Top Gun: Maverick -
After more than 30 years of service as one of the Navy's top aviators, Pete "Maverick" Mitchell is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. Training a detachment of graduates for a special assignment, Maverick must confront the ghosts of his past and his deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who choose to fly it. - Розваги
Let’s just take a moment to recognize the fact that Tom Cruise flew his own P-51D Mustang in the ending of the movie
So sick that he has one with a cool ass livery too!
@@brosnshows You guys also overlooked that Penny Benjamin (Jennifer Connelly's character) is referenced in the first Top Gun twice, she is the admiral's daughter that Maverick first got in trouble with
Interesting fact the voice on mission control is a Naval Petty Officer who was training an actress to speak her lines. Cruise heard her and used her instead, saying young Petty Officer had the exact voice he wanted.
Hahaha that’s amazing I love that! Hopefully she gets a royalty check!
Sounds typical Tom Cruise touch. Fair play to him. Also a serving PO would have the patter down bang on and not need any training. That would make for more realism.
That's cool... But kinda sucks for the actress
This movie is freaking epic. Tom Cruise is one of the last blockbuster stars left.
And he puts in the absolute best performances
A Naval captain is the rank just below admiral... it's not like an army captain.
But didn’t they say he was super low rank for his age?
@@brosnshows Each rank takes longer than the last to achieve so considering his 30+ years of service he should be a couple of ranks higher, yes. But captain in the navy is a very high rank. They command ships, carriers and entire bases. That he's a captain and still active as a pilot almost never happens. They're jabbing more at his lack of ambition than at his rank.
@@Linerunner99 ahhhh that makes sense. I know nothing about military rank so this was helpful man thank you
@brosnshows
MOS (which job you have in the Millitary) can be a factor too. The Navy has a much different promotion system than the other branches.
Mav internationally does things to avoid promotion because he knows he belongs in the air. If he got promoted to Rear Admiral(Lower half, or 1 star), the Navy would ground him because admirals are too valuable to risk in the air. As a result, he would have had his wings clipped and been given a desk job.
"C'mon Mav! Do some of that pilot sh*t!"
Goose 1986
Rooster 2022
Like Father, Like Son
Lmaoooo 😂😂 FR though
The 2 things i love the most about this movie are the practical effects and the fact that Val was in it. 10/10
So freaking good
This movie's release date was set back about three times...and Cruise, bless his little heart, INSISTED it be released in theaters well before on any other way.
I didn’t know that! I’ll have to look more into the details around its release
I really wish they included the thank you from Tom Cruise that played in the beginning in theatres.
WHATTTTT I have to go find this!!!
Great reaction, guys. Btw, Tom Criuse is a pilot and that plane he was working on is his personal plane.
We learned this in the comments and we’re like OF COURSE it was his actual plane lmao so funny. Thanks for the comment friend!
@@brosnshowshowdy
Most people don't realize that Jennifer played Penny Benjamin, the Admirals daughter, Mav went ballistic with her, remember Goose's wife saying that in the first movie?
Yeah she had a quick line about it, some one else reminded us of that!
It wouldn't be Top Gun if it didn't have Maverick buzzing a tower at some point.🤣
Had to do it hahaha
This movie was such an emotional rollercoaster, top tier 49:40
Lots of tears were wiped in this reaction!
As an O-6 (Captain), Maverick is making around $13,000 per month.
As an O-10 (4-Star Admiral), Iceman is making around $17,000 per month
Are the O-6 and O-10 codes for their rank?
@@brosnshows It's their pay grades, which is based solely on rank, so pretty much. Officers are graded O-1 through O-10, and non-officers are graded E-1 through E-9. Although it's typically one pay grade per rank, there are some exceptions. In the Army, for example, Specialists and Corporals are both paid E-4 pay even though a Corporal is higher rank. Likewise, a Master Sergeant and a First Sergeant are both paid E-8. I think the Navy has a few overlapping ones as well, but I'm much less familiar with those.
@@NikkiTaLance True, but Master Sergeant and First Sergeant really don’t overlap. The are both E-8 pay grade, but perform different roles, typically a First Sergeant has more Authority because they generally fill the billet of the Senior NCO of a company. A Master Sergeant is can be a Brigade level section NCO and is generally a Subject Matter Expert in their respective field. A Master Sergeant can also fill a First Sergeant billet as well, though extremely rare.
@@jamesmarciel5237 I never once said they perform the same roles, only that they both recieve E-8 pay.
