Curren$y and Whiz were already indie and grinding before Dame... Curren$y was with Lil Wayne first. And Whiz was with Rostrom.. They admired the idea of ROCAFELLA Dame, but Dame was no longer Rocafella Dame. Whiz and Curren$y went on to do their thing. Stalley tho he is absolutely right LoL

And I was introduced to WHIZ by the SHOP GLD people and the Motocross industry. A bunch of white dudes put me on to WHIZ, MAC MILLER etc before his dealings with DAME. SHOP GLD is the company that WHIZ owned a percentage of.. But SHOP GLD had ties into the Motocross industry. But I say all that to say, WHIZ and CURRE$Y were already well on their way before they connected with DAME. But after witnessing the success of JAY Z and Rocafella, who wouldn't want to chop it up with DAME and see if it's any business that can be done. Because in one's mind you would think he can instantly give you a business tip or boost of some sort. But it's safe to say that both WHIZ or CURREN$Y didn't need DAME technically. But I'm sure it was a honor to chop it up with 1 3rd of the ROC
Oh let me add.. it's a reason why mainstream commercial artist and their labels began to chase those HUGE UNDERGROUND festival stages. And acts like Curre$y and WHIZ were already welcomed on those stages.. Although BLACK and YELLOW was the song that crossed WHIZ over to black people. White people were already rocking with WHIZ. I been to SUPERCROSS and heard sooooo many white people playing PLANES by Whiz. I didn't even know who he was then. But then the stars lined up as far as BLACK and YELLOW and the Steelers go, and magically the labels had a reason to push a rollout to appeal to black people too..
