Hollywood is a satanic cult. We're still in the land of oppressors and will continue to get the short end if the stick. A prime example Producers Kenneth Gamble Leon Huff and Thom Bell were the ones that paved the way for Philly Soul, Philadelphia International Records and The Black Music Movement. This record label was put together to promote Black Love, and Unity. You had Billy Paul with songs Ebony Woman, Bring The Black Family Back, Let Em In, O'Jays with Love Train, Unity, Put Your Hands Together. Harold Melvin and The Bluenotes with Wake Up Everybody, Tell The World How I Feel About, Hope That We Can Be Together Soon. McFadden Ain't No Stopping Us Now. All those songs were about US and how powerful we are Together. Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff started The Black Music Movement as a way to stop other races from stealing Black music. This is why I love Philadelphia International Records and the songs. They created their own record label without the oppressor's imput or help.

I hate to say this because the African American community does not like hearing the truth about themselves.
I grew up during a time when black people thought in terms of black power, peace and love and it meant something to them and they pursued it.
But I also think that black men started to abandon their communities in terms of commitments to the women and children..
This left the black mothers holding the bag in terms of raising boys/girls while dealing with hurt emotionally and mentally by the black male.
That's contributed to the JayZ types normalizing the N word. The N word degrades no matter who speaks it. It affects the psychology of the speaker and the receiver.
A person usually becomes what he speaks and believes and see in his mind's eye.
If u look at other non-white races in Amerca, African Americans are the only group that chose to normalize a degrading name that the slave master used to degrade them.
As a result, the current generation is in worse shape psychologically than the previous generation. This downward spiral in generations to come will continue. The mindset of a person is a powerful thing.

@@snodgrassgerald2352 guess what? As long as you don't actually create money you're still a slave. You're a slave to the riches of this world and self centered. The message behind Brothas post was to unite as a people to dethrone our oppressors. Not how successful you can be doing for YOURSELF. There's coming a time where money will be meaningless and all you'll have is your Brothas and sistas of Yahshar`EL with you or being alone and desolate. Selfish pride is another thing our oppressors use to divide us. Wake up before you doom yourself chasing your love for money

We as black people do have the unrecognized power. We make up a majority of the United States purchasing, social influence, and political power. The reason I said unrecognized is because we have all of this power and we are not using it.
If the Democratic party cannot get elected without the black vote, then why is it 70 years after the civil rights movement we are still trying to get the right and protection that every other race enjoys. Because we don't hold anyone accountable,
If we would walk away from Hollywood, buying anything but essentially, and politics within the next voting cycle there would be better pay in Hollywood, preferential treatment in shopping stores, and political concessions given to us because we earned it.
    That's true power.

Brother, everything you said about Taraji is 100% and I've been saying. She totally lost me with the crying. When I saw it, I said doing that in an interview crying and begging was unprofessional and immature. Talk about getting paid less, ok, but the crying you need to save that for at home talking to your man or friends. Our ancestors before the Civil Rights era would have developed their own, not wait for Master to feed us his crumbs. With technology today, there is no reason we need Whtie people for anything, especially movies. Taraji is not gonna develop anything because she has the mind of an employee not an Entreprenuer. She would rather wait to just be handed a check. And, like you said, she's a "supporting" actor. She does not carry a movie. Very few people are going to the movies specifically to see her but she is comparing herself with those actresses that carry movies. She's delusional.

Ironically , Viola Davis did a lot of the production and leg work for “ The Woman King “ on her own. She essentially created her biggest movie. That is why I supported the movie despite its historical inaccuracies. Taraji thinks she is a bigger star than she is and that is the whole problem. She was not a bigger star than Vivica Fox and Vivica says openly that she isn’t having the same problems as Taraji. That’s Because Vivica is willing to star in smaller budget films like “ True to the Game “ and get paid more because her name means more to those smaller productions. Taraji is not willing to do that when she could quite easily. She wants to get paid leading lady money while always playing supporting roles in major budget films. I could be wrong but I think it’s clear that the business doesn’t work that way.

We see a few rich celebrities to give the illusion of power, but those execs are the real power brokers. As far as we have come our number one pitfall is trying to assimilate ourselves into their system so much.
Taraji speaks out now but look at how they all remained silent when Monique got blackballed. It's sad to see how things play out. This is the shit Katt Williams was talking about. We constantly gauge our value in how someone outside our culture will receive us.

Monique was talking about how much Amy Shuler made from her Netflix special.
    WHY?
Why is she in another person pockets?
White people love fat white female comedians.
Did Taraji invest her money in other areas. Chris Brown owns like 14 Burger Kings. Did Taraji do anything like that?
    Vivica has a wig line.
People taking their money & investing it in other things that will make more money.
Taraji was in an interview once saying her manager told her she had made $1,000,000 & she was like, “Oh I did?”
HOW do you not know you made $1,000,000?
And she said her son works 2 jobs even though he doesn’t have to work. Oh so since she’s rich her son doesn’t have to work. Ok.
She didn’t start whining until she did The Color Purple movie(I hated the first one & won’t watch anything associated with it).

