You can buy the ones with the damaged engine because in reality you just need the container itself, They have an amazing insulation already. I don’t know how much you spent here but my opinion is that it would’ve saved you the time of installing all insulation. Nonetheless, fantastic work!
Per square meter (foot) shipping containers are among the highest priced builds. They seem cheap because you get no square foot...per square foot they are stupidly expensive. ..and hideous, let's not forget how hideous and distopian these pieces of scrap look 😂😂😂
If you’re comparing to other ways to build a shaping shed, might be yes given the current price os steel plate. But if you take in account the robustness, easiness to setup and versatility this is by far the best option ( if you don’t have a garage or shed you could use). Also you can customize a container in almost every way you could think of so as to blend in your property.
Tanner, I saw your video on Quantum Tech HD’s UA-cam channel and I posted this same thing there but I was not sure if you would see it or not. So, after going to your UA-cam channel, which I must say is awesome! I decided I would post my post here for you to see. I love your shop that you built. I love the styrofoam that you used for your insulation. I am thinking of using conex container boxes to build a small second home with shop and I had been looking at spray foam but now I will have to take a look at the styrofoam like what you used. I like how it is preform to the shape of the conex container. The only thing that I would have recommended would have been to run your electrical in the valley of the container and cover it with your styrofoam and drywall making it all inside the walls. Since you are limited on space I would think that you would like to keep the walls clean giving you as much room inside from way to wall as you can get since you are working on surfboards. Either way, you did one hell of a job. If you make any updates to your new shop I hope you post another video! Now that I have found your UA-cam channel I will have to go back and watch all the video you have on your shop. Again great job!!

If they are repurposing videos you don't plan to repurpose yourself then it can only help your channel in my opinion. I wouldn't expect you'll get a large boost but I also don't think it would hurt to try.
If i had to critique one aspect of this video it would be the fact that you did the ceilings last… Any drywaller (or builder for that matter) knows you should do ceiling first then walls so the sides of the ceilings are supported

It's a good time-lapse video. I'm curious about the other costs, like insurance, for a new dwelling on the property that's connected to a utility (electricity). Any zoning problems? Complaints from the neighbors? Nice to see him wearing safety gear. (Respirator) Ear plugs? Safety glasses?
So I think you should have used the green board.... humidity will get that sheetrock right away. So please do yourself a favor and run a dehumidifier every day in there.

I used a shipping container for my business in Utah. 40 ft high cube - Insulated, ventilated, man door, internal cross-section partition, electrical outlets, switches & lights. When I sold the business, I sold that container for double what I had in it.
I watched it all the way through twice. Other comments are relevant to condensation and possible future problems. HOWEVER... I have friends with a couple of containers used just for storage. I would LOVE to know who was your source for those shipping-container-specific insulation panels!

Ещё интереснее куда вкручиваются все саморезы? Внешние стены целы, значит гипсокартон прикрутил к пенопласту, а полки к гипсокартону. Выглядит надёжно(

It would’ve been considerate to spruce up the outside, seeing how you put it right on the property line and basically just stuck a shipping container in their front yard that only detracts from their property value and serves them no purpose. Unless they are surfers and you make them free boards, or maybe they’re horrible people. Sorry to be that guy, but shit I’d be pissed.

Refrigerated container usually have a bad smell and is so hard do remove, specially when the isolations is contaminated.

Seen a hurricane flip one and a wave picked up and put on top a crane cab. We got back and all equipment was still intact inside. Was a 20 foot.
Should definitely try to anchor to the ground.
