Seeing Jamie edited like that is soooo refreshing. Like, I’ve watched literally thousand of hours of him being perfectly in his cooking energy. This is the way to go forward, I wanna see the mess ups.
You can tell Jamie's a funny guy, that peeling onion bit was great :D
I worked on a commercial cooking series, he is a joker. Offered him a can of coke as i had bought some as a treat for my camera crew, turned to me and said 'maaate would love one but then i would get spotted and it wouldn't be good for the old back pocket!! (Where you keep your wallet, don't know if that transfers to Americans!).
It's the bestway of makingthe burgers 😆😅😃😎😆
i really appreciate that he's doing more plant focused meals. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but we all know that veggies and fruit are healthy and it'd be better if we had lots more of them.
Indeed! And for the world!
Yeah he followed the Italian Food Boss trend after I just released a Vegetarian Pasta videorecipe! 🤣🤣🤣
Ciaoooooo from the ITALIAN FOOD BOSS 💪🇮🇹
But youre totally wrong, veggies and fruit actually isnt healthy... look it up... but let me just say toxins, antinutrients and sugar
@@roppanNn lmao april fools is months away dude. are you acting like red meat isn't a class 2 carcinogen?
@@roppanNn haha good joke
I made this today and it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Definately my favourite vegetarian recipe so far.
how long did you put them in the oven for?
@@camillec5249 I left them in for 40-45 mins approximately because 25 mins didn't seem to give them that crispy edge for me.
@@borsikaarday563 thank you so much.
I made it as well, tasted really good. But the burger had no structural integrity at all. Any tips for that?
@@StefanvanderFange I think baking them longer than 25 minutes can really help with additional broiling at the end (couple mins, keep checking). Also make sure to drain your beans very thoroughly. I would rinse them first, then drain and maybe dab with a paper towel. Same with the mushrooms, if you wash them, you can dry them with a paper towel. But if you still find that the patties don't hold together you can add in some breadcrumbs and bake them longer. I guess the key is to get rid of as much moisture as possible for them to hold together. I hope I could help.
I made this burger today with a few substitutes (didn't have rye bread, so just added sourdough). Baked in an airfryer and topped with yogurt, avocado, parsley, and mango chutney. Hoooooly smokes was it delicious! The mango chutney truly made it perfect. I couldn't stop myself at just one!
Love to see him struggle with the red onion and the tomato seed removal. We never get to see that!
Laurence V. I agree! You may be interested in my Vegetarian Pasta, the latest videorecipe I released on my channel! 🤷🏻♂️

@@ItalianFoodBoss Honestly, no one cares about your stupid chanel. Instead of wasting your time spamming everywhere, use it to produce good videos.
Definitely going to try this recipe and check out his book. My go to is the black bean burger from Serious Eats, but the addition of mushrooms to the pattie sounds delicious. I’m not a vegetarian, but over the years I’ve reduced the amount of animal protein I consume to twice a month now. It’s much easier now that we have so many options and ways to make delicious plant based meals at home. With our knowledge on the horrible industrial farming methods and the havoc it places on our environment one can’t turn a blind eye and think there’s nothing we can do about it. It all about making smarter choices and doing what’s best for our world. Thank you Jamie!
If you're down to 2x a month, why not just cut it out? Genuine, not being judgy lol.
Carolina well said.
Save with jamie is a fun book, Jamaican jerk ribs are amazing.
Down to twice a month, you're basically a vegetarian!
I'd recommend reducing other animal products, like milk and cheese too. It's great for your health, ends animal suffering and slows down global warming! :D
@@hannahg8439
I don't really care about animal suffering but there is a risk of cutting animal products out
Such as lack of vitamin D, calcium and more importantly, vitamin B12
B12 is a difficult vitamin to get from plant sources, as well as iron. Iron is more well-absorbed from animal products than plant-based iron version (spinach), so you basically need B12/iron supplements to reduce anaemia risk
I also won't believe it'll reduce global warming to a significant level
Farmers will still graze animals, kill them for meats, and many developing countries love their meats.
Any meat not eaten/sold would count as food waste (a source of global warming gasses too)
The idea of a majority of humans adopting a vegetarian or less animal product diet, is impossible for now
Esp. given milk and eggs are in a lot of products and cheese is popular with pizzas
Overall anyone can have good health with a balanced diet, making sure they get all vitamins/minerals, exercising regularly long-term, and portion size control
Jamie: let’s put a liiitle it of olive oil. Drizzles half the bottle on there. Lets put a liiiitle bit of cheese. puts a giant mob on there 🤣
i so appreciate his focus on plants and fresh produce in 2020. you can live/thrive off of plants! lots of whole food plant based cheese/yogurt options as well :)
Live, yes. Thrive? Hmm.....
