@masonwheeler9624 It's a great motor too. I was a tech in the for almost a decade and I'm not really sure why but the 4.8L would come rolling in 400k or more. Maybe just a cheaper option for the area but we had 6 or 7 of these high rollers coming in for basic maintenance and nothing more. Plenty of 200K + 5.3L too, but no where near the 400K mark...

The 5.4 is known to be less reliable and is less common. Just like how most chevy gm products have the 5.3. Over their less common 6.0. Half ton wise at least.

@@ThePioneerSpirit And this is especially important due to repair costs and easy of access to parts.
Ford and GM products will always be more accessible than Toyota.

@@ThePioneerSpirit my c4 Vette needs like 20 different parts replaced right now. It's about $750-1000. (Things like a new alternator, brake bads and rotors, temperature sensor etc etc)
I did the same for my wife's Toyota(just to see), not only more significantly expensive, but a lot on back order/shipping from over seas. It's insane.

Theres also a huge market for exporting land cruisers from USA to Africa and the Middle East which is why you dont see many more Land Cruisers. Also a huge market for single cab short bed V8 truck export to the Middle East for whatever reason.

Sorry not to complain but the the truth is my dad owned a blue 97 expedition with the 5.4 triton in it and at 40,000 miles it blew a spark plug through the head and ever since then it had more and more problems so he sold the piece of shit. i mean yes 2000 and above vortecs 5.3 also have problems but man not as much as the 5.4 tritons.

5.4s are not in crown Vic’s. Those are 4.6s and they don’t have the problems the 5.4 does.

Fish are not in the middle of the pond. They hang out near grass or logs. Also, keep your rod down and slow drag to lure

That 0 to 60 on the cruiser actually makes me feel a lot better. I have a similar lift and tires and live at a similar altitude but an regeared to 4.56 and have 3x the mileage and I just clocked 15.6 to 60. So that means my engine isn't as tired as I thought... It's just always been slow.
