Good Morning Jenny, The Cottage Garden is going to be absolutely gorgeous next spring and I can’t wait to see it with the lighting! You are so correct, we are going through difficult times and we all need to be kind to each other! Everyone keep the North Carolina mountains and Florida in your prayers 🙏🙏❤️🇺🇸
Wow, the Cottage garden with the new terrace garden is going to be so darn beautiful. I can't wait to see the lights. Jenny, I love what you said at the end of this video. It's so sweet, and people really need to do some grace❤
The new terraced garden is gorgeous. What an investment in hard scape and plant life. An enormous change that will just mature beautifully. So impressive. Hopefully, the spring is calm and everything will have a chance to show off their beauty.
Yes, Jenny, a great message. My mother also taught me, along with "If you don't have any thing nice to say, etc.", "Treat others as you would like to be treated" . Please have empathy for others. We don't know what is going on in their lives. Give grace.
💛🩷💚 Gracefully Done😍. You reminded me of a quote I have in my kitchen, “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless “. ~Mother Teresa this speaks volumes! Thank you for our daily reminder. Glad to see your projects are moving forward. Thank you!🙏 ❤
I just love those Japanese maples!! 🍁 They're going to be beautiful in the coming seasons. Glad to see that clean-up after Helene is going well. Thanks for yet another great gardening video, blessings to you and your CN crew ❣️
I love that you said a broken stem is not the end of the world. And crispy leaves is ok. Some people expect a perfect plant with no damage at all when they get it online. It’s possible but of course there are times that nobody can control what happens inside the truck and boxes.
Patients, understanding & grace are essential now days. Tampa, Fl here. Just got internet back around midnight & still no electric. Survived Milton & need a new roof, fasha, my side & half my back yards are 3 feet deep in broken limbs. Worse experience of my life & this may drive me out I f FL but I'm alive.
Thank you for providing a nice respite from all the sad news we are hearing lately. I believe in prayer and have included all those involved in our recent violent weather. Everything you are doing at your home is an inspiration to we gardeners in the rest of the country. We just sprayed for army moths as they are on our neighborhood golf course. Love Mr. Maple idea and will be looking at the site. Thanks again and God bless.
Hooray! The neighbor's fallen pine is gone , let the re-creating begin! Same here, our neighbor's uprooted enormous Cypress, which smashed through their fencing and ours, was cleared on Thursday. Our white 4 board fencing is busted, the privacy fencing is leaning the gate is ... over. But our lovely Zepherine Drouhin climbing rose will recover as will our Magnolia Jane, and our topiary Ligustrum trees. It is amazing how much my spirits lifted once the tree was gone, because now I can see what needs to be done to move forward with the hardscape repairs and with the garden restoration.💚
Remember folks…..Gift Certificates make great gifts 😉 Especially from Mr Maple and Creekside Nursery which have both had a year for the weather record books😉
Big praises that the chicken coop was unharmed 🙌🕊 Continued prayers for all affected by the storms 🌅🙏🕊 I ordered a Vitex from you and it’s so cute 💚, been planted and doing well 👍
Love the red maples ❤️🍁❤️, I definitely need to order some from them ,bought gift today from 2 NC business, their stores are destroyed But but their distribution centers were not hurt,we have a local business that is carrying their products Great job on the terrace garden, you will have beautiful garden to look at when you come in and out your house, the lights are icing on the cake ………..Every night I Pray that i able to give Grace to others and myself……life can change in a blink of an eye 🙏🍂🍁
What a nice video to start my Saturday with!! I am in western NY and am just finishing putting everything to bed for the winter. I have learned so much from your videos and my garden looks so much more loved since utilizing some of your tips. Thank you so much!!
Love your graceful comments! Your a very wise lady! You asked about a maple tree your just received, I would suggest if it is an upright tree and not weeping, that it may be leaning over due to it stake be removed for shipping. As it a very young tree the cells may not have lignified (harden) properly due to the stake being to close. Therefore once you have checked it habit just re-stake (if appropriate) leaving some space so the sun can reach the trunk. Young trees need to be exposed to sun for the trunk cells to harden. You also were looking at an elm with bark damage: I would suggest due to it's location, moving it to a less prime location I think it will survive. With the damage facing north so it is not exposed to the heat of the sun, and planting a new specimen tree in it's spot. I would also suggest waiting to it's full dormant, to increase it's chance of surviving the move. Yes, I am theorizing it is deciduous. Love watch your channel, even though I am in western Canada.
Hi Jenny and Jerry Always enjoy watching the ‘escapades’ at Creekside. The segment of today’s video where you were showing the coping on the steps made me think ‘did they connect the behind the wall drainage to each step’. Maybe they did and I missed it. Unfortunately I am not quite the everyday viewer as my wife Kathy. I can foresee how each step could become a red tinged pond I’d not well drained. See you guys next June 20th!!!! Seemed like a wonderful way to spend our 45th Anniversary with my gardening junky wife. Love to Creekside Keith and Kathy Marsh
“That sounds good” your so funny Kenny and you done even try to be. TY for teaching and preaching grace in gardening we enjoy how ez going your vids are and how transparent you are about wins and losses
Good morning Jenny. Some sun exposure advice. Geisha gone wild will handle full sun and is my absolute favorite, Celebration out of the sun by noon for best color, filligree maybe 3 hours of morning sun or mostly shade (it's the least sun tolerant of all the ones you got), Fascination and fountain of youth can handle quite a bit of sun but would appreciate shade after 3 pm. I'm north of Charlotte so the same growing conditions as you. Also, the fascination I would stake that leader up, not cut it. Hope this helps
Love those Maples, can’t wait to see the lights ar night, good luck on the cleanup lots to decide to replace or hang on and see if damaged plants come back, thankful no one injured
That seems like a lot of lights for that area not being a patio you'll be using and sitting on at night. Glad you'll be conscious of not leaving lights on all night. It would create a lot of light pollution, which isn't good for nature. You guys have done a great job with all the stone work.
😅I have A LOT of plants to replace after the hurricane damage. It took me three years to get where I was before the storm. Some plants I will trim back hard to see if they recover next season. It might take me another three years to decide where to go from here.
My grace to myself is "I can do it next year." I wanted to transplant some peonies. That hasn't happened yet so, I will focus on cutting back my foliage at this end of season in MN. You kind of do triage when the season rapidly comes to an end and evaluate what has to be done vs. would like to do.
MrMaple has a UA-cam channel, and I believe they have videos on pruning Japanese maples posted to it. Great customer support though so a phone call or email should get a response.
Love that stonework in the terrace garden. For the wire cloches, can you get a planter with that shape, turn it up side down and pull the cloches over it to help get them back to their original shape?
Hi Jenny Love the gardens Question...How big is your transformer and where is it located? We have found our lights are dimming near the end of the line, so maybe we need a new transformer Who is the manufacturer of the lights & do they have website
I'm curious too about the manufacturer of your hard-wired landscape lighting. I love your channel even though I live in Illinois! I have learned so much from you! ❤
Your arborvitae will take some time but it will fix itself. You will almost forget that it happened. I have had one run over by a SUV and it fixed itself. The bald spots will be covered like a moustache or a beard. They are just really slow to repair themselves.
I am curious. Who's financial responsibily is it when someones trees does damage to your property? Not saying that you are going to ask them to pay for the damage, just wondering whose liability it is in this circumstance.
Just curious, did your neighbor’s home owners insurance pay for your damage from their tree falling on your property? I wish more people would show the grace that you do.
Absolutely agree with your comments at the end. Difficult times for sure. Thank you for reminding us to show grace.🥰
Always!

