i have had one of this with the same defect, It's caused by a parassite capacity near the lcd controller....you have to disassemble the lcd unit from the pcb and polish with solvent the pcb under the lcd and repass the solders in the same place.......it works! greetings from Italy....

I resolder the pcb legs with solvent.Then clean it very very good with alcohol and finally the LCD works perfect.!.!.!