I had tears streaming down my face in the theater when the F-14 rolled out. Seeing the Cat back in action was one of my favorite movie moments ever. Though all the F-14s were grounded in 2006, the production team pulled one from a museum (BuNo 159631) and refurbished her enough to make the hydraulics work. She was towed around the airfield for the ground scenes, with the dolly CGI'd out and the engines CGI'd in. Incredibly well done scene. Also - the F-14 can be seen on display at the Gillespie Annex of the San Diego Air & Space Museum.
WOAH!!!! That’s amazing, so many sick facts about this movies production, that’s a great one! Thanks for watching
@@brosnshows One other thing - the "back plate" for the carrier cat-shot is just a jet-blast deflector (JBD). It redirects the thrust up and away from the deck so it doesn't interfere with other aircraft or crews. It doesn't assist with the takeoff. That's all up to the steam catapult on board which literally shoots the jets off the deck.
for anyone who didn't know.. The whole point of the darkstar project in the film was to test and develop the technologies needed for hypersonic aircraft. The aircraft itself was a test bed with all these innovations. The plane was never meant to carry any weapons or intelligence gathering kit.. it was just a test bed to see if its possible to reach the speeds. get the data as its real world. and then take it from there.
When Tom is on the bike and when he buzzes the tower, is it possible to NOT hum the Anthem? I can’t do it!😂
IMPOSSIBLE Hahaha
Iceman is not a commander. He is the commander of the Pacific naval fleets but he is the rank of admiral. And I'm pretty sure he's a three-star. Also the reason why Maverick is still a captain is because he still wants to fly Jets and not be a desk jockey. Once you become an admiral you don't fly anymore.
Ahhhh heard chef
Yup Maverick addresses Ice as "Admiral" when he walks in the room. At least O-10 pay grade.
My husband and I are 80’s kids so we were among some of the most excited to finally get to see this. The anticipation was huge and it had us on the literal edge of our seats from start to finish.
They need to follow this movie’s success and go back to the awesome way movies used to be done like they did here. The years of soulless, heartless bad writing and nothing but green screen crap as far as the eye could see has left a lot of movie lovers exhausted and hopeless for anything good anymore. I won’t even get into the obvious ham fisted agenda pushing (shoving really) that ruins every current movie or this comment would be twice as long.
This movie was well worth the wait and was even better than we anticipated. We absolutely loved it. It’s one of those great ones that leave you excited to immediately rewatch it.
Fun reaction video. It got a little tough with so much yelling and simultaneous talking/laughing over all the dialogue but I guess it’s hard to hold back the excitement sometimes. I’d bet you all missed at least 1/3 of the amazing dialogue and explanations if not more. You should definitely give this one a rewatch and you’ll like it even more after really hearing everything. The sound design alone is out of this world and worth a rewatch.
23:07 Maverick is NOT a “Full Bird” Colonel, he is a Captain. Naval rank structure is different from the rank structure of the Army, Air Force and Marines. A Colonel in the Army/Air Force/Marines is a pay grade of O-6 which is the rank of Captain in the Navy. A Captain in the Army/Air Force/Marines is a pay grade of O-3, which is a Lieutenant in the Navy.
However, the confusion is understandable as the insignia for O-6 pay grade is a silver eagle no matter which branch of the military the officer is in. Just as the insignia for the O-3 pay grade is two vertical silver bars in all branches.
Great reaction guys! You should definitely do more movie reactions! Just some Top Gun: Maverick trivia for you... Penny Benjamin is a character from the first movie. She was mentioned twice, once by Goose and once by Goose's wife Carole, but she was never seen. She's an Admiral's daughter that Maverick had a hot fling with, initially, but then turned into an on-again-off-again thing for 30 years... until Maverick shows up at her bar!
The baby blue vintage Broncho that Rooster drives up to the bar, at the beginning of the movie, actually belongs to Miles Teller! The P-51 Mustang that Maverick & Penny fly in, at the end of the movie, is really Tom Cruise's plane! Now, I don't know if he keeps an airstream in the hangar... but it would make for an awesome man cave!!!
The actors that played the pilots were so impressive to me... Tom put them through 4 months of flight training so that by the time they got in the F-18s, they could handle it. The Navy also had its requirements. The actors had to go through water emergency training and pass the Navy's test for it, or they couldn't fly in the jets. They had to be prepared if there was an emergency during a flight. The toughest part was the stress on their bodies while flying in the F-18s. Their reaction to pulling Gs is 100% real! During the flight training, the actual Top Gun Pilots had a bet going on whether or not all the actors would make it through to the end. The pilots lost because not one dropped out!
