I don't know why exactly, but foggy liminal spaces are one of the most liminal feeling ones for me personally, likely it is due the short visible distance making it look like a seperated world with you being alone in it and you only see a short part of the area anymore making it look like completly different making it very liminal. I remember being on a field once and there was dense fog, it was like I wasn't in my area anymore. I saw only the path infront of me and the field to my left and right.
