Swiftness is important and completely overlooked here because the tutorial was skipped. Abilities with swiftness have a blue cost indicator instead of purple and when you use one it will not advance the counters on the enemies and it will not overload the character. Overload increases the cost of all non-swift skills of the overloaded character by 1 per overload
i dont know if you noticed, but healing is less effective without the green bar. and pain damage is damage that doesnt reduce the green bar. this is explained in the tutorial

I have been having a lot of fun with this game ever since it officially came out, 70hrs in, got the true ending, final conclusions and everything, has been a total blast.
Congrats on beating the Witch first try, a lot of first runs die to Witch
The Tank is... well, it's scary at first glance, but it's, as you might have felt, actually just a pushover
Good luck on your adventures, the story, while certainly not Shakespeare, is quite decent and can hold its own weight, certainly worth your time. Though, to get to the true ending, you are likely looking at at least 15 runs, that is, if you are winning most of them.
PS: All of Chrono Ark characters are equipped with two "inbuilt synergies" they can build towards. For example Pressel can be quite good on the offensive despite being a support character. It's a good thing to keep in mind when choosing cards to know which side of them you are more in need of
God the soundtrack on this game slaps so hard!
Hope you play a fair bit more. All of the characters have some neat mechanics and combos, and the late game gets pretty wild.
Story, bosses, and soundtrack ramps up as you play, with some good-ass plot twists.
Hope you stick with this game 'til the end. Would also be good UA-cam content.
ah yes, our healer does more damage then our attacker...yup. seems right.
You can rig an all out attack with a full hand of First Class to Heaven, which, depending on how she is built, can output some 600 damage in one turn.
You can also make one of the attackers, Charon, heal more than your healers, it's really funny how every healer in this game can be offensively quite impressive.
Though, this actually applies to all characters, even all the tank characters can output some insane damage, as long as you know how
@@adamxue6096 yeah the shockwave for mobs and bash for bosses. joey for heal-shield. it's a very strong combo

Joey is only ok for that, Leryn is the real insanity where you can just get major ton of damage every turn

You need to have a skill called Replicate
Make sure your deck is mostly comprised of 0-1 costs non-rare skills
Replicate then can easily find First Class to Heaven, and fills your hand with it, so you also need an All out Attack ready in hand
Then you just pop it and see her swinging for like 1minute straight

It's been out in early access for ages, and I only ever hear about it from avid fans and rarely from mainstream discussions/discourse.
Thank you for the video, game looks okay? Enemies look good, but the player models all look very cheap.
