, it still looks abit too prototype-y, the overwhelming velcros, external fan mounts and bottom mirror look like they are trying to hard to make this work, but its still pretty janky. But I believe its a step in the right direction. I hope they come out with more polished iterations of this case and specially, a version which hides the bottom portion of the mobo (with exposed I/o connectors and the gpu riser cable).
So basically this case has the best of everything. Take my money…..
Can you install 2 GPUs?
Technically yes
wish they do razer edition
I mean, this case wont do things that the o11 will do, so how is it even the first nail?
7:49 my man, please blur it 🤣
Different design. Shame the psu shroud isn't mesh
The RGB cage style is ugly. Better nothing there😂
😂😂😂 I love how some people hate on the O11 cause it's literally the most used case on the market and the one that every other company has tried to copy from. I love this case!
The O11 is a copy of the Corsair Carbide 540
@@GearSeekers Right but it was executed alot better for sure. And looks better lol
I really don't get why people aren't liking the case. Thermals for air cooled GPUs will be unmatched. Clearance will also be great. The cpu aio is fine where it is as it won't take any hot air from the GPU. You also have full access to the motherboard which makes it easy to add or remove nvme drives, clear cmos if needed etc.
The real two downsides, the placement of the GPU as routing the display cables will suck but getting some 2ft extensions would fix that. The other is limited space for adding any capture cards, fortunately for me i don't use any so it won't matter to me but that would be a valid problem to others. Can't wait until mine arrives. I had the original O11 and really liked it, but really tired of it.
87 KILOmeter long riser cable. LOL 🤣🤣🤣
I hate that gpu orientation and it needs to stop
dasiy chain 😏😂
away from the caseee