@@englishforsrilanka2535 Have you seen evidence that you can't thrive on a plant-based diet? Because there is plenty of evidence that a plant-based diet is ideal.
I just made this for dinner. Holy crow! It was good! It didn't get squished, doesn't break apart, wasn't dry. The key, is to make sure you cook it until you see browning all over. It even LOOKS like beef burger! Thanks JO!
I’m vegetarian and I LOVE cooking and this is so helpful for me and my family as we’re stuck on what we can make that everyone will eat! Thanks Jamie!
charming. love how casual this makes cooking feel.
Love seeing the edits! Shows off Jamie’s awesome personality! Yay for more veg recipes!!!
Nice to see this side of him. Refreshing and much more relatable.
Love watching Jamie cook! One of my favorites!
Plant focused! Never heard that description! That’s perfect! Thanks for the good words and amazing recipes❣️❣️Thanks
Those Black beans burgers are the best veggie burgers I’ve tasted. I replaced the Bread with oats. I also put in some garlic and some bbq 😋
maan 1511 is it good?
I haven’t tried veggie burgers yet
I love you Jamie. Thank you so much for all you've endured in your effort to enlighten the world about the importance of healthy food and food dangers. Just so you know, you are a super hero cook.
I loved every part of this! Thank you Jamie ❣️
Thanks for leaving in the real bits of cooking 🙂 he’s great
ive been watching Jamie Oliver since 1999 The Naked Chef . He is the best chef ive ever come across and has taught me so much more then i already knew. im way better at what i do thanks to him.
I like this. I’m a meat eater but I also want to cut down own eating meat a lot and eat more plant based foods. So I really dig this. I also liked that he eats his meats only in weekends but most of the week, it’s plant based foods only. This routine I love as well and I’ll definitely true this too. Love that idea. Thanks for sharing!
I'm in it for the animals. Thanks for doing vegetarian Jamie. You are so talented. It's fun to watch you work. I'll have to try this one but with vegan mayo and cheese.
Hi. Great to read, that you choose vegan Mayo (Hellmann's vegan Mayo is great für example).
But please consider, that (non-vegan) cheese is dairy and the dairy industry is very cruel for the animals. Do you know the truth behind it?
So happy to see Jamie with vegetarian recipes! I went plant based this year and life has never been more delicious.
Thanks for this recipe. It is so delicious!
this looks so good thank you for the veggie recipes!

I tried your beef burger at your restaurant in Gatwick airport & it is hands down the best I ever had. Your cooking is way too underrated!
Came out delicious!!! Thank you Jamie!!!
I love this recipe! Jamie is always fun to watch. Great knife technique. I'm making this today.
I’m drooling! 🤤 Making this recipe today !
Dope recipe! I opted for a greek yogurt cilantro lime crema in place of the plain yogurt, and I decided to bread and pan fry the patties to get extra crunch since the patty was a bit softer than my personal preferences. Delish!!
That looks AMAZING!! I love black beans in my burger!! Yummm!!
I love your creativity....you make art!
loving him & this recipe! Can't wait to try!
Looks so good. Love the recipe and the tips.
Absolutely loved it
Jamie thank You for presenting options choices, allowing more individual Awareness and Accountability towards our Nutrition, immense Gratitude for your respect towards Food
It's awesome seeing you lean towards more plant-based recipes, thanks Jamie!
Did these burgers today and everybody loved them. Really amazing! Fresh and flavourful and probably not even that unhealthy =)
This looks incredible!💓
Its nice to see someone who really loves what he does no matter how many times he does it, he always enjoys himself.
ground coriander is also one of my favorite spices. it adds a light and fresh flavor to many kinds of dishes.
Jamie, thank you so much.
When I watch your videos, I always feel like you are my old friend.
Looks amazing!
Love watching him chop; you can actually take a class in that.
5:22 Jamie, I'm not sure you know what "little cheese" means. 😁
It actually is a little. It's the microplane that makes the cheese look like a lot.
You can see it wasn't much when it melted on the burgers.
No such a thing. Cheese should always rain!!!!! 🤣
Little Truthbomb: milk and cheese contains sexuality-hormons, antibiotics, blood and..... pus!🤮
@@Robin.S_1980 I'm with you on that one. Gross.
These were amazing!!!!Can't wait to bring them a big get together!
I love a bit of JO and this is on another level.
These were good! We might consider dehydrating the mushrooms a bit next time to lose some moisture but definitely recommend
4:35 "I love my meat"
I thought he said honey or money 😂😂.
Looks good! It's on my list of cookbooks to get..as well as his xmas one...
Made this today. Absolutely yummy.
I like the new style of filming. With these little glimpses behind the Szene. Keep it up :)
Amazing Jamie Oliver!!! I like your channel, you are the best!!👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🔝🔝
Great Recipe!
