If your too busy/had a crap week, don't worry if you can't upload, i'm sure I speak for most here when i say that we would rather have a happy Lathrix that uploads less than a sad Lathrix that uploads all the time. Loved the vid by the way I love to watch all this sort of stuff!

There's a new decorative Moving light that acts like a mimic in it's movement abilities and I've found you can make it bright and orange and make excellent afterburner on Jets :D

Would love to see some like 200mps laser plane. It would be so hard to counter. Until it hits a mountain.
It would also be hella expensive and eat all of laxtrix’s resources or fuel in 5 minutes. Lasers to me aren’t too effective since the energy usage is so much, but they did update it so it only takes half the amount of energy to get the same strength. Also 200m/s is a lot really you should just look at lightning hoods stuff they destroy any hope of fuel even existing for more than 0.01 seconds.

I think EMP would work great for the interceptor missiles, they are aimed at small craft that probably have no EMP protection

I feel he should've changed the bomber to drop a large missile which is just explosive warheads to completely destroy those marauders
I am so happy! Been looking forward to this for a very long time.
The small jet engine is super good for small fighters, I put 1 on each wing with maximum air intake efficiency and it goes 160 m/s for low fuel cost so i recommend using them :)
Edit: Also doesn't cost much resources.

The bomber flyer combo is pretty good. The bombers crack the hard armor of the larger enemies so when the fighters are done with air superiority, they can deliver their missles into the holes created by the bombers doing damage internally.
All this reminded me of a random war story!
TL:DR Do not bring Air Fore reservists to a war.
During a desert war I found myself in , I was working around the flightline which was segmented by these huge metal bin revetments stacked three high and then filled with sand for the planes and whatnot to be sort of sheltered (I looked for a picture of these imposing structures but could not find any sadly, they were impressive). I worked with 3 squadrons of active duty A-10 troops that trained with the Jet as if we had 5 to 10 mins to live (depending how close to a nuke site you were I suppose) with one reservist squadron which worked one weekend a month and which really had no place in theater honestly, they were so clueless.
It was in this maze of A-10's and high explosives where reservists were begging for T.O.'s (Technical Orders) for the AGM-65, which did not technically exist anywhere in that desert.

In desperation and to shut these reservists up, someone gave them the TGM-65 T.O. (training missile that was an air to ground missile in all but rocket engine and warhead for, you know, training purposes) because that was what was loaded during peacetime training. This TGM-65 T.O. found itself in the hands of a reservist crew chief in the cockpit during the dead of night with his air man on the ground making sure everything was set for flight externally.
Really, the last step of the TGM-65 is to test fire it, because you want to make sure the GNC (guidance and control bits) worked before signing it off for.... training. This though was not training, it was actually a war and so the telephone pole with fins and a glass nose known as the AGM-65 dropped straight to the ground with the explosion of the caps designed to free the missile from its solid fixations upon the wing of the Jet. After a split second the rocket motor fired off, blowing out ear drums, right into this overbuilt steel revetment there to pretty much limit errant explosions like what just happened (we only realized that feature after this whole kerfuffle - something learned from Vietnam evidently).
When we got there all we saw on the other side of the wall was as if a loony tunes mouse had used a can opener to get about 3/4ths of the job done with the shattered nose of the AGM-65 peeking out after the rocket motor did its damnedest to get out of the revetment. On the other side of that wall of course was a bit too much raw explosive power sitting around so the loaders had quick access to the toys they loaded the planes with. There is a reason live munitions generally have a bright red REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT safing pin/flag shackling the fuse.
Needless to say, things could have gone much worse that night. I left the war after a long while with that spent $100k missile still in that wall, because planes were still flying out and blowing up the revetment could wait.
It was thanks to this channel that I got into ftd back in the day, always happy to see another playthrough pop up!

At some point you should have a distraction craft that is covered with external heavy armor then layers of metal inside with lots of empty compartments to take care of Hesh or heat shells and just attracts everything by having tons of AA weapons

Later on in the campaign you should make an anti-capital ship particle cannon that has a massive charge time and can only shoot a single super stream in a straight line.

You should build a ship along the lines of a pre-dreadnought battleship; 2 turrets of heavy main guns for hitting against armored targets, and a ridiculous number of small secondaries to delete small and unarmored vehicles
I really hope people do the journal logs like the previous campaing which were really neat!

A torpedo variant would be cool for the dart. Like maybe a single large missile that that can penetrate heavy armor. I don't really know how viable that would be on a dart but it'd make it more valuable in the long run.
I think it would be interesting to have a ship like the Russian Monitor Novgorod.
Seeing the missile Darts and you mention a bigger plane for the future gave me Fireworks vibes. Who remembers these things? Do you Lathrix? :)

Yay, the campaign starts before my birthday
Satilight with 4 large Rangefinders on a turret, a missile laser designator set to target fleet missiles, and an intra vehicle transmitter so you are literally using satilight targeting for your fleet. Satilight targeted Large missile Silo then becomes a fun possibility. **No Strategic antenna on the targeting satilight to keep cost down.

One cool idea you could try as well is smallish, thump+HE fast dumbfire missiles, cause a stream of cheap but heavy hitting rockets are very fun

Pick either one or don't but making these could really help out with bombing and destroying bases
Hey Lath. I got a perhaps a bit-too-much of a request for you, but first I wanna thank you for popping in my recommendations a few months ago out of nowhere and getting me to play this amazing wonder of a game. I've made some pretty satisfying progress since, figured out a lot of stuff on my own and did some lovely campaigning. But there's a thing I have no clue how to do, and that is tweaking my detection systems so they can track things like Hakes and Squirrels better and I don't have to spend tons of flak in a vain hope for a lucky hit or throw expensive missiles at them. If you could please do a quick rundown on what serttings you are using for what purpose I would be really grateful to you.

I think it would be cool if you made a sort of interceptor thing that is very fast and has maybe two or three larger missiles in the prize and size range of the Penguin.
And also, if it is possible, i think it would be a great idea to add a fuze on the darts missiles so that they dont need to directly hit planes to kill them. If you still want to hit boats and tanks you can set the fuze to only activate over ~100 meters or so.

How about you put unguided missiles on the the darts, give them as much speed and damage as possible but remove any detection and fins. Then have the darts divebomb the enemy to launch them then turn away to reload ?

You could also just use darts and make a variant with larger missiles that can deal with armour a bit better
Against the dwg prop driven stuff is pretty viable and can be very cheap. This is because most of their missiles are dumb fire. Also the dwg have no answer to radar guided weapons. If you want a very nimble missile put a turning thruster on the front end.
I really wish you'd do a jet with an actual jet with missiles and a fixed Advance cannon in the front so it would do strafing runs like an actual jet would or conventional dog fighting with an advanced targeting system and Target prediction which I'm sure would be pretty easy in a small craft that's very nimble lightweight
