🦒🌺👌 !!! What a beauty!!!! I love the contrasting colours and the Brassavola features, perfume included. I need to get more, especially now that my little stars has given up and went to orchid heaven 😌 I still have the perfume of my j.cricket🦗to cheer me up in the evenings. Snoozers are so easy going through winter, no worrying about light or watering. My orchids do not snooze much... I bet you will have not much time to sooze yourself despite the weather change but I hope you still have time to walk on the beach and enjoy the fury of the waves. We are still having nice weather and still will for a few days more. The weather forecast keeps postponing the rain and cold days which I am not companing about because when it changes, temperatures will drop dramatically 😍🤗💖

I will be showing her here soon 😅 we are still fighting for survival, but, if it were not for the channel, I would not be holding on to her .. no way! Sorry to hear that your's did not make it! They should be so vigorous, but I guess it all depends on the quality we get when we start out. I definitely don't have much time to snooze.... the lights went on for the first time last night, after midnight, and then I make sure to switch them off so that they are not on longer than 6 am... I think I am going to do alternate nights when the days are this gloomy! And... I feel as though I am wasting electricity, but looking at my dining room now, it is pretty dark. They wouldn't make it without a little light here and there! I have the same mild temperatures you refer to. While this is going on outside, the clouds keep the temps steady around 17ºC, so I have some orchids outside even over night. But, yes... we are expecting a radical temp drop, into single digits by the middle of next week. For now, I am enjoying the mild temperatures, much like you! So... vecina favorita! Mary, hi! 🤩💐 thank you for your kind feedback, Mary! If I can get a good division then yes, and I mean a good division that I can pass on to someone else. But, a clean up every 2 years is necessary because of her vigor and she chokes herself out with the root system in the pot. If I had the space, I would let her get bigger. Now that I see how the space situation is in my dining room this year, I may consider potting this one up in a larger square pot come next year, ... we shall see what needs to be done in '22 with other orchids 😬 it will be a busy year again, much like 2020. Thank you for this care collab! I am finding that the Bc. Hybrids are some of my favorite orchids. Just recently purchased a Bc. Binosa ‘Key Lime’ which should look similar to yours. I LOVE Brassocattleyas! The colors...the fragrances especially at night - I have one that smells like lemon flowers!...and particularly the structure of the blooms! I grow them outdoors in Florida, with lots of sun in the late afternoon. Actually, they tolerate a lot of full sun and heat and bloom and bloom! Love the care collab videos. Thanks! It took some years for that one to bloom properly, but now I see the star shape in it as well. Gorgeous crosses, for sure! Hi Nina🌸 your binosa is gorgeous 🤩 i buy mine in the middle of the summer as blooming size plant and still then she give me one growth, no blooms and now she is doing nothing. But her size is twice smaller then yours - highest growth is that new growth and its 22cm only. Maybe she is too yang to bloom?🤔 anyway i like all Brassovolas and their hybrids and will try to collect as much as i can 😂 still then will have a pleasure to see yours🌸
Hi Amina🤩💐 I think that you are right in saying that your's is still small. But, the next growth should be blooming size. The don't do anything for a few months, at least mine goes into snooze mode after it has finished blooming. So, don't worry! As long as the leaves look nice, maybe with a little bit of freckling from anthocyanin, the roots are healthy, then your's is snoozing a little. They really are beautiful orchids... the hybrids always have such elegance to them. I appreciate you coming to watch my video, thank you!! Hope you had a beautiful Friday 🥰🌸

But this one... it is divine! I LOVE it! The color will not change. The lip will just start to look dirty as the freckles bleed into each other, but as such, there is no color change. Thank goodness, ... I love my green colored blooms! I hope that you are doing well, 🌸🥷🏼... that you are completely healed and got your mojo going. HI Alise 😍💐 I have mine somewhat fragrant at night as well, but it is more evident late afternoon / early evening. You are right about the temperature / time of day being a possibility that the fragrance is not as strong. Also, is it a first time bloomer for you? I dunno, this is one of those nodosa hybrids that just doesn't do it for me, too Christmasy or something with the red and green and white maybe (not a fan of Green Bird either). I'm a bit surprised it doesn't carry day fragrance, that the nodosa completely overrides it. I'm glad the nodosa fragrance, at least, came out for you this time, ain't nothing wrong with that beautiful aroma. Now I wonder if you were to cross it with dowiana maybe, if it would be more in my wheelhouse. Maybe it would end up similar to BC Keowee? I really wish I had a better grasp on orchid genetics, I need to read up. Hoping you had a better Thursday. It was such a dreary day here, cloudy and drizzly all day. Blah.

HI Alise 😍💐 I have mine somewhat fragrant at night as well, but it is more evident late afternoon / early evening. You are right about the temperature / time of day being a possibility that the fragrance is not as strong. Also, is it a first time bloomer for you? I dunno, this is one of those nodosa hybrids that just doesn't do it for me, too Christmasy or something with the red and green and white maybe (not a fan of Green Bird either). I'm a bit surprised it doesn't carry day fragrance, that the nodosa completely overrides it. I'm glad the nodosa fragrance, at least, came out for you this time, ain't nothing wrong with that beautiful aroma.
Now I wonder if you were to cross it with dowiana maybe, if it would be more in my wheelhouse. Maybe it would end up similar to BC Keowee? I really wish I had a better grasp on orchid genetics, I need to read up.

I can hear the surge from where I am at, and that means one thing... the Med is raging! I did get a load of laundry to dry overnight though, so there is that. Last night I had the lights on for the first time as from midnight. I think I am going to do alternate nights with lights on.