Thank you for "Jenny's words of wisdom!!" Well said, and I agree we all need more GRACE for ourselves and others! Have a great weekend!! 😊 😎

Thank you for your heartfelt comments. Two friends' homes have suffered severe damage. Both had damage from both hurricanes twice.

Good morning, Jenny! Y’all are making great progress over there! Can’t wait to see where the maples get established!🍁🍁🍁
You are such a sweetheart! Peace to you as well.
Mr. Maple- yay!! I have 3 of those cultivars. 😊

You can never have too many Japanese maples…or too much grace!

Thx Jenny!
Mr. Maple is very good about answering your questions. I emailed them and it seemed like they answered right away!
They’re fabulous!

Ordered with MrMaples here in N. Florida, 😊❤.
Yay 🍁
💕 love the lights and stones and steps
This will be georgeous
Blessings Jenny!😊
Love the guys at Mr Maples. I ordered 3 trees earlier this season, and they are doing good. Zone 9a north Florida.
Awesome!
Great advice Jenny!

My mom always said this too shall pass
❤
Jenny, do you guys still have Land and Sea Compost available? I missed your video telling of the sale. :-(
Yes! We have plenty available 🙌🏻
It's hot as hell down here in the summertime though. Lol
🙋
Hi Jenny
Love the gardens

❤ chúc bạn một ngày an lành ❤
I would hook the maple extra us fill in top.😊
That little elm tree should at least be given a chance! It doesn't seem like that much damage to just give up on the poor thing.
👏👏
Ohh,ohh, do I see a dead pine tree in the background behind the pot and the big tree?😮
I love Japanese maples but I suspect I get too much sun in my zone 9b yard.
Don’t you think that they would have trimmed it before going in the shipping box if it was supposed to be trimmed ? 🎃🍁💚🙃
I just ordered some seeds from Eden Brothers which I believe is based in North Carolina?
Yes! They are! And they have the best seeds, thank you❣️
Aliens on the moon will be able to see yor beautiful flowers and be jealous
So when are you getting a Dream Stream?
???
Your arborvitae will take some time but it will fix itself. You will almost forget that it happened. I have had one run over by a SUV and it fixed itself. The bald spots will be covered like a moustache or a beard. They are just really slow to repair themselves.
Ugh, I think the elm is going to need to come out 😢. In my opinion there seems to be too much damage for it to come back from
I agree 🥲
I am curious. Who's financial responsibily is it when someones trees does damage to your property? Not saying that you are going to ask them to pay for the damage, just wondering whose liability it is in this circumstance.
I have no clue. We just cleaned it up 😉
Just curious, did your neighbor’s home owners insurance pay for your damage from their tree falling on your property? I wish more people would show the grace that you do.
We don’t even say anything to them; we just cleaned it up 😊
@@GardeningwithCreekside somehow I knew that’s what you were going to say. 😉
ask your fren Laura🤞
