  • I need a cart so I can carry everything in one trip! This one came highly recommended so I went out and got it. Looks like it's gonna work out great! Might need a bungee or two, but I'm excited to try!
    Here's an Amazon link to the cart!

    I have been looking for reviews of Rock N Roller carts by KEYBOARD players. . .and thankfully, one of my favorite keyboard players has a video showing me exactly what I need! Thank you! This video still holds up and I appreciate you taking the time to share your review.

    I’m a musician myself (guitar) and finally decided to pick this exact model up! It arrives in 5 days and I cant wait to get it!!!

    I've had one of those for about 10 years...best $100 I've ever spent! I keep bungees and straps so I can secure everything. You need a hard case for your keyboard so can put that on first and put your other gear on top. Then you can strap down with bungees or straps so nothing falls off. I NEVER make more than one trip and I have my keyboard, monitor/amp, keyboard stand, bench, large plastic tub of cables, pedals, mics, power cords, etc...., music stand, mic stand, and carpet. One trip! But the hard case is key.

      Tim Heizer great advice, Tim! It worked out great tonight for me, even with my soft case, but I put my bench on the bottom of my monitor instead of on top of my keyboard. Sturdy and I didn't need bungees and I walked three blocks and took two elevators.

    what digital piano do you use for gigs? EDIT- never mind, Korg SV1, saw in another video. What do think of the RH3 action? And the onboard piano sounds?

    I use the predecessor of this cart, the Multicart. I have had it since 2004 and beat the TAR out of the thing! I live in NYC, so these things are a necessity. You should invest in some bungee cords, will make your life much easier! You're no going to win any Tetris tournaments any time soon, however. :) "Put-it-togetherer" made me chuckle. Oh, also -- get a metallic Shparpie and put your name on it, or it WILL get stolen!!

      Ben Asaro awesome advice, Ben. I'm decent at Tetris...so I really should be better at this! Ah! Lol

    So Aimee, have you used the cart, and how was it?? BTW, I have the same bench (Yorkville Sound?) and I love it, especially that you can adjust the height. Big wheels are great! I'd recommend a few bungee "chords", lol.

    • @AimeeNolte
      @AimeeNolte  7 років тому +1

      Herman Schryer it was awesome having it at my gig last night. Everything was perfect. Yes, I think we have the same bench. I ended up putting my bench on before my monitor and setting my monitor on top of the bench. The bench was upside down. By the time the keyboard was on top, smashing it, I didn't need any bungee cords and I was able to wheel all of my stuff about three blocks and to the club. Thanks for checking up on me.

    Next on list: Ratchet straps. (Bungee cords wear out too fast) Will the bench legs straddle the keyboard? If so, put it bench side down/legs up, under the kbd.

    I'm here because I'm looking at buying one of these myself. I have been leaning towards the R10 but it looks HUGE; much bigger than what I'd generally need. But at the same time it's usually better to have too much than not enough. 🤷🏽‍♂️
    Anyway, it's over 4 years since your review... -- How did it hold up? I'm especially interested in the handles and how they held up. From watching many reviews there seems to be a lot of play in them so they wobble back and forth a bit. -- Do you still have this cart? -- Did you ever have to replace the wheels? -- Did you upgrade wheels at any point or never found the need to? Would you have gotten a smaller model if you had to do all over again? THANKS!

    • @AimeeNolte
      @AimeeNolte  3 роки тому

      I’ve never regretted buying it. I still use it for my gigs and it has held up wonderfully. There is a little bit of play in the handles, but not anymore than there was when I first bought it. It has never bothered me. I would recommend it. It’s holding up great! No problems.

      @@AimeeNolte That's very nice to hear. I'm especially happy to hear the handles haven't been an issue. The more I research these the more I think I only need an R6 or R8. I appreciate you sharing your experience. Thanks. 😊

    Does it fit in the back of your car? You need two speakers really because the keyboard sounds better in stereo

      Aimee Nolte I have a center point stereo space station amp...you need to check it out.. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Spacestation3 It is SMALL and LIGHT and sounds amazing! It will bring your piano sound to life, trust me. It really does what they claim. If you have questions, let me know. I gig with this amp and love it.

    stuff will shake around a bit and move around and fall off the wagon. I'd probably make a folding box of cardboard or thin plywood, and use straps. I would Place SV-1 above, the pianobench could damache with with pressure, in cars: use straps to anchor gear in the car, so they do not go forward if you have a panic braking. security thinking. mybe a hardcase is best for all gear

    It could do with brakes for the downhill and maybe an engine for the uphill and watch your fingers!!!!

      Trevor Sowray no engine but it has those lock brakes on the wheels. A hand brake would be rad! Like on a bike!

    • @AimeeNolte

      Stephen M Brown the instructions said to put some on the axel before the wheel.

      Yeah! Good question!

    • @hermanschryer2910
      @hermanschryer2910 7 років тому +2

      WD40 is good for cleaning and loosening things up, but it's not a good long-term lubricant and will dry up quickly, leaving the axle unlubricated. I would suggest a few drops of oil, such as 3-in-one.

      Anthony Phillips maybe you write to me and tell me what upset you and why and then I learn from your comment instead of just being slightly annoyed by it. It's tough to make a video a day for 120 days and be a working musician. If all you had time to do on a saturday was get over to Guitar Center to buy the thing you have to have for your gig tonight, and that's it...maybe you'd see that this video made sense for me to post today. Nobody is paying me a dime for this, by the way. I honestly needed a cart and bought one.

    • @wdennissorrell
      @wdennissorrell 7 років тому +4

      I can clearly understand Mr. Phillips position. I would imagine that you drove over to his home and forced him to watch this damnable video about a cart. I cannot believe that you could be so horrible to force this upon us after all we have supported you all throughout your career. Now before anyone gets their undies in a bunch, I am attempting sarcasm which my explanation pretty much defeats my effort. I do guess individuals have the right to unsubscribe if they so choose. I ain't goin' nowhere. I like it here. Also if I had had one of these carts I probably would not have smashed my Behringer Euro-rack and my Kurzweil micro piano. Together they came to about four times the money of the cart. I guess my only complaint is where was this video before I spilled and crashed my stuff. Thanks Aimee, even if you are a friend of Jeff Brent. OK he is a friend of mine also but I never try to admit that. Take care and keep on killin'.
