British humour is the best, the way with words is such an art, is the nonchalance expressions and words we seldom here. I laughed so much thank you for uploading.
42:40 - This scene has to be one of the most heart wrenching and then the most heart warming scene in any sitcom. Where sadness turns to joy, in the talent of the writing of David Renwick and the direction of Susan Belbin. You really feel sorry for the little boy and then burst out in tears of happiness.
12:16 I have Bad Taste on DVD, Turner, and Hooch, and at 12:38 top left corner Society, I saw it when I was about 11, even today as an adult still chills me to the core.
I've been trying to find a video with Cilla Black laughing so I can hear what it sounded like. Victor was complaining and compared it to Cilla Black's laugh. I can see her laughing in a video but I can't hear anything unusual, I must not have the right one.
It was Patrick and Pippas fault, they should have told Margaret or Victor they were having something valuable delivered to thier house. Also Victor and Margaret should have told the truth and not tried to cover it up. Honest mistake.
the whole episode would have been so much more funny, if only they had done that. Ho ho ho, that was a sensible choice, i would have gone. That would have been a disaster if victor had drank that expensive wine and then was afraid to admit it, and covered it up. i would have thought few, that was a close call. Chuckle, chuckle. ha ha ha
Voted down due to item #5 as below: Things which make me automatically down-vote UA-cam videos: 1) When the "video" contains no actual moving video footage, but is merely a series of still slideshow images, which may or may not be accompanied by an irritating soundtrack. UA-cam is for videos. If you want to post still images, go to one of the photo-sharing websites. 2) When the narration is done in a creepy, robotic, unnatural voice. There is no excuse for this. Just use a microphone and record your lines in natural speech. Even if English isn't your first language, that doesn't matter. I'd far rather hear English in a natural foreign accent than in robot-speech. If you have a disability rendering you incapable of speech altogether, I sympathise: but then get a friend to narrate for you. 3) When people record themselves talking to the camera, but they can't be bothered to learn their lines properly: they splice little sections of speech together in JUMP CUTS. These are incredibly jarring, and insulting to the viewer. If you mess up your lines, then you should start again from the beginning and try again, until you are capable of remembering what you want to say, and delivering it in one take. If you mumble just one or two words, or say "uhh" and "umm" a couple of times, that doesn't matter. We viewers can forgive that, because it's how normal people talk anyway. But what I don't forgive is when someone has recorded themselves speaking, and then in the MIDDLE OF A DAMN SENTENCE there's a jarring jump cut. If you're totally incapable of learning lines, use an autocue/teleprompter. 4) When people BEG viewers to "like and subscribe" - at the BEGINNING of their video, even before they have shown any content. Show some respect for your viewers. We are not morons. If you upload good-quality videos, we will "like". If you continue to upload consistently high-quality videos, we will subscribe. But we won't mindlessly obey your instructions to subscribe just because you say so, and even before we've even watched your video in order to decide whether or not we like it. 5) When people want to upload copyrighted content, and then attempt to bypass bot detectors by screwing up the picture. Examples include, from least bad to most bad: flipping the screen on the Y axis so that everything appears mirrored; zooming in so that the top/bottom of the original video is cropped off; and using that shitty "looks like you're in a cinema" padding around the edges, so that the actual video has been shrunk to a tiny, unwatchable section of the screen, with no opportunity for the viewer to make the picture fit the screen (because the "cinema" background is actually part of the video). These all look shit, and make the video unwatchable. Either upload the video properly, OR - if it's a copyrighted video which would get removed - then DON'T BOTHER. When I want to look for a video, I want to find valid, watchable results - or none at all, if it's simply not available due to copyright issues. These content-obscuring techniques only serve to pollute my search results with unwatchable crap, therefore making it much more difficult to actually determine whether the real video is available or not. If the video contains anything as listed above, that's an automatic DOWN vote. I encourage people to copy and save this text, to be able to paste it onto videos which break these rules. Let's educate the internet together, and make UA-cam a better place.
Good gracious and far to many Gnome affairs Mr grumpy Victor Melvine. Would you like me to mess you up with a couple of Valium in a fairy cakes A.K.A. mince pie and pure Comedy.

With the state of U.K. nowadays, it wouldn’t surprise me if there were many more Victor Meldrews about
I can sometimes understand how he feels
"Cilla Black! A fate worse than death"
"She's got a very infectious laugh"
"So has a hyena with anthrax!"
Gets me every time.

The ending of this put a huge smile on my face
Mad to think I was 10 when I watched this on the TV. Timeless comedy.
Victor and Margaret Richard wilson and annette crosbie are both in there eighties
Victor's the king of sarcasm! 👑 🤔
So, to fit in with the shows ageist agenda, he was clearly meant to be a miserable old sod
OMG - the Garden Gnomes = bawhahahahahahahaha "it's like sleeping in Sleeping in Snow Whites cottage" xoxoxo
Great to see Victor on the "big screen"!
PS. I wouldn't mind a Valium mashed up in a mince pie🤭
The actor who played Rev Coaker, Geoffrey Chater often played vicars. He turns 100 on the 23rd March!, the oldest living actor to appear in OFITG!
Is he still kicking?
@@SamuelBlack84 He died in October, last year aged 100.
@@davidirving9242 He had good innings
If your going to have something delivered to a neighbour, at least tell them before hand.
Exactly
❤❤❤❤❤ love the program s
Thanks for upload
Thank you. This episode is not on my DVDs or on Britbox.
Which series has the episode with the haunted caravan?
Apparently this episode was a Christmas special episide. It's one if my favorites and I really wish it was included.
Britbox no longer has One Foot In The Grave
That video rental scene....Those were the days!....Pound of flesh on top of the other dozen requirements to borrow a (at best) $40 tape.
Brilliant. 👍👏
Imagine what Victor would think about the Kardashians or Katie price or even Boris Johnson lol
he would think that they were overrated idiots who are well past their sell by date
Probably think Boris is a complete edgit
What would he think of covid and isolation?
Don't know what Victor would have made of the pandemic
He would have driven Margaret mad with the isolation
Perhaps the BBC would have made yet another weird, dark and unreal situation?
Enn Reitel who played Starkey was the voice of Doc Croc on the kids show "Round the bend"
Did you know Enn Reitel was one of two actors John Sullivan wanted to play Del Boy in Only fools and horses

Worse than when you were assimilated by the Borg?
"Are you sure it wasn't you?"
"OH, FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!"
Can I get the picture bigger?
looks like you got a tree in the house after all then mr meldrew LOL
31:30 was just the best 😂😂😂

That would make a shit situation COMEDY episode then , wouldn't it ??????

@@whatshisname3304 I don't drink, so it would just sit in my kitchen for days
love it . I would have said the wine must have been stolen off front. Why does Margaret always put all blame on Victor !?
Or just replace it with another wine and hope they can’t tell the difference in taste
@@ANDCFC95 indeed filling it with fizzy soda lol
I want to know what 1924 vintage French wine worth over £800 (well over 1K now given inflation and its age, rarity and quality) tastes like
Why is this not available on BritBox or BBC iPlayer?? I'm guessing it is because of the gun at the end????
Perhaps it is something to do with the shows most weird and dark undertones?
12:00 batman 1989 theme
I don't bloody believe it can you believe this Margaret this is absolutely bloody unbelievable I'll complain about it absolutely unbelievable 🤣
okok
Very funny tv series
Love the. Line. It's. Living in. Snow. Whites. Coffin.
He actually said Snow White's cottage, not coffin.
