Your drone footage is amazing. How you got some of those shots while you were riding your bike is beyond me. I can't believe you don't have more subscribers. Your videos are much more than just bike riding.
Flipping heck I'd never considered going to Madeira because I had no idea how dramatic and spectacular it was. Mega video you've created again, really capturing the atmosphere and scenery 🙌
@@Josh-Reid yes you have done rather a lot of riding recently. I'm going to Gran Canaria at Christmas and can't decided whether to take road or gravel bike but volcanic islands just look fun
Fabulous. Plenty have spent an evening singing Happy Birthday in a bar, but not so many have spent the night in a Broch (is that what they are?). Time travelling must have been easy in that environment, and the out of body experience on a bike is wonderful. Thanks for the journey, and good luck in your race.
I hope the bivi bag or you have a mat as I couldn't imagine sleeping on top of the stones. Those Italian men must have been Napoli supporters after they beat Liverpool. Good luck with the race.
I'm a camping owner on the north east part of Sardinia, next time you visit feel free to camp on us for a couple of nights, all we'll ask will be a couple of references about us in your vids. Be in touch for conditions if you wish.
I just love your videos, but man, you got to do something about your audio you should you try an external mic or just do voiceover otherwise everything looks fantastic and the music is great…
So great video, thank you for that=) I'd be interested to know did you use tubeless, clincher or what tires? What maker and model tires did you have and any problems with them and would you recommend them?
Josh great footage. Thanks for posting. Can you talk a little bit about your nutrition? I know you eat a lot of pizza and real food but do you have a strategy while riding that many KM or miles?
After all your experience what saddle bag would you say is the best? im looking to replace my rack and drybag setup with a saddlebag and normally go with ortlieb but the design looks like it would sway a lot and would drive me mad over long distance. Also the bag requires 15cm of seat height what i dont have. I got onto looking at the ones same as yours where they have a frame mounted from the seatpost. Have you had any trouble with the mount coming loose? P.s great videos you do a good job to edit these while still on the move.
I have used the Arkel seatpacker for pretty much all my trips and it’s been great. The bag never sways. Currently using the 9l version as the 15l sometimes rubs on the rear wheel due to my saddle height on a small frame not always providing enough clearance.
@@Josh-Reid Bats are potential carriers of rabies, which if not treated immediately is 100% fatal. The big risk with bats is that they are really small so if a rabid bat bites you while you’re sleeping most people wont notice it. In the US 70% of rabies cases in human stem from bats. However the risk in europe is minimal. Theres only been one case or so of rabies in europe over the last 20 years. Theres no need to worry.

They were singing " Happy Birthday" in the Sardinian Bar. The guy pouring the wine, it was his birthday.
I think this is one of the best videos you've ever shot Josh, chapeau.
Fantastic scenery. Truly epic. Thank you for the video 👍

Probably a good thing I didn’t bring a bike to get some time off the thing but the roads and trails out here are stunning. Next time

Your channel is another level! 🙌🏼🚴♂️ So captivating and fantastically edited. Awesome job! 👌🏼
i love the last second of this video.... just a man casually having a shower in the middle of the night! Where else can a sweaty cyclist get clean!👌

Inspiring... keep at it Josh

Decided not to bring a mat with me it was a little uncomfortable but not too bad
Love your Videos. Enjoy your ride!

I really enjoy your video, do you have a map of your trip somewhere?
The shower by the road was handy 😊

I was using Hutchinson Challenger in tubeless. 32mm I believe. Highly recommend
Awesome beaches, birthdays, amazing drone footage, cute kittens, turtle porn, this one had it all!
Josh great footage. Thanks for posting. Can you talk a little bit about your nutrition? I know you eat a lot of pizza and real food but do you have a strategy while riding that many KM or miles?
The strategy is to eat as much as I can

How was your experience with dogs in sardinia? Especially watchdogs.
I can’t remember them being overly bad. But then I’ve had bad experiences in other countries so it may have desensitised me
What bib shorts are you wearing?
Attacus adventure bib shorts
@@Josh-Reid thanks, those pockets look very handy 😁 could have used them on my trip
Sardinia 40%, Sardinia people 1%, looking into a strangers face 59%.
Are you worried about mosquitoes and bats when bivvying in the open air in Europe?
Mosquitoes are annoying but I wouldn’t say I’m worried. Should I be worried about bats?
