Are you guys in sydney based? The rods and reels, where did you get them from, they look pretty strong. I'm looking to buy an electric reel. We want to go out to the shelf, any suggestions for a potential first timer, you guys look pretty experienced.
We are fishing out of Queensland, the electric reels are Miya Epoch from Japan, the Rods are 15-24kg, one is a Shakespeare game rod convert to bent butt and other is Shimano Tiagra Bent Butt, any Bent Butt rod will work good.
We only made 2 drops with the Jig, no hits, didn’t lose it, we had to fish with only 1 rod as the weather was not good drifting at 3 knots, weather got bad after second cod, will try the jig again next time with better weather.