My father is a pilot, so I grew up around aviation. I loved this movie so much! My father, who NEVER watches a movie more than once, saw it in the theater 3 times and has watched it dozens of times since! Tom told the actors, making a sequel to Top Gun, is like trying to hit a bullet with a bullet... I'd say they nailed it! ✈
Hi! Thank you so much for the details!!! I’m even more impressed knowing that’s miles Bronco and Toms mustang!!! I knew he was a pilot but that’s so crazy!!!
I knew their flight training was serious but that’s even more intense than I thought it was! I’m so impressed the actors won that bet, certainly was an experience of a lifetime for them.
My uncle flies small planes, my grandpa was in the air force and flew fighter jets and my god father was actually a mustang pilot long ago!! I didn’t grow up too close to aviation but more so pilots I guess haha Thanks for sharing with us it means an incredible amount, this was my favorite movie I’ve seen this year and I cried so hard hahah I’m glad your dad found one he can watch over and over again!! Thanks for commenting we appreciate you stopping by our channel!!!
I’m glad they took the leap and committed to the Tom Cruise intensity that was needed to execute this film as flawlessly as they did!!!

If you call talking through the whole reaction great then yes.....But not
@@prs149 if we were silent the whole time it wouldn’t be a reaction it would be watching a movie lmao
@@brosnshowsy’all don’t need to be silent, but y’all do talk A LOT. To the point that you miss stuff that characters are saying. Exposition that explains why something needs to be done in the movie. Y’all talked over a major portion (more than half) of the reason Maverick pulled Roosters application to the Naval Academy. You had questions late in the movie that were explained earlier in the movie, like why drones couldn’t be used for the mission.
You don’t need to take a vow of silence for the reaction, but maybe a little moderation of the talking over the movie might be needed to enjoy and understand the movie better, and thereby provide a better product for your subscribers and viewers.
@@jamesmarciel5237 we def learned from our first couple movies, I think we got much better as time has gone on
I don’t know if you guys know (haven’t finished the video yet) but Val Kilmer actually has throat cancer and can no longer speak. Cruise convinced Kilmer to come back for this movie and his son (who sounds a LOT like him) dubbed over his lines. Thinking about it always makes me tear up a bit lol
Also it’s not hard to guess what country they went to (assuming it’s a real one) because the only country still operating F-14s today is Iran.
32:36 'Commander' is not Iceman's rank-- it's his position. He's an Admiral (not Vice Admiral, not Rear Admiral, but a full-fledged Admiral at four stars) and his position as such is the Commander of the entire Pacific Fleet.
Ahhhh this actually was very helpful, starting to piece this together a lot better from helpful comments like this! Thanks for watching!
Nice reaction guys. In the bar scene, all the stuff Penny did to Maverick I fully believe was meant as a vexing. There's no way that his credit card declined. Dude's been military for 35+ years, lives in an hangar & owns a P-51 Mustang plane. No way, he's def got funds. She's an old gf who was probably still a little salty & wanted to poke the bear.
YOO THIS IS SUCH A GREAT POINT hahaha thanks for watching!!
@thommyjavobs8921. ACTUALLY The fact that he bought a P-51 Mustang on military pay might be the reason his card was declined. Those things are over 4 million dollars. The simple fact that the character owns one is the ludicrous part. I’ve heard Naval pilots reacting to the movie laugh at that absurdity and say Cruise must’ve wanted to “write-off” his personal plane by squeezing it into this movie somewhere. Lol
@@frankiek2269 oh my god I can totally see Tom cruise pulling some shit like that as a write off 🤣🤣🤣
@frankiek2269 keep in mind that naval & air force pilots are overall pretty judgmental on aerial ( jet & plane) movies. They prey on nitpicking everything they can & are slim to compliments.
May have been a case of Maverick neglecting to inform the bank he was travelling and they flagged the charge as suspicious activity.
Even if he explained that to Penny, she still wouldn't have run the card again-- to playfully vex him, as you said.
You guys got it wrong. The first (single) jet would drop laser guided bombs, while the WZZO ("Wizzo") in the second following plane would paint the target with laser. The second Pair (with Rooster) had the laser malfunction ("dead-eye") so Rooster had to drop the bombs without the guidance. Think Luke shooting the ventilation port without the guidance computer in Star Wars.
Hey thanks for the correction! Totally makes sense. Thanks for watching!!
@@brosnshows LOL, Now I made a mistake - it's not a "WZZO" but "WSO" - a Weapons System Officer (like Bob). It is pronounced "Wizzo."