Particularly for Black Women in Hollywood, you only got 2 routes.
    1. Jennifer Lewis : understand the game from the gate and save your money while your value is high.
    2. Vivica Fox : Be willing to accept other avenues instead of deeming them beneath you to recoup and keep a steady comfortable income flow when your time as a Hollywood high earner is up.

It's sad that we will always stand by and watch our own get robbed and even executed and won't lift a finger to help. Only to judge. Same thing with Monique. She was independent and black people punished her for complaining and defending herself because of their own programmed jealousy.
Same thing with George Floyd. Nobody helped but then everyone wanted to riot,,, just like they knew that you would. Now the way people see Henson's claims are mishandled the same way. Meanwhile with all that work that Dame Dash does, the culture only sees him as bitter and they don't want to admit they were wrong so they ignore him.
Same shyt with Dr Umar. It's his own people hating on him. The man doesn't even have to do it anymore. Most of us do it for him. The only reason why black people didn't turn on Dave Chappelle is because he left quietly long enough for people to wonder if we'll ever hear from him again.
Being quiet about being mistreated is a black American pastime that we love to pass down to each other. Therefore when any of us rise up and try to bring others, our own will automatically stop them everytime, guaranteed! History proves that everytime is repeats itself.

No one is truly boss. Even if one owns a company manufacturing widgets if social factors like prejudice prevent people from buying your widgets you have no control over the market. You can only be captain of your ship, but you can't be captain of the sea.

"massah is our load and savior" undertone. Check yourself if you're a black person. You have internal massah complex. Dame is 100% right. No one can cancel him or force him to apologies (like they made/make those basketball ho3s you're talking about, do every time they speak up). The issue is, black people always trying to please and include massah with everything we do. Did you miss the part Steve Harvey said, they were selling out Arenas with just black folks?? So, you're 10K WRONG. Black people's $1.2 trillion a year buying power says your wrong. We just love massah so much, we DON'T want to break away from him and his sons and daughters.

Great topic and commentary my brother! I agree with everything that you've said regarding Black people being united and creating our economy.
We had this in the United States during the early 20th century through the middle 1960s. Integration and the racist Democratic machine ruined this.
The problem with too many Black people is that we suffer from self-hatred and a lack of trust for each other. We can be our own worst enemies!
Black people want to be associated with white people to the point of self-destruction! When Black people are successful they want to buy homes in white communities and buy European cars and clothing! That's a losers mindset every time!
As a Haitian-American, I was highly disappointed when I didn't see my flag when you spoke about Black people in the Caribbean! My warrior ancestors are an example of fighting against a slave mindset! We are the only independent Black republic in the Western Hemisphere! And we are still paying the price for that today. But we're strong and resilient. At least you mentioned us towards the end.

I thank you for your kind words, my brother. I know that you mean well to your people. I also appreciate the content on your videos. They're needed in today's fallen state amongst our people and communities!
The monumental achievements of my Haitian ancestors have been suppressed for obvious reasons!
The white supremacists' establishment has tried to negate our conquering of Napoleon's French army, along with the British and Spaniard armies by placing our nation under economic oppression through forced reparations, embargoes, and sanctions from France and with the help of the collusion of the devils in the United Snakes Of America!
And of course, they will NEVER teach children and young adults about Black men who fought and died for freedom and independence, and fuckin' won!
Haiti's economic oppression will continue to keep most Black people in an enslaved mindset because most Black people around the world would rather have the comfort of the white establishment taking care of them for their financial security.

The elephant in the room that a lot of Black people don't want to talk about is that as Black people get more successful, the rumors and conspiracy theories start. The idea then becomes no successful Black person earned their money and status. They only have it because they're involved in something horrible.
That's why we're always begging. Because if we try to climb to the top, we will get pulled down by our own. Just look at the Katt Williams interview. Look how many Black people found it so funny and all he did was run down successful Black men AND PROVIDED NO PROOF OF ANYTHING HE SAID. But it doesn't matter because we will believe the worst of our successful people. Until Black people shake the envy and jealousy, nothing will change.

Blaxploitation is an ethnic subgenre of the exploitation film that emerged in the United States during the early 1970s. The term, a portmanteau of the words "black" and "exploitation", was coined in August 1972 by Junius Griffin, the president of the Beverly Hills-Hollywood NAACP branch. He claimed the genre was "proliferating offenses" to the black community in its perpetuation of stereotypes often involved in crime. The genre does rank among the first after the race films in the 1940s and 1960s in which black characters and communities are the Protagonists and subjects of film and television, rather than sidekicks supportive characters, antagonists or victims of brutality. The genre's inception coincides with the rethinking of race relations in the 1970s.
