Odd. Could be the brand recognition isn’t there. My buddy has had his since 2007 and it’s been phenomenal-I don’t know if he’s changed the tubes.

@@zacharydavid403 They don't really have a "signature" tone. Check out the Kemper profiling amps factory list. There are a couple of entries but Fender and Marshall have 100s respectively, there are boutique amp manufacturers that have more amps in that list than H&K. I honestly think that is the reason. I have a GM40, it is very convenient and sounds great but to paraphrase the description I was given when I bought it "it does mesa, marshall and fender - but just not as well as any of those amps". That versatility + the midi control with a true analog signal path is why I got mine. Now, there are not too many amps out there doing this(or at least were not when I got mine).

@shone99 that’s one view, maybe. But I don’t let Kemper profile lists as proof. The H&Ks aren’t getting credit for how good they are but then Revv makes one little lunchbox and everyone loses theirs minds! Revv is awesome, my point is that gain structures aren’t that different to me. I use basically a Bassman/800 type circuit b/c the physics just aren’t that different to me. The features and convenience are so ballin’ that I think the pose of having a recognized brand is alluring. Hūghes and Kettner make great sounding amps that function with God-like precision. They’ll end up winning the tube amp war.

I don’t have the Triamp, but I have the Grandmeister 40 and I have to say that’s it’s a killer amp head. I’m very happy with it. Love Hughes and Kettner

I have a Vox Amplug that also has 3 preamps (clean, crunch, & heavy), so I know amps like these are really good. I should probably get one of those amps because they are obviously much better than a $40 pocket-size amp

The guys from kizz also used them. In there rig rund down he shows off his signature model. I think he had a mark 1 and a marm 2 signsture amp.

I was just looking through one of my old Guitar World magazines from 2009. There's an ad with Jeff and the coreblade amp head. Time flys. And yeah, Jeff is a monster musician.

Best rock tones ever out of these amps I truly believe that. Tommy’s tone with his for KISS was incredible. I heard it multiple times through different PA’s and a few times on stage with kiss standing 5 feet from his 412 with his tech. Just unbelievable. For the super heavy metal stuff I do not prefer these amps tho. But they have the best rock tones ever. Just my 2 cents.

The latest H&K amps have crazy midi integration to that goes beyond simple channel switching. I'm surprised that many of the more progressive metal bands that have a million part changes don't utilize this more. Sync the midi with the click track and no more stompy stompy needed on a footpedal that has more buttons than NASA's control center in Houston.

@@UA-cam_gets_dumber_each_year There is a very good chance it will. With so many awesome high gain amps out now (and alot with TONS of hype) the mk3 is another very overlooked amp.