Good reaction !! As a retired Navy guy, you always take out the Air capability of the enemy, the SAM's are diffucult to find since many of adversaries utilize mobile platforms (trucks, etc) but Satelites reveal the airstrips pretty easy. Have to disagree on one thing though...Behind enemy lines was bad....🙂
Hey we appreciate it!! And I (Hunter) personally haven’t seen Behind Enemy Lines so I can’t comment to that! What’s your favorite military movie?
@brosnshows Glory. As an African American who served, it fills me with pride. Reflecting on where we were as people were and what we've become as a nation.
@@ronaldjackson2290 hell yeah man thank you for your service and thanks for bein part of the BNS family 🤍
Great reaction guys. Side note: If you want a good laugh watch from 5:11 to 5:13 of this video. The overlay of the movie on top of Christian’s crotch created an unintentionally funny combo.
YO IM DYING ABOUT THIS HAHAHAHAHAHA
Oh my god just saw it 🤣🤣🤣

Yo LOL!!!
Very fun reaction per usual! And great that you're dipping your toes into movies too ^^

Goggles forgot Admiral Caine was still there when he blurted out " Put that in your Pentagon budget!"😂😂😂😂😂

45:26 Maverick is flying an F/A-18E Super Hornet. The “E” version is the single seat version The Super Hornet is 60 ft long by 44 ft wide. It is physically larger than the older F/A-18A (single seat), F/A-18B (two seater), F/A-18C (single) and F/A-18D (Dual). The A, B, C & D versions are the actual “Hornet” while the E (single seat) and F (dual seat) is a completely different jet, hence the name of “Super Hornet”
Mach 10 is ten times the speed of sound. Almost inconceivable.
Shoutout to the Mustang with the Red Tail flap.
So sick
Wouldn’t continually showing flashbacks of Goose be unnecessary fan service? That and spending time on Mavericks past mentioned incidents would kill the pacing and mood of the film.
Totally agree after watching again, definitely would have loved to see a little bit of his active duty action if it fit the pacing though
Darkstar is the son of Blackbird. average commander salary is 133,000 yr.
30:57 They cannot use a drone strike as the target location is GPS blocked, as they mentioned earlier in the movie when Maverick first reported to Cyclone and Warlock. This is also the reason they can’t use the F-35 and the Navy doesn’t use the F-22.
Those 3 platforms require GPS for the armaments they employ.
These guys are so fun to watch, loved your reaction
Thank you dude! Glad you like hanging with us and hope to see you in more future videos! 🙏🏻
Admiral is 0-10 pay scale
Basic Pay:
$17,675.10 / month($212,101.20 / year)
your final take home pay will also include allowances and bonuses such as BAH, BAS, hazard pay, and sea pay, which can vary between the services.
Next movie, he and Jennifer Connelly will do cameos, as Rear Admiral Pete Mitchell, retired, and his wife, Penny Mitchell , where Maverick is a test pilot. For Gruman or Skunk works, who will advise Rooster.
I'm thinking all group reactions talk over a lot of their films. And, so it goes.
Yeah we’re trying to find a better balance as we go, intent is to get a controller and be able to pause and react and talk a bit and keep going. Just trying to get better every video!
To be honest.. I am so proud of US Sailors, past and present.. I actually found very few comments from military folks through all channels and platforms on this movie..and I know for a fact, it’s because of discipline!!
Our boy Anthony is also a veteran! Happy Fourth of July!
That plane in the end is Tom Cruise real plane. Wouldn't be surprised if that's his hanger as well. Glad this channel popped up on my feed.
Ooooo didnt know that! Makes sense though.. wouldn’t surprise me if that’s his hanger too tbh 🤣 and hey man we’re glad it did too! Welcome to the fam!
Imagine getting on a commercial flight, and right before take off, Tom Cruise walks on board and introduces himself as the guest pilot...
I’d be so excited hahahah
@@brosnshows It would be hilarious for a "candid camera" type of show, just pranking people and getting their reactions. Pilot comes over the intercom, "We're gonna have a guest pilot," and Tom Cruise walks up from the back of the plane, without a word, right into the cockpit. Pilot's like, "We might all want to buckle up, it's Tom Cruise. We'll all get there safe in one piece, but it'll be the scariest shit of your life," and then just drop the plane fifty feet and increase speed ever so slightly just to screw with people. while climbing and decelerating as subtly as possible.
he dont need a back plate if he can get the f-14 to 120 mph, then he has enough speed to lift off
I loved that scene, but hard to believe he got to 120 bouncing around like that *suspends disbelief* but it was awesome, such a cool ending
Ice Man is NOT a "Commander" he is an "Admiral" who is in "Command" of the entire Pacific Fleet. An "Admiral" gets paid just under $17,000.00 / month or about $203k/year.