I'd love to see fast food restaurants serving these buns of bliss. Wow.
Yes, would rather order this than the lan Beyond or Impossible burgers available.
No.. you need to cut the onion smaller and fry it in a pan (plus garlic). Then add the seasoning and the mushrooms. And then blend with the beans and bread and you probably shouldn't blend so much. Cooking the mushrooms first takes out a lot of their water and makes them taste much better.
Only thing i would of added was roasted garlic paste on it

Thanks for keeping it real :) I got your book and I love it. people need to get over the fear of not trying all foods.
life is for living and all foods are for eating yum yum enjoy x

I was recently looking for a veggie burger to make from scratch..Thanks Jamie❤️
Beautiful!!
Bless our Jamie, not as cheerful as when he's back home. Chin up mate, your burgers look wicked!
To Be Honest absolutely no idea what this means ...
I agree, his NYC talk show appearances were all like this, perhaps because he had a loaded day of press outside of his comfort zone?
All right Jamie. I am sold. I am ordering your cook book right now.
I made this today and it was delicious 😋
Jamie is always entertaining, I love him..
Thanks for the veggie spirit! :)
it’s is amazing in black bean burger!! recommend 🙌🏽
To be fair this looks absolutely delicious 🤤🌱👌
Fun to see Jamie cooking again. Definitely making these. I think most veggie burgers aren't good but I love everything that went into that one
Heck yeah this looks so good! Love the new plant focused recipes! ✨
OMG, this looks so good, with all the juice running out, LOL. Looking forward to giving it a go.
Thank you, to You Guys, boys from London England,..
Watching this with my 4yo who loves cooking (he chose this video to watch)... when Jamie says he's no good at eating on camera, my son assures Jamie "no, he's really good at it!!"
Lol, to be fair, Nigella's better!
Love when Jamie cooks wonders
Looks really tasteful 🙂
Thank you!
I didn't know Jamie wrote a veg cookbook!!! What a chef! I must get it - like right away!
Lovely burger Jamie. My son who suddenly turned vegetarian was pestering me for recipes. I did make a few veggie burgers for him to freeze and he loved them. I’m sure he’ll love this one too.
I am huge fan of Jamie's knife skills !
Being a veggie now is so much easier than 39 years ago when I changed and these recipes really help
Loved the SUPER veggie burger!
Imade this with red beans it was amazing,I cooked it for a meat eater and we both enjoy the flavers
great stuff james
Hey Jamie, you‘re on the right track! Love that.
Ive been watching Jamies Kitchen since my Childhood
Thank you, looks amazing and sure same w taste. Please do more vegan dish. Many thanks
I'd actually want to try that!
I love how Jamie is always ahead of his time, always pushing the boundaries of our culinary imagination, always making the right thing to do also tasty. Thank you Jamie!
I am gonna try making this burger.
This looks amazing bro 🙌🤠❤️
Going to give this a try. Got to give up meat and incorporate way more veggies.
yesss🌱🌱👍🏻👍🏻
Don't give up in meat, just eat it less, you could eat meat a few times during the year, but giving it up is not a smart move.
@@hawwaahmed772 the Vegans that have been vegan for years and even decades prove you wrong lmfao. Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein (of the Misfits), Rob Zombie, Alyssa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Rich Roll, Patrick Baboumian, Joaquin Phoenix, Doro Pesch (vegetarian, but still no meat), Joan Jett (vegetarian, no meat), Dr. Caldwell Esylstein, Dr. John A. McDougall, Dr. Michael Greger, Dr. Neal Barnard, Dr. Michael Klaper, Pythagoras (dead, but he lived to around 75 years old), ect. ect.
@but ton How do vegetarians "make more sense", and where is your data that "most vegans" look "pale and sick"? Link some data, and while you're at it, tell me why you need milk and cheese which causes clogged arteries, constipation, and inflammation - because all independent studies say that dairy is not good for the body.
@but ton wow.... calling us stupid? Sickly?.....that's awful to say!
All because we don't want animals to be murdered!
I guarantee you if you would have to kill a chicken, pig or a cow....you wouldn't be able to do it!
I thank God for being Vegan!!!
God healed me from many chronic illnesses....I wish I would have been Vegan all my life!
Excellent recipe. What brand of blender is he using? Mine is no good, I need to change it. Thx.
Amazing 🤩
Looks delicious
Veggie burgers are the best and so much healthier then beef or chicken.
I completely agree!
@but ton you must be off your meds!
I prefer the flavour
Jamie Oliver is an amazing chef. Seriously, this man has created more delicious vegetarian dishes than anyone it feels like.
Man, that looks delicious. Going to make these soon. My husband and son eat meat but they also try and enjoy my vegetarian food too.
Absolutely fantastic!!!! Thank you Jamie x
