@sheldon pereira House runs TONS of tests. But all the diseases on the show are rare and hard to diagnose, because it wouldn't be entertaining if it was like a real hospital where ninety percent of the cases are nothing special.

One of the only times I'll ever say House had an awesome response to the situation. He understood how serious it was and didn't let her get away with it - but he also gave her another chance to change the behaviour when he easily could have let Cuddy ruin her career forever.
Exactly, he was right - saved her career, protected her, taught her a lesson and then gave her a second chance. Best line of behavior in such situation
Since you're both treating this like an irl sitch, i will too: *Cuddy is the ADMIN. HOUSE is a doctor.* In a REAL hospital, that would NEVER happen.
Alysia Mer David-Wasser, it would if that Doctor was good friends with the admin and that doctor had the best team in the hospital.
He did something similar for Chase as well, when Chase's dad was dead.

@@amydenton3424 Not completely. She's still a doctor, just not employed by the hospital. She can rend care if the need arises. It's a grey area because she's on company property so sticking around and looking at x-rays probably wasn't legit, but the life saving she did was completely legal.
House didn't say when the firing would become effective. He may have needed to give here notice before her employment finished.
'How long do you have? A little more than you do, a little less. I 'll race you'...that line was heartbreaking and was delivered so well by Olivia Wilde.
The relationship between thirteen and house is very underrated. They both respect and love (in their own ways) each other no matter what. He actually valued her and their relationship. Very subtle yet a valued relationship.
I especially liked the warm and loving moment when he fired her.

I’ve only seen episodes here and there and mostly clips on here, but I personally got a father daughter vide from them.
@@Ole_Rasmussen he had no choice, not even he could excuse her behaviour and let her around patients anymore. But he stepped in and saved her career - if Cuddy ran the tests she wanted, 13 would've lost her licence.
He offered to kill her when her disease progressed to the final stages, you don't get a stronger, yet stranger, friendship than that.

He even helped her several times, let her go in season 8 for her own good and promised to kill her when time comes... And actually he never revealed her secret to the team about where she was during a year (usually he blabs out everything just to tease them)

I love how House more often than not defends his team in front of Cuddy/patients/the police if they made a big mistake and then chews them out in private. (Also love how if it's not a big mistake he just ruthlessly makes fun of them).
Thats called being a very good boss. Even more than that, a strong leader. A weak leader wouldnt hesitate to ream someone out in front of everyone else for a power trip or let someone fail on their own.
As a boss myself that's exactly how I used to be, and my teams liked and respected me for that. I had at one point 178 people under me and not one of them ever wanted anyone else as their boss. I was proud of all of them all, and knew they policed each other and especially newbies. Those were indeed happy days.

People think House just likes to mess around with people but this seriously proves that he treats his employees seriously.

It's a shame honestly that they did a way with this character, the idea of two people in a relationship together both dying from different causes is conceptually very interesting and certainly a better arc for 13 than what she got.
Thank you! It would have been so fitting for her character type, and so poetic and tragically beautiful, like a lot of things in this show secretly are.

Thirteen was in a relationship and wanted to travel, House guilt tripped her into staying and rejoining his team, then at the very end he told her to just go with her loved one and enjoy her life, since he knew she didn't have long left.

People use saline IV to get over hangovers. It's somewhat common in the military. Some guy gets too wasted one night and has to be "at work" the next morning, so he gets his medic buddy to grab him a bag of saline.
It works. Hangovers are mainly caused by dehydration.