The NASA/USAF X-15 is the fastest fighter jet ever produced. It reached record top speed of Mach 6.72 or 4,520 mph, which is more than five times the speed of sound.
Mach 10 speed has never been achieved by a manned aircraft, though, so it has never been tested. Mach 10 has, however, been achieved by a spacecraft - on November 16, 2004, NASA launched the X-43A, an air-breathing hypersonic vehicle, and was able to reach real Mach 10 while being pushed into the atmosphere.
Thats some serious knowledge where do you learn all that? In aviation?
@@brosnshows you had questions I search for answers it's what I do... lol
The X-15 is neither a fighter, nor jet. It was an experimental rocket plane dropped from the wing of a B-52 bomber.
'Why can't they do a drone strike?' Mention was made of GPS jamming...
Hahaha we were just throwing darts out, but yeah they wouldn’t have made it that far
The entire motorcycle shot at the beginning was just showing Maverick going from one side of his house to the other. (I'm kidding, it's just funny that the building he pulled out of was the same kind of building he pulled into.)
LMAO I just realized this
All of these scenes from inside the fighter jets were while the planes were actually be flown -- no studio tricks.
Also, if this movie ever make an encore appearance in the theaters, gonsee it on the big screen. It's insane.
Yes we’ve heard! The actors training was legit. If they ever run this back in theaters I will 100% go see it I’m sure it was amazing on the big screen
I'm pretty sure that "Danger Zone" was specifically written for Top Gun.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danger_Zone_(song)
Top Gun Maverick is one of Tom Cruise's best films. My favorite Tom Cruise movie is "The Last Samurai". This movie is on the same level as Top Gun Maverick. If you haven't seen it, or haven't seen it in a while, watch it again! Thanks Guys!
Oh man, the last samurai was so good. Definitely up there with some of his best work. I’ll ask the guys if they have all seen it! Thanks for the comment Robert!!🙏🏻
Could you possibly talk over the clips any more? ..LOL I would hate to be in a theater with you guys there.
Lmao it’s a reaction brother, but we get it, this was done in June and we have learned ALOT since then, thanks for stopping by, hope you check out the rest of our videos
'Such a good song.' Right from Bruckheimer's _CSI: Miami_.
Was it won’t get fooled again? Couldn’t find the time stamp, but seriously such a good song
The only knock on this movie is that they didn't play Danger Zone the second they took off in that F-14. That was criminal.
Should’ve done the mighty wings instrumental honestly. A shame it didn’t return for this movie.
Recognize Bill Pullman’s son?
“Bob” (Lewis Pullman).

BTW, Lockheed helped the Film crew build the “Dark Star” (right look, proportions, etc) …
When this mock-up was parked in the southern California desert (Edwards?)
Chinese intelligence took photo (from space) … freaked out that it was “new” real USA plane.
I didn’t realize that was bill pullmans son! So cool. And I knew Lockheed helped but damn very interesting that Chinese intelligible caught that haha
I enjoyed this great movie reaction. Felt like I was right there with you guys. Awesome! Please add the 2000 movie, "Thirteen Days" to your watch list. It's about the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis and it's a classic. Bruce Greenwood's portrayal of President Kennedy is dope.
Oh hell yeah none of us have seen that!
The space shuttle reentered at Mach 25
Wonder what that feels like haha
In addition to basic pay, Commanders may receive additional pay allowances for housing and food, as well as special incentive pay for hostile fire and dangerous duties. Including the most common pay allowances, the average total compensation for a Commander may range from $101,625.07 to $152,889.07 per year as of 2023.
So not enough for an airport hanger and a plane 🤣
Just scrolled a few responses, so if somebody already answered these sorry. Mach is the unit of speed based on the speed of sound. Mach 1 is one times the speed of sound Mach 2 is two times, etc. Mach 1 is generally about 750 miles an hour. Fastest man alive is just some Hollywood speak, but it’s more of a comparison based on an airplane versus a spaceship. In orbit, the space shuttle is more than two times faster than Mach 10. Probably just a personal pet peeve but if all of you guys can’t set aside your phone during reactions, it takes a lot of fun out of the reaction. If you could try to avoid some of the talking over the movie dialogue, you and everybody else would enjoy the movie and reaction more. Perhaps you wouldn’t have caught it anyway, but there were a couple of lines that were carried over from the original movie that you guys didn’t react to at all because seemingly you couldn’t hear them because you talked over them.
