It's a simple idea that works very well. I caught another pile of fish on it again today. Like you showed in your video how far back those bass are, that's where I am trying to fish most times.
Very cool! You have some really solid tips and tricks you share, this rig is heading out on the kayak with me this weekend for sure lol thanks for sharing, much appreciated!!
Fished the Waco and Wacky rig for the first time today after watching your videos on how to rig them. Caught them on the rock points in 1 to 5 ft of water. Thank you for the lessons put 10 in the boat 13 to 14.5 inchers.
@lowbrowfishing did you invent this? when I look it up all I see are your videos. Anyway, thank you if you did!! Fish were finicky today, but the waco rig managed to beat the skunk for me. I put the nail weight in closer to the bottom of the "belly" of the worm, and it keeps the hook point up. Other than that, highly effective. From one wacky rig angler to another, thanks for covering this. The wacky rig is my main confidence lure... until now lol.
It's something I started doing a few years ago. To my knowledge, nobody else was doing it back then. I've caught so many fish with a Waco rig and I'm happy it's been productive for you was well!
@@LowBrowFishing Hey man! I just wanted to report more on the ol' waco rig. I've been messing around with it for the last month or so. Its has its own dedicated BFS casting setup now in my quiver of rods lol. I tend to keep it tied on all the time like a wacky rig (which also has a dedicated rod lol). I've started fishing it more like a hard jerkbait, but with longer pauses, and a cold water cadence (even in hot water). Its started to become a good search rig too lol, and can cover a lot of water. Today, in 49 degree water, it grabbed 2, 1 pounders when I thought I was going to get skunked lol. Anyway, just wanted to report in more success and a some evolution with technique.
Your presentations are very informative and I appreciate that your are not associated to anyone and can give totally unbiased information. Can't believe your subscribers are not higher. One question. When you say to use a small EWG on the waco rig, how small is small? Best wishes
Could you tell me what a really small AWG fishing hook is. It would be nice to know the side number one, one ought, two ought. I like the idea, and I'm very anxious to try it. Thank you so much for sharing.
With EWG hooks and Worm hooks, the lower numbers are smaller hooks. A size 1 is the smallest. A 1/0 and 2/0 are the next sizes up but also still small. For the Waco rig, I use a 1/0 or a size 1 EWG hook.
I'm glad you liked it! The viewers were calling the swimjig I fished skirtless the Lowbrow rig last year. I call this the Waco rig after the city of Waco, Texas which sounds like wacky. But the rig is still essentially a Texas rig mostly.
Do you have a favorite wacky rig trick to get those tough bites?
Very nice! I could have used that last week for sure. Will have to give that a go!

I don't fish a wacky all that much. But after seeing this, I probably will do it more.
It works great!
Down to earth fishing at its best your show is awesome and tips are top notch
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!
Great video and great tip! Thanks for sharing! #LowBrowFishing rocks!
Thank you so much!
I really like the on the water fish catches. It helps to see how this works.
I'm glad you liked it!
I’m so interested in fishing the wacky rig and have looked at other videos but yours are the best and give the most information
Thanks so much! I'm glad you find them useful!

That is awesome! I'm glad it was helpful!
Great to meet you today even given your misfortune. I appreciate the info and iam looking forward to trying them.
It was a pleasure meeting you today, and I hope you get some good results from the rig!
Woohoo... The Waco rig, thank you Low Brow
I'm happy you liked it!
Thanks for sharing this! I can think of a lot of places I can use it.
It works in a lot of places!
I can’t wait to try this , thanks !
I really think you'll like it! I still use this setup almost every time I go out!
I will have to give that a try this weekend!
I think you'll really like it!

@@LowBrowFishing Sure is productive! Love how it darts around and goes to a wacky rig on pauses. Very innovative lol.

I usually go as small as I can: 1/0 light wire EWG. Worm hooks don't work as well.

My wacky rig "trick" is using Gary Yamamoto Senkos. I absolutely love the fall rate! Caught many, many bass on a GYB.
Great worm for sure!
Really cool tip!
Thanks!
What colors would you recomend?
I like to keep things simple - Junebug is my go-to or black/blue flake. Green pumpkin or something natural like that is a good one to have as well.
Does this work with a bigger worm or just those smaller 4 inch worms?
I've used it with 4 or 5 inch worms. I've also used trick worms and Creme scoundrels and they worked great as well.
Maybe this should be called The LowBrow Rig?
Definitely trying this mod!

@LowBrowFishing
I'm gonna also try this central nail technique w/ the floating Z-Man trick worm.
Thx for the inspiration.!
Found the video LowBrow 👊😎
Great! There are a few that I've done!
Waco rig, that thing is on fire lol
It's a fish catcher!
Nice fish? Those are dinks. Not that anything is wrong with that.
Thanks for watching!
