Bangladesh signed a $3.2 billion deal to buy 10 Airbus aircraft from the European company.
There is also speculation around a possible purchase of Rafale jets by Dhaka.

Thanks India for inviting Bangladesh to G20. I think we are going to warm up to the seat in the coming years because by 2040s Bangladesh economy is expected to be in top 20 in the world. If that happens, then we will probably be even invited to be a member of G20. As you all know relation between Bangladesh and India is more like a big brother. Let me tell you one thing, Most of us, Bengalis do not like to be treated as a puppet of another country. Our history confirms that Bengal was mostly a sovereign region from ancient times, out of control from any external power. I would like to see the India-Bangladesh relationship be more like France and Germany in the EU, more like friends and partners, with no hegemony on each other.

1)West pressurizing Bangladesh because of Arms deal and some strategic security deals. Bangladesh made a balanced Indo pacific strategy which also made US unhappy for sure. They're pushing Bangladesh to take side.
2) During BNP rule in 2002-2006 lots of Islamic radicals formed. BNP leaders invited General Parveez Musharraf in 2002. After that those terrorist got top level connection with government and people know this region including seven sisters were in trouble particularly in Assam. After Sheikh Hasina came to power all this terrorist were nullified. I'm sure Delhi knows that.
3) China invested heavily because India was busy in other side. They invested 8 billion precisely and half of them actually sanctioned by the Chinese. Japan got upper hand by investing 18 billion and more to come. Fun fact Bangladesh is balancing all over and trying to gain best from BRI without making any noise to West.
3) Rafale may come into light next year but the moral win for West is Bangladesh is not buying any Jets from China.
India's investment in electricity sector, Russians investment in Nuclear power, Western investment in infrastructure, gas and logistical development, Japan amd Chinese investment in Ports, Bridges, roads amd textile.

For example, Sheikh Hasina's government has been maintaining secularism in Bangladesh (a Muslim majority country) and fighting against Islamist terrorists, which is a major threat to peace and prosperity of Bangladesh and to regional security. Secondly, PM Hasina and her party Awami League historically have a policy of maintaining close friendship with India and its people, but some unresolved issues like the Tista water sharing agreement contribute to existing anti- Indian sentiment among Bangladeshi people fueling Islamic fundamentalism that goes against Sheikh Hasina and her government. Third and most importantly, the USA hegemonic pressure and hostile actions against Bangladesh. The Hasina government does not want to be aligned with the USA against China which is a major trading and development partner of Bangladesh. That is why the USA is on a mission of regime change in Bangladesh overthrowing the Hasina Government.