@11:40 The "Darkstar" aircraft in the movie is loosely based on the rumored successor to the SR-71 Blackbird spy aircraft. The SR-71 was at one time the fastest and highest flying aircraft in the world and was used to overfly the Soviet Union and photograph military locations, including ICBM sites. The point of the extreme altitude and speed was to be able to essentially outfly existing anti-aircraft missile systems similarly to the U-2 spy aircraft. At least one U-2 was shot down (piloted by Gary Powers) by the Soviets. As far as we know, no Blackbird was ever shot down. The point of the "Darkstar" (in reality the rumored SR-72) would be the same to fly so high and so fast that no missile could ever reach or catch up to the aircraft.
@32:55 Kazanski's rank isn't commander. He's an Admiral. His TITLE is "Commander of the Pacific Fleet." I'm thinking that's a four star Admiral. That's why the huge house.

If you're referring to being in trouble and having Iceman fix it, I don't think there's any more light shed there.
If you're referring to any trouble Maverick has been in with Jennifer Connolly's character, there IS, but it's less than ten minutes into the first movie.
Right after Cougar quits, when Mr. Strickland is telling Maverick that he's a SLACKER, he mentions an "Admiral's Daughter," and Goose leans over and whispers, "Penny Benjamin?" That's Jennifer Connolly.
She's the "Admiral's Daughter"

@@brosnshows Yeah, I figured so, I just wasn't sure if you guys remembered the Penny Benjamin name drop from Top Gun 1 at that point in this video.
Completely agree Legend is one of my favorite childhood movies; mostly because of Tim Curry as Lord Darkness. Top Gun Maverick is now my favorite Tom Cruise movie!! 🎞️💕 I enjoyed the rewatch with you guys and your reactions. It would be fun to see you react to my favorite Predator films (the original, Predators [2010], and Prey)!

@@brosnshows Heck yeah, so many awesome 80’s films. Willow is another childhood fave, which made me extra happy that they found a way to include Val on this film!
This movie introduced Americans to going to the movies again.
Wish it was playing in theaters by the time I got around to seeing it!
It was kind of skipped in this video, but the part where Hangman is talking about his wingman not keeping up, the audience tends to give him a lot of flack over that. While Hangman is definitely a cocky ass, he was 100% correct in his assessment. They are on a timed mission. It was imperative that his wingman keep up with Hangman. And even as fast as Hangman was going, he himself was still not fast enough. But his wingman was even worse. His wingman lagging that far behind is what is putting the mission and crew in danger, not Hangman. Hangman was also right in pointing out the conflict that Rooster was having with Maverick. Their resentful relationship was an issue that needed to be resolved before they even begun training.
That’s a fair point. If hangman was still too slow when he was going faster than everyone else it is definitely a problem. But building that comradery is also important and his ego could also get them killed. Thanks for the comment dude!
@@brosnshows Very true. Hangman might've been on point, however, his delivery leaves much to be desired. lol
Minority Report, Edge of Tomorrow, Knight and Day.
Minority report is a classic, such a good movie. I feel like EOT is slept on and I’ve never actually seen knight and day!
@@brosnshows Knight and day has kind of a “caper” feel, just lots o fun.

Commander Pacific Fleet is a four-star admiral billet. A four star admiral is capped at about 17000$ a month.
Yeah definitely enough to pay for the mortgage on that sweet ass house. Iceman deserves it, sounds like he had a hell of a career!
Y'all do know Ice is a Vice Admiral, Commander of the Pacific Fleet, right? Just like General Patton was Commander of the 2nd Armored Division...
We are learning how the ranks work, but yeah we knew that was iceman’s rank but didn’t know that was comparable to Patton
I’m ½ way thru the reaction and I’m digging it so far! I think I picked the perfect one to discover your channel on 👍🏾. I’ve read through some of the negative comments on here and to be fair I don’t think they’re accurate. I can still see the washed out video well enough and I’m enjoying your guys commentary! (maybe just be careful to not step on the important plot points) but I totally understand your channel is new and you’re working on things and figuring it all out. I’m excited to see you guys grow. I watch WAYYYYY too much UA-cam reaction videos 😅, but I love this stuff. So if u don’t mind a little feedback from me, the only thing I wanted changed was the volume of the movie when u guys WERENT talking. I wish u had the movie volume on ur same individual microphone volume level so we can hear what’s being said in the film in between conversation. That’s really my only criticism. And you could probably cut ur reactions down to 39-49mins if you’re worried about Censor strikes! If u want some recommendations; full film reaction channels I like: Holden Hardmen, Popcorn In Bed, The Perfect Mix, Natalie Gold. U can see some of their techniques 🙌🏾 ⚡️
Dude thank you so much for your comment! Love hearing feedback like this. Super glad you stumbled across the channel! And thank you, it can definitely be disheartening to see certain comments but just like you said we’re learning and trying to get better! We make roomie mistakes and move on! But glad to have you as part of the fam and hope to chat more with you in future videos!
