Shield is #1 by FAR. These other boxes you see on ebay being sold "as is" which means they're broken. As in, NO longer works. You don't see any shield's like that. Granted, not everyone can afford the Shield so maybe mention for value and price, these are the best.

Do these boxes allow a person watching IPTV, to let 10-15 secs of video to go into memory to help prevent buffering. I use a paid IPTV service which barely buffers, but when it does, it usually during an important sports play. Thx.

@@timm8311 1. broadband speed of over 10Mbs/s 2. get a good android box. Nvidia shield is the best you can buy. the original shield from years ago still out performs the latest android boxes running android 10 with 4 G ram. no buffering

i have a km3 also. It's not a Shield but so much better than a MiBox. Great purchase in my opinion.
My advice is to always go with the NVIDIA Shield devices. Pricey? Yeah, but so much worth it. Powerful too! Just one man’s advice! Peace.

The Pixalator well you have your opinion and I have mine. Believe me, I have tried a lot of other cheaper android boxes.....a lot of them. It took me a while to get to the nvidia because of the price. I took a chance and bought 1 nvidia and couldn’t believe the difference. At first, I thought the same as you now I swear by the nvidia. But it’s about whatever works for you. The nvidia works for me
i have the himedia q10 pro. i have installed seren. and so i can stream 4k hdr vision movies. but my himedia wont support dolby atmos with kodi addons and dont support vision. wich mediaplayer will support dolby vision and atmos in kodi addons like seren?
I have had an ABOX for a couple of years and for the most part am somewhat satisfied. Recently I must have hit a setting that changed my NetFlix to play only videos with WiFi . My Spectrum provider has told me the ABOX is not allowing me to change that setting. Please help.

I have amazon fire stick. Any app I load, Dreamtv, unlockmytv, etc has too much buffering or links won't work. I tried all the tips, clean cache, stop reporting, auto play etc. Will the first one stop the buffering issue?

@@dads8253 ah, you use a usb to ethernet adaptor like ugreen maybe it can help with the buffering... you can check some videos on how to use that here on yt...
@@discatv6695 thanks, I will do that. My fire stick never worked well. Ok it worked for about a month, then it just took longer and longer to watch anything, I'm done with it. I see that Nvidia has the most votes in comments, so it's pretty hard to jump in and figure out which direction to go. I'm done with DirecTV, and I've basically narrowed my provider to Hulu+live or UA-cam TV. Still searching for the actual box to purchase. Thanks for taking the time to help a noobie
The Xiaomi is only for wifi? And no hardwired? Nowadays you need to hardwired the devices in order to reach full internet speed and no buffering. I think the Xiaomi should be at number 5 or 10 but not one. You should review the mygica I think those boxes are solid for the price. Mygica 1960 pro Octa Core with a space for a laptop hardrive and the Mygica 495 Pro HDR both are awesome and fast both with an airmouse remote.

I bought 2 Xiaomi Mi 4K Boxs and they work pretty good for the price. I had bought mine on sale so that made them even better!
Mi box s is nice but it’s outdated and costs more than it’s worth. Technically the firestick 4K is a more powerful streaming device and it’s about $10-15 cheaper than the mi box s
We have 5 mi boxes and they’ve served their temporary purpose. Just too many annoying issues with them. We also have 2 Nvidia pro’s and they are by far better quality and no issues (2yrs). Switching out the mi boxes.

there is a difference between certified android tv boxes and android tv boxes running on aosp. for boxes running on aosp, apps will be running like on a mobile device. the interface will not be optimized for tv. and there will be no chromecast options. only nvidia shield and mi box are certified android tv boxes.
the mecool pro L is also certified by google. it runs google TV beautifully. i have one and a shield.
Mi Box S: It recently upgraded from Android 8.1 to Android 9.0 & lost a lot of features the main one being a functioning $70 Google Chromecast Ultra that came pre-installed. Support on the phone & by email is dismal at best.
Believe it or not, there is a lot of units that surpass the shield. X88 king is basically on part with it. But always go with a 4G unit with at least 6 cores or a 8 cores. These units shown in the video are not worth it. Especially that crap stick.

All but shield are glichy at best, have used shield pro and hardly ever have any problems, have had 4 other cheepo boxes and have constantly "worked" on them you get what you pay for!! Shield should be #1

If these Boxes can do HD Audio and 4k HDR, HLG etc then it'll give a run for the money to Blu Ray players, except Having a Blu ray tray.
You forgot to mention a bad point abouto the Xiaomi Mi Box.. it doesn't have any USB 3.0 ports..... Only 2.0 which is not a good thing

My 2018 sheild runs my home. Ok google setup to switch my tv and receiver on. This unit is setup so hard my ..... hurts... and it was placed 4th... I've had so many android boxes in my time and nothing comes close to the sheild nothing.. this guy really needs to do his homework... the sheild is still getting updates.. more than I can say for these small Chinese boxes... sorry but it's the Sheild everytime, I'll now go back to playing fortnight... try that on your other little back street boxes....

We have the 2 Nvidia pro and 5 mi boxes. Hands down the Nvidia is much better than the mi. All 5 mi boxes have annoying issues like, unresponsive (pull power), poor wifi antenna, remotes don’t stay paired and randomly closes applications.
Prices? Thats all I care about lol

Not at all, after having 3 different kinds all costing around the 60 quid mark it's my experience that they are total shit. Slow, lagging, freezing and bloody unreliable with all 3 failing inside 3 months
Fire stick stop working in a year or less. I gave up on them.

All these boxes have a garbage menu system, Only the Tanix TX92 has the best menu and sub system, too bad it didnt make your list, Anything passed andriod 7.1.2 is also garbage you can't auto side anything in newer andriods 8+9 etc
If you don't like the layout for android tv then download a custom launcher so you can see all the apps that have been hidden or just change the look of it. Pretty simple.

Dreamlink is the only one with the least of hardware problems of the whole list and it didn't make the list?!?!?! ohh and the Nvidia is an overpriced box, way overpriced, you can find same specs elsewhere cheaper but again the Dreamlink is the easiest and most reliable box on the market, don't @ me...it just is and still is 2019 Dreamlink T2 or even T3