A Navy Captain(Maverick's rank) is essentially the equivalent of an Army Colonel. If he wasn't an aviator he could be in command of a Navy destroyer. The best example is Star Trek because they use navy ranks for their ships. Captain(Colonel) Kirk, Lieutenant Commander(Major) Spock, Lieutenant(Captain) Sulu etc.
Ah man I feel like because you brought up Star Trek you’d be a good person to ask. How is the new series on Paramount +?
I'm afraid I don't know, I haven't watched the latest series.
I'm just a devout re-run watcher lol.
no need to co-ordinate with other air craft.. all military bases have a no fly zone that only their craft can fly through
Must have been a huge one to go Mach-10
BOB is bill Pullman’s son
3:01 yes they had that in the first one. They had to add “women” to the card though cause since the first one came out women have been able to be pilots. 4:46 for the pencil pushers that have other plans for the money if you miss the mark by in this case Mach .09 they will scrap it. Technically the project wasn’t scrapped yet. The big boss hadn’t been there to shut it down. 8:34 the fastest on record is Mach 6.72 by the X-15 fighter jet. 9:54 a jet that fast could make it easy to drop bombs without detection. The diner scene where he asks where he is the kid should’ve said “welcome”. 11:53 I think though if you go above captain you can’t fly missions anymore so he would want to stay where he could fly. 15:10 I love the tension between Cyclone & Maverick cause Maverick cares about the pilots and bringing them home and Cyclone is fine with a suicide mission. 16:34 not many people realized that Jennifer Connely’s character was mentioned as a love interest of Maverick’s in the first one. 32:46 a lot of higher ranking brass get houses as part of their salary. 39:11 did Penny not think her daughter wouldn’t recognize Mavericks motorcycle? 45:36 not only did he do the flight in but he aimed the missile, fired it and flew out. He did the job of three pilots. 46:42 plus he figures he might be able to get rid of Maverick once and for all. 50:35 the single jets are for the missiles and the doubles are to mark the target. 1:08:06 technically someone did die. Iceman died. 1:10:44 that’s Tom Cruise’s actual plane.
Damn this kind of comment makes me happy - hung out with us through this whole thing so gotta give you thanks for that 🙏🏻 any movies you’d recommend us to watch? You seem very knowledgeable and attentive, probably have some good suggestions
Remember: Homies never leave homies behind 💪 😤 🫡
NEVER 💪🏼💪🏼
only a captain?.. a navy captain is an o-6 “colonel in the army or air force”.. next promotion makes him a. admiral (general)
Yeah definitely got educated on how that works after watching the movie haha
80% talking and jokes, 20% reaction .....
This is one of our oldest movie reactions, it might be THE oldest. We get better if you watch some newer stuff 🙏🏻
Hey guys, the place that they go up against in this movie or Russian SU-57’s and that crazy movie saw can be done
48:45 it is, but it also isnt. Anyone who knows about military aircraft know that the "enemy" is supposed to be Russia or Russia adjacent, because the 5th gen fighters theyre up against are the Sukhoi Su-57 Felons, which are notoriously Russian aircraft. Pretty sure they did the same in the first movie, the aircrafts themselves were actually F-5 Skoshi Tigers, but were fictiously called MiG-28s, MiGs being another famously Russian aircraft manufacturer.
Subscribed❤Best Reaction to this Movie, Love how Excited and Invested y'all were. My saying every time I've watched this or a reaction to it is You're a Dick Jon Hamm lol I also love how Warlock always believed in Maverick. Just a Phenomenal Movie❤ Oh and Bob is played by Lewis Pullman Bill Pullman's son❤
Thank you!!! he was such a dick🤣 appreciate the comment bro thanks so much
Sorry, started watching and after 1 minute decided that you 3 fill the whole screen and the tiny little movie is also so obscured.... I can't. BTW, if there was ever an action movie that should be watched in the theater, it's this movie. Even Tom Cruise said, this movie was never intended to be streamed on a laptop or on a tv set at home (not verbatim). He said, get out to the theater and watch this on the BIG screen! ENJOY!! And, by the way, we watched it two times in the theater. Not on our phones and/or a laptop. It was so fantastic guys. You probably missed out. But, if they ever decide to replay it someday, please pay the $8.00 ($12 or $15) and check it out. So, lastly, when I watch a reaction video I usually like to see good reactions, but Top Gun 1 and 2 are too precious to watch any other way. Take care.
Gotta do what you gotta do to pass copyright checks
The space shuttle would re-enter earth’s atmosphere at Mach 26. So yes, people have gone faster, but not in an airplane
Holy shit! Is that the fastest humans have traveled?
@@brosnshows Mach 26 is the fastest humans have travelled in a space craft. Mach 3.5 is the fastest in a jet plane. (SR-71). Officially. Any faster is top secret
Im sure they have, they’re always up to something too secret haha
That is Tom's plane in the end. Cheers.
So cool to learn that! Wonder if it’s his hanger too
One thing seriously NOT realistic is the "call signs". You don't choose a name for yourself and it's something you have earned. Mine was "Crash Test Dummy". Your friends give it to you, and it is usually more of a "ribbing." I woudl recomend something along these same lines. The Movie is a late 1970's early 1980's film - "Airplane."
Good reaction.
We watch you react to our favorite movies. We like to see and hear our favorite parts that make the cut for show. However, it is very hard to watch. When your reactions are 2 to 5 times LOUDER than the parts that you overlay.
We can't hear our favorite parts we want to see. and you react to.
Hope, maybe you can do something about this. Maybe watch and listen to your videos. Without headphones or earbuds. From a different source to see if you understand what I mean. Try to listen to the movie part.
This not meant to be disrespectful to you.
Regards, Rollerball
Thank you! Yeah new channel still figuring out how to make this work correctly. I think if you watch some of our newer stuff youll see an improvement
Mach is sound barrier speed so Mach 9 is 9X the speed of sound
That makes sense
@brosnshows loved the reaction guys :) I did love the response to Hangman at the end :) I have subbed and will stick around for more :)
@@tHeSyKoTiKoNe1992 we appreciate you! Hangman definitely redeemed himself, when push came to shove he was there for the save
Loved this movie hell yeah
Ice was a Admiral (4-Star), and Commander of the Pacific Fleet.
Cyclone is a Vice Admiral (3-Star), and Commander of Naval Air Forces.
Maverick is a Captain (Naval rank equivalent to a Colonel in the other branches of the Armed Services).
Days of thunder was excellent
Thanks for watching! And yes so underrated, such a good movie!!!!
this speed would be neede to intercept ICBMs which go around mach 24, with one of this and a directed energy weapon, you could destroy warheads on terminal phase or at least put them off course, also other types of missiles that are still big does not travel at mach 10, so this planes could take those out as well
Nothing has gone Mach 10 as the friction would cause it to burn up. Asteroids might be doing about that, but it doesn't work out well for them. The over land speed of the Space Shuttles was maybe close to that, but no in the earth's atmosphere. The navy does not have "Cernal" a full bird in the USN = Captain as in "Captain James Kirk of the USS Enterprise (for example).
Legend is great movie.. it never gets brought up...
That movie scared the crap out of me as a kid
I wish I could hear a little bit more of the movie as you guys are watching it but it’s so low. You can barely hear it if it all.
We’re getting better at editing each video and with managing copyright. Our insidious reaction I felt like we did a better job of that if you wanna check that out and let us know!
Guys😂 The reason why he was told to go to Get to my tend to keep the program alive Do you come to the air base It's gonna shut down the main program and start his drone program replacing Pilots of drones. That's the fate of Maverick And future pilots, if we get a sequel, we pilot will be seeing pilots fighting drones.😅😊
I don’t think we’re getting a sequel but I hope we do, even better if it’s about pilots being better than drones
@@brosnshows I know that it's just you guys were talking over the person. I was telling you why they're doing this mission In the movie.
Liked and subbed, but I will say the see through screen with the top gun logo, the absolutely muted volume and the crotch I’m staring at the whole time… points for uniqueness but definitely not my style of movie review. Good luck to you guys hope your channel takes off 💪
We are definitely learning, we will avoid the crotch video placement in the future, we had a really hard time getting this to pass copyright so added the logo, was the only thing I could get to work. Certainly going to improve every video, the last month has been a huge learning phase for us gathering feedback so we can keep improving, thanks for watching hopefully you’ll be here as we grow and get better! We really appreciate the constructive feedback, some people arnt as helpful, so thank you!!
And second note the final part of the movie is just like trench run of star wars new hope, great movie still
It really is haha mixed with behind enemy lines
Sorry i didn't finish your reaction 🙏 .
That’s okay thanks for stopping by at least!
Same opening card, but 'men _and women_'
I noticed that when I watched a second time!
Great movie man.
Yes it was!
this movie alone shows DONT GO WOKE YOU WONT GO BROKE!!!!
What? Lol
What? Lol
